K. is considered a real life superhero by her community. As a business owner and licensed massage therapist by day, she works closely helping women through all stages of life with her healing hands and holistic practices.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. Whether they are playing video games, enjoying the nearby Colorado River or desert mountain ranges,
K. is always daydreaming of her next story. Even as a young girl, K.'s head lived in the clouds. She would often sneak off to sleep early at slumber parties just to start dreaming sooner.

As a lover of all things fantasy, K. uses her real-life experiences combined with her imagination to create fascinating yet approachable stories. K. frequently reflects on her own childhood and upbringing as well as the journeys of her loved ones to develop complex characters. Her stories are often described as illustrative, compelling, and relatable.

Buckle up for an emotional ride through grief, trauma and heartbreak.

Chessa has been through more than anyone can imagine. She’s been completely shattered and has created a new identity to try and shove the past down where even she can’t find it anymore, but of course the past never stays buried. She’s such a relatable character that I was definitely rooting for. She had great character development and I loved that she did Krav Maga and BJJ.
Asher was an adorable cinnamon roll mc and I loved him. He was cute, funny and so good for Chessa, even when she didn’t deserve it.

There are some great side characters too. I really enjoyed Camilla, her scream singing and always having Chessa’s back. Let’s not talk about Brielle though. Grrr, she was awful and I couldn’t believe the lengths to which she went.

The story was very emotional, the author described it as chaotic healing which I think sums it up well. I proper teared up at one point when she reads a certain article, with the volcano of emotions that came with it. The tension and drama kept me hooked throughout and it’s got some nice gentle spice in too.

Overall, I rate this 4⭐️. A great debut from K. Lynn and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Don’t Say Her Name is a book that will pull you in and hold you in place. The characters are so easy to connect with and relate to. I became so invested in their stories I could not put the book down. You will go on an emotional roller coaster with Chessa and feel all the feels. There will be heart break, loss, grief and so much more as you navigate through all the emotional trauma she’s endured. You will feel it all in this medium paced romance.
Chessa is in a new place/school trying to find her way and discover who she can be despite her past. The character growth is exceptional and Chessa has become one of my favorite FMC.
And of course there’s going to be a cinnamon roll book boyfriend to add to your list, Asher! What’s a book without a new book boyfriend. 😘 lol This book was a nice change of pace and I really enjoyed it.

Don’t Say Her Name is a sweet, fast-paced romance with a lot more depth underneath. Chessa is a bold, compelling main character navigating grief and mental health while trying to rebuild herself in a new city, and watching her do it is genuinely moving. The college setting makes everything feel vivid and alive. K. Lynn writes characters who feel real, especially the women in this book. If you want a romance that actually gives you something to chew on emotionally, this one delivers!

Don’t Say Her Name was exactly the palette cleanser I needed to get back into reading after a long slump! Chessa is such a complicated character that frustrates you, yet you can’t help but to root for her. K.’s talent really shines in this book and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!

Beautiful story telling

The book cover is perfect for the story, perfect for the feelings you feel at the end of this book. Chessa is such a strong woman, through all the heart break and uncertainty she has in her life and her heart she still finds a way to keep going. To keep trying. I loved the pace of this book, every chapter kept me hooked. And our MMC… hawt.. loved him!!!! Not only was he so supportive of our girl he was also dealing with his own things. I truly feel we all need a man like Asher in our lives. 🤭
