Errant: The Forest Maiden
The goddess of nature has placed an ironic curse on a young woman who is now trapped in the body of a deer. She tingled all over as the short, spotted coat of a fallow doe melted back into the pale skin of a young woman.
She hesitated there, still on her hands and knees, her auburn hair forming a curtain around her face as she held her head down. The change felt as though it had lasted an hour, though it could only have been a couple of minutes at most. She gave her fingers a few cursory flexes. Even that felt incredible after so many months without them, but she could also feel herself growing ready for a lover.
After a few ragged breaths, a strong, calloused hand—his hand—lighted on her chin, guiding it up with a finger.
“My lady.”
