I had been waiting on Do It To Me, and I’m glad I did. This one delivered. The concept alone pulled me in, but the execution is what made me stay. The character development, the build between Nyne and Syx, the way everything unfolds… it all works together. I was fully invested in them, rooting for them and side-eyeing them when needed. Nyne stood out to me. She really took her self-care seriously, and I loved that for her, but at the same time I wanted her to slow down and really hear what was being said to her. Syx? He’s upfront, which I respected, but he definitely had moments where I needed him to take a little more accountability. The connection between them carries the story. It starts off as one thing and slowly becomes something deeper, and I liked being there for that shift. Juwell did what needed to be done with this one. I’m already ready for book two… and yes, I’ll be patient. 😂
Sooooo I need some information about this retreat, asking for a friend lol !
This book was so good, it wasn’t doing too much but also gave just enough. I loved how it was Nyne’s POV, as a girls girl it’s always good to see a females POV through her healing. I cannot wait for pt 2 ! Syx better stop playing games & get my girl !
3.75 Nyne needed help in the self-care department and got more than what she bargained for with Syx. Definitely need Syx’s point of view with the way everything went down.
