Some 3,700 years ago an Egyptian High Priest was mummified and entombed alive and cursed for all eternity. In the 1920s, dashing American Rick O'Connell, accidentally discovers the Lost City of the Dead. But the ancient curse of the Mummy is not dead. A heart-stopping adventure story based on the hugely successful 1999 film.

4. (a):"Kadeesh mal!" She shouted. "Kadeesh mal! Pareed oos! PAREED OOS!" Imhotep turned. He was afraid. How did she know these words? They were the end for him. The god Anubis came into the room. (b):I like this passage because it was happy ending. I expected this happy ending, so I was very happy when I read this passage. Moreover I like Evelyn because she knows everything about Pharaohs, can read Egyptian and is clever and a key person who can help them. I like this passage which my favorite character, Evelyn, was active in.
5. I know this story, because I already have watched the movie. However, the book is different from the movie. Of course, it's same content, but I felt another feeling for the book. I felt I became one of the characters in this story. Therefore I enjoyed reading this book.

Beni was one of precious friends. 5. This story is kind of a adventure and mystery and it is in Egypt many times ago. I thought Imhotep has a good personality at first, but he was changed by curse. I felt sorry for him. My favorite part of this story is that Evelyn met to O'Connell because I think this story is getting interesting from this part.
This book was a far cry from the movie, which I adore. When I requested this book from the library, I'd been under the impression that it was a novelization of the book, instead of a kid's version of it. It was almost painful to read it was so dumbed down.
