ARC REVIEW, although now available on KU!
maybe 3.5?? ⭐⭐⭐
this book was a weird one for me, they were elements i really loved, but elements that dragged and also annoyed me.
the racing/formula 1 inspired setting was cool and i appreciated that it wasn't just swept under the rug as an insignificant plot point like so many sports romances do (honestly, don't do a sports romance if you ain't gonna focus on the sport at all).
it wasn't like game changers levels of sport focused but i think it did it well without it being overwhelming. also i just like forumla 1, it's a rich persons sport and my god were these people rich.
i also liked that this was quite a bit darker than a normal sports romance, the author does label it as a dark romance which i guess it is and it isn't. there are some darker themes, but i wouldn’t say its the primary focus.
however, it was too long and contrary to what i normally love there were too many sex scenes that were repeats of one another and it was just kinda boring after a while?
from about 50% to 80% i found myself skimming a lot of parts and especially skimming the sex scenes because they were not doing anything for me. yikeees.
it was 600 pages. 600 pages. 600 pages .
also, yes i did like wilder and reed and i thought their relationship was cute, but they were definitely not my favourite characters. reed's personality was kinda nothing and wilder just had the generic bad boy aesthetic which is fineeee, but i found myself not getting that excited about their HEA.
now. the character that i did love was caden. i am SO interested in this bad boy, obsessed maybe. i need to know more about him and i can't wait for whatever happens with the twins. the side characters were fun and we've definitely set up a load more books with the sheer number of side characters and couples that were teased.
all in all, i did enjoy it, but it dragged and the sex was kinda mehh.

July 14, 2026Ok I'm not rating it, it's GN Wright so I'm sure it would have been five stars but had to stop at the 29% mark when this branched Into threesome territory.
I'm all for RH or MMM but when you have males that are dominant and possessive and it's been noted several times how much you don't want other men looking or touching your guy to then let it happen doesn't sit right with me in the character development so I had to DNF it which I'm gutted about as I had been looking forward to this one.
Technically they aren't together together at this stage so it's not cheating or anything like that but it filled me with a sense of wrongness for the characters.

Then I got past Matteo, a pretty good friend to Wilder (MMC1), and the few mentions of how these two have fucked plenty of times over the last 3 years🤢
Then I got past the jokes of Matteo in front of everyone including Reed (MMC2) about him and Wilder fucking🤢
To get to 29%, where I got a fucking threesome between Wilder, Reed, and Matteo, where Wilder is giving commands to Matteo to blow Reed then Wilder fucking Reed in front of Matteo. A fucking threesome after Wilder and Prescott have banged. A fucking threesome after the two have shared a passionate kiss. A threesome not mentioned in content warnings🤢

Oh this was so good. I loved Wilder and Reed! Their dynamic and banter was so fun and I loved their nicknames for each other. I really liked how their relationship developed and how Wilder and Reed really took care of each other when things got tough. I also loved all the side characters (minus Reed’s dad). I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Arc Review
This book was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. So many moments of wanting to scream, hug, shake and laugh with these characters! This is such a beautiful story between two male characters who come to deeply care about each other but also know that sometimes, loving someone isn’t enough to make a relationship work. This book explores so many important, deeply emotional and personal themes so I encourage everyone to take a look at the content and triggers! Overall, I really loved this book and it’s going to be one that I add to my GOD tier list!! The angst and tension kept me on the edge of my seat!! This series is going to be phenomenal!

4.5✨ loved this one! Gabby always writes such good mm! The prologue had me hooked from the start! The chemistry between these two and that first balcony scene!! Hot! Also I am obsessed with Caden he is so unhinged and I hope he gets a book! Loved Wilder and how he was so protective of Reed! Loved Reed and how he helped Wilder with his panic attacks. Just the perfect duo! I hated Reeds dad so much! Another thing Gabby is good at, Making us rage at side characters!! What fab start to the series!

As an F1 fan, the moment I saw this book coming out I instantly added it to my TBR. There are not enough racing books out there. This is not F1, but moto sport, and I'll take it.
Pit Stop has been a superb surprise. I loved EVERYTHING about it. EVERYTHING.
Wilder and Reed are the definition of opposites attract. While Wilder is moody, broody, confident by default and has that I don't give a sht attitude, Reed is more reserved, confidence is a facade.
Wilder is the dark in a sunrise while Reed is the light in the night. They need each other for balance in a way that takes you by surprise.
The way they meet is funny, the way they meet again is sexy, the way they become part of each others lives is complicated. Their whole predicament is complicated, but they just can't let each other go. The way they gravitate towards each other is so nice to read about, and I love how everyone else around them helps them get to that in a safe way.
The found family in this book is phenomenal, the way everyone creates a safe space for Reed instantly is something that could make me cry if I think about it too much. This is my second G.N. Wright book and by now I can see how found family is one trope that she can do flawlessly.
I love all the other characters, and while the series is about the racing Miles, or so I think from the title, I hope one day we will get a book about Cade and another one about Matt. These two played a big role in Wilder's and Reed's story and they are some interesting ones for sure.
I loved how the book did not end once the season was over and that we got to spend more time with them outside of that. I think it was important to the story. The epilogue brings us full circle, and at the end ( even tho this is a long book ) I felt like I needed more.

Wilder and Reed are perfect!
Usually when I read MM romance, it's the angst from one of them having feelings for someone he feels like he shouldn't (a man) that I really love. This book had non of that, they both already know, their feelings aren't a shock to either of them. However Ms G.N Wright still weaves that angst, want and delicious tension into everything she writes. And. It. Makes. Me. Feral!! 🔥
Now here's to hoping the next book is what I'm thinking it will be, because I need that book yesterday!

So I am currently unwell I didn’t know what to expect from this book going in as this is my first book by this author and I thought it was going to be just a silly little book about a race car driver honestly the cover is what made me wanna read what I didn’t know was that it was gonna make me blubber cry at 6 in the morning!
This is the story of Wilder and Reed aka Blue; Reed was contacted by Wilders dad to do a story on him so when he shows up in wilders room to do a interview it does not go well! Reed is in his posh suit and Wilder doesn’t react well telling him he doesn’t sleep with groupies before a race so after Reed leaves the room he goes to a party but dressed as himself he isn’t in his posh clothes he’s in what he likes he’s wearing his makeup and his hair is dyed blue so when wilder sees him again he doesn’t recognize him at all and after their spicy encounter on the balcony Reed throws back wilders own line at him and he finally realizes who he is
5e next day Reed is hired to be wilders personal PR rep for his rookie season and when wilder sees him again he is shocked
So their relationship starts off rocky AF total enemies well on wilders side Reed is just trying to get him to agree to interviews etc but slowly but surely they become more
Wilder doesn’t understand in the beginning why there are two versions of Reed the one he presents to the world as a Lamont and Reed the one who is open and free to his friends
In these books there’s always and I mean always an asshole parent and reeds is no exception he had to protect the family name so when he is photographed out with wilder and his rich friends and it’s in the news his dad stops by for a visit and it’s a brutal one
Wilders reaction is immediate when he sees how beat up Reed truly is and he gets his cousin who’s basically a psychopath if we go by what he did in the prologue to dig up what he can on his dad
This book has plenty of spicy moments for sure the balcony the castle the racetrack the damn yacht but we get plenty of moments that leave you sobbing like the racetrack when wilder walks away because blue can’t be with him because of the deal he made with his dad he will marry his best friend who is hiding too if he leaves his little brother Freddie alone
What I love the most is how much comfort they bring each other wilder dealing with his brothers death and not being able to tell anyone and Reed dealing with everything with his dad they finally are able to sleep when they are with each other
I love all the little presents Wilder buys for him the ring the lingerie the necklace and most importantly the book with letters from Juliet that one broke me because when he gave it too him wilder was heartbroken!
I do love some karma justice that reeds dad gets did I like Caden in this book for most of it no he wouldn’t tell wilder why he did what he did and it pissed me off but when the reason came out yeah that did me in LOL and I laughed SO loud when he just simply stated what he did to reeds dad LOL
Ugh I loved this story SO much but the 10 months later the press room the kiss ugh it was just the perfect ending for them! They got their hard earned hea!

The plan was simple: focus, drive, and win. Enter Prescott Reed Lamont IV, Wilder's one-night stand who has just been hired as his PR manager for the next 4 months. Reed is posh, preppy, deeply closeted, and everything Wilder usually hates. It should have been a temporary fling, a quick pit stop on the way to the top... but now, Wilder has only one goal in mind: making Reed his.
The friction and verbal sparring between Wilder and Reed is absolutely scorching! If you are a fan of enemies-to-lovers with a side of grumpy sunshine, this will have you completely hooked. Wilder is the perfect level of a domineering, possessive asshole MMC. He’s exactly the kind of character who makes me fall hard. Then we have Reed, who brings this beautiful, tragic angst to the story that will absolutely pull on your heartstrings and shatter you. The contrast between them is pure magic, and the spice and elite-level dirty talk starts off with a literal bang and never lets up!
PSA for everyone: Do not let this gorgeous sports cover fool you! Just because this is a racing book does not mean GN Wright has toned down her signature darkness (okay well it is definitely tonned down compared to Black Hallows or Hallowed Crows, but still dark). Gabs is a dark romance queen at heart, and she brought the heat, the suspense, and a literal side of murd3r and mayhem to this sports romance!
Outside of the romance, the found family aspect of this book completely captured my heart. The way Wilder’s race family just accepts Reed into their circle is so heartwarming. Found family gets me every single time!
I am so incredibly honoured to be on Gabby’s ARC team! She is my girl, and she completely outdid herself with this one! I literally ATE this book up. I dropped all my responsibilities and could not put it down until I hit the very last page. I have to apologize for blowing up Gabby's phone so much while reading, but honestly... I'm not even sorry, hahahaha! I also have to laugh at myself because I spent the entire first part of the book simping hard over the wrong character, but that's just the red flag ;) magnet in me talking.
This series is brand new, so you don't need to have read her other works to jump in, but it's an absolute must-read. If you have read her previous series, the cameos in this book will make you absolutely giddy. The book starts off with a literal mic-drop piece of news that connects the worlds, and seeing past characters make appearances had me screaming and squealing while reading!
I cannot say enough good things about it, and I am already feral for the next book! Drop what you are doing and go buy this right now!

Pit Stop was a very up and down reading experience for me. The racing world was well done and added a lot to the story, but I did feel the book was longer than it needed to be. Some parts could have been shortened without losing the main plot.
Reed and Wilder were the reason I kept reading. I loved how Reed’s struggles were written and how much of himself he hides because of his father and the pressure to protect his family.
I really enjoyed how Reed and Wilder's story started. Wilder not realizing the person he met was actually Reed because of his completely different appearance was such an interesting beginning. 🤭 It showed a side of Reed that he normally doesn’t let others see. What started as attraction slowly became something much more genuine, and I loved how Wilder encouraged Reed to be himself.
Wilder was probably my favorite part of their relationship. He wasn’t just the person the public saw him as. Behind that image was someone genuinely caring and thoughtful. The little moments between him and Reed throughout the story were so sweet, and the fact that he knew sign language was such a tender detail. 🥹 I also loved him calling Reed “Blue.” That was so sweet. 💙
Caden was such an interesting and mysterious side character that I still found myself thinking about his storyline after finishing. My biggest issue was with some of the darker plot points, especially the handling of the murders and the reasoning behind them. I found Caden fascinating, but I struggled with some of the explanations behind his actions. I wanted more depth and a stronger emotional connection to those choices because some resolutions felt a little too easy for me.
By the time I reached the ending, I was left feeling a little underwhelmed. I enjoyed the journey, especially Reed and Wilder’s relationship, but the ending didn’t give me the emotional impact I was hoping for.

Pit Stop was a very up and down reading experience for me. The racing world was well done and added a lot to the story, but I did feel the book was longer than it needed to be. Some parts could have been shortened without losing the main plot.
Reed and Wilder were the reason I kept reading. I loved how Reed’s struggles were written and how much of himself he hides because of his father and the pressure to protect his family.
I really enjoyed how Reed and Wilder's story started. Wilder not realizing the person he met was actually Reed because of his completely different appearance was such an interesting beginning. 🤭 It showed a side of Reed that he normally doesn’t let others see. What started as attraction slowly became something much more genuine, and I loved how Wilder encouraged Reed to be himself.
Wilder was probably my favorite part of their relationship. He wasn’t just the person the public saw him as. Behind that image was someone genuinely caring and thoughtful. The little moments between him and Reed throughout the story were so sweet, and the fact that he knew sign language was such a tender detail. 🥹 I also loved him calling Reed “Blue.” That was so sweet. 💙

I didn’t expect to relate with Reed that much. Basically in the way he hid who he really is so he wouldn’t be judged. The way he had to act like he was two different people pained me.🥲
Also, I really liked that even though Wilder is considered to be arrogant and just a famous racer, he was more than that. He could see right through the facade that Reed was putting up. Also him saying that he prefers Reed when he is his real self ahhh. (Him calling Reed, Blue😭🩵)
Both characters had much depth and they were very well written. I liked even the side characters a lot. This universe seems very beautiful and I loved that this book was basically the introduction. I liked that we saw both characters having struggles despite how they acted around others. We could see that when they were the two of them alone that this facade cracked🥹

I already knew I was going to go ape-shit over this book. The tropes snagged me in from the first look at the cover. Enemies to lovers with race cars, a brat, and on the dark side?!?! It’s like specifically engineered to peak my interest and keep it. The excitement and danger from the races and the roaring crowd is written in a way where you feel it, the anxiety and buzz from the atmosphere. You feel the rush!
Reed was cute as hell! Trying his best to live happily with what was given to him, accepting how he had to hide most of himself. “I watch myself disappear every time I look in the mirror”It’s a type a type of trauma that sinks in deep, lack of acceptance with actual brutality and violence, but he is still full of sunshine and kindness despite that. His determination, passion, want to learn new things and try his best even when he may not need to was so endearing. He’s a great MC that you adore right off the bat.
Wilder is the epitome of the saying “there’s a fine line between love and hate” and all the angst and venomous stollen stares are completely delicious! He truly believes how important it is to be yourself which is brave in its own right. Absolutely craved seeing how their relationship evolved and built this strong connection from miscommunication and misconceptions, fighting what they both felt. Definitely gave it a depth you fed off of. Btw, Wilder has a mouth on him! All the side characters were awesome and flushed out. You know who each one is.
It’s sweethearts coming together through different levels of pain and trauma, fusing together to heal the other and become what the other needs to not just survive, but to be happy, to feel safe, to live and to love. The epilogue was so fulfilling, sweet and tender to the nth degree.

When I heard G.N. Wright had a new series coming out, I was there for it! Pit Stop is book one in the Fast Miles series. Nothing better than a racing romance that is emotional, addictive, banter for days with so much tension, spice and undeniable chemistry!
Reed and Wilder. These two feel so opposite in so many ways. Reed, this man broke my heart. The trauma and abuse he has quietly lived through is heartbreaking. Always expected to live up to a certain standard while hiding who he truly is. Never truly just loved for himself and always feeling like everyone wants something from him. Wilder. This man is so cocky, he seems so unemotional, just so freaking arrogant. But underneath is a man who also has to live up to a certain standard in the racing world. Where Reed’s life is lived in secret, Wilder’s is out under full scrutiny. The push and pull, the banter, the connection, all of it is pure fire. I loved watching them slowly turn to each other, loved how they would care for each other, how they would so vulnerably share with each other like they had no one else. Oh. my. god. This was my second read of the author (I’ve only read “The Puck Chase” before) and I can tell I’m completely TAKEN by these characters! I can tell this series has a potential to be one of my favorites! Her writing got to another level here, holy! There is so much to digest and take apart from this story that I’m sure I’ll be thinking about it for a while, no doubts.
The journey we are taken with Wilder and Reed is such a lovely and bittersweet one. Those two broke and mended my heart the entire book. I loved Reed at first sight and this man made his personal goal of trying to make me cry all the time! Wilder had to fought a little to conquer my heart fully, but once he was there (and let’s be honest, it didn’t took much for him to do that), oh my, I just fell in love him! Those two go through so much but are also there building this connection and helping each other with theirs struggles. They have so much layers (and not only them, the side characters also have sooo much going on, but I’ll get there in a second!) and its all treated in such a raw but at the same time light-weighted way that has you gripping your seat and needing to consume every single word until they are at their so much deserved happy end.
The race background was so well done! I was super immersed in the sport and really felt right there with both of Reed’s and Wilder’s POVs.
The side characters, Caden, Casper, Bobby, Knox, Beck, Matteo, Eloise, oh my I’m invested in all theirs stories and I kinda need more of them, lol! I’m super excited to see where Wright will take these series, I already miss being in this universe.
Such a GOOD start of a series, holy! Enough to introduce us this new universe, but also building up and getting you hooked for whatever is coming next. Can’t wait to see those characters again, and OH. MY. I have sooooo many theories for the rest of the series! So hyped for that comes next!

This may be G.N. Wright's most comprehensive work to date and I am not just talking about the page count being not far off Puck Boys of FU! There is so much to digest here and I didn't want to put it down, just willing answers at every page turn but at the same time wishing it would go on forever.
Wilder and Reed's banter was top tier, and their relationship (as I have come to love from Wright's storytelling) is so raw and real. They work hard for every aspect of their connection and the pay off is *chefs kiss*.
Wright approaches trauma from a 'lights on' focus, not shying away from approaching the hard thoughts and feelings her characters are processing. The internal monologue from Reed's chapters particularly at times had my chest clenching and tears springing to my eyes.
As is tradition in the Gabbyverse, the murder board is in full use, with plentiful Easter eggs and cameos from Black Hallows being woven in beautifully. This I personally feel is a real strength to Wright's writing craft, weaving these in such a way that it feels organic and exciting for both long time readers of her work, as well as giving easy access into her backlist for new readers to enter the Gabbyverse at any of her series.
The storytelling truly is outstanding in this new series. On first impressions this book presents as a steamy fast paced workplace romance set on the backdrop of fame, wealth, privilege and high octane professional racing but there is so much more to this story under the surface. Pit Stop at its heart is a gritty exploration of imperfect relationships, the darkness that can lurk behind closed doors amongst family and ultimately of what it is to live and love messily, authentically and honestly.
I cannot wait to see where the Gabbyverse goes next, but for now, don't sleep on this author and raise a glass of champagne to the boys of the hour!

I was again blessed with another ARC read by one of my fave authors and what a story this was!
The way in which this book had me in a chokehold (pun absolutely intended) from the first chapter needs to be studied, but that is what happens when I read Gabby’s books, particularly when we get MM romance out of her.
We have broken boy, Reed who is living a lie, stuck in the closet and protecting the ones he loves from his hateful and abusive father. He’s a social media wiz who has an interesting balcony meet-cute with Wilder, a pure f’boy, arrogant, cocky and a rookie professional race car driver. He loves to do everything FAST and HARD (IYKYK).
The next time they meet it’s because Wilders father hires Reed to be his sons new PR assistant and overhaul his image.
These guys are like magnets who cannot stay away from each other, and the way they go from lust to extreme dislike to love is everything.
The depth of possessiveness and obsession Wilder has for Reed is perfection. He was an arrogant surly a’hole at the beginning but he would burn the world down for Reed and his character development was one of the things I love about how Gabby makes you love even the unloveable of her characters.
Reed broke my heart and I wanted to yell at him so many times to choose himself. But he is a deeply traumatised young guy, forced to hide his true self by an abusive father.
As with anything Gabby writes, the found family is a big aspect and this book serves it up in boatloads. The side characters are definitely sure to feature in the series and hello we got an Archer Fucking Gray mention so I was delighted!
And the spice? Yum. MM by Gabby always leaves me feeling like a sinner in church, flustered and sweating.
iIf you love banter, complex characters, a giggle and a cry (chapter 47 I have beef with you) and some top tier spice, then you must read this.

This book is much more than a sports romance. Wilder Miles and Prescott Reed Lamont IV couldn't come from more different familes, yet they have more in common than either of them realizes. Wilder carries the weight of a legendary family name and a racing legacy that seems impossible to escape. Prescott, on the other hand, has spent years carefully maintaining the perfect public image expected by his wealthy, influential family, hiding the parts of himself that don't fit their expectations.
The forced proximity setup works really well, with Prescott becoming Wilder's PR assistant for the racing season. Their relationship is a constant push and pull, filled with witty exchanges, emotional tension, and undeniable chemistry. What begins as something temporary and ‘bit of a fun’ gradually develops into a connection that's impossible for either of them to ignore. Watching these two slowly lower their defenses and getting closer and closer was easily my favorite part of the story.
The emotional journey is definitely a rollercoaster. Both characters are forced to confront not only each other but also the versions of themselves they've been hiding for years. Their struggles feel different on the surface, but at the heart of it, they're both searching for the freedom to simply be themselves.
I also appreciated the subtle connections to the Hallowed Crows MC or Fairfield U series, it was a nice touch woithout any interruption for the story.

This was unlike anything I’ve read before!
Pit Stop by G.N. Wright is the first book in the new series The Fast Miles, which features our two MMCS Prescott Reed Lamont and Wilder Miles.
This book from the start was fast paced and i did NOT expect the balcony scene at all. If you know you know 😝
Reed is set out to become Wilder’s social media guy to help clean up his reckless image while he starts his racing career around the world. And as you can imagine this leads to them having the biggest animosity and tension towards each other.
I really loved how much depth all the characters had but especially how well written Reed and Wild were.
Reed struggles with his self image, struggles with an immense amount of trauma whilst being forced to live a life he doesn’t wish for. A space where his life is rules and strict standards.
Wilder is a cocky man, oozing that self confidence and is extremely sure of himself. But underneath the layers of complex that Wilder has is the man who love and cares deeply for those around him. Now look the guy can be a complete grumpy ass but we love him regardless. He is at one with his own skeletons and struggles.
The chemistry between them both was done so well, it was palpable and at times so steamy you were just chewing through the pages. I loved how delicately the triggers were written within this book. Show-casting light on every day issues that that LGBTQ community deal with.
There were at times parts of the book i felt were a little bit dragged out but that didn’t take away from the rest.
Overall i enjoyed this one. Thank you so much for the chance to read this ARC

If I have to define this book in one sentence it would be “finding your path”
I don’t even know where to start, this book had me on edge through every chapter, it was a rollercoaster of emotions and for me it’s a well deserved 5 stars.
Let’s start with Reed, someone that had it tough and even after everything he’s still standing. On the other hand we have Wilder and I can define him as trouble but sometimes that’s what is needed. These two couldn’t be more opposite and somehow that is the perfect combination making all the angst and the chase better, their chemistry is unmatched and I love how they drive each other crazy in a good and a bad way.
Can we please take a moment to appreciate the side characters because I love each one of them, the banter, the support, being also a pain in the ass and they are the perfect description of found family. Also let’s talk about how everything is connected in someway with the previous books of the author, that made me so excited because I wasn’t ready to leave them yet.
I’ve been following this authors for quite sometime and she keeps surprising me every time. If you are still doubting of reading one of her books just go for it, you’re not gonna regret it and you’ll be looking forward to her upcoming releases.

My first book by this author, and it definitely won't be my last!
I honestly had no idea what to expect going into this book, but WOW... it completely exceeded every expectation. This has easily become one of my favourite MM romances❤️🔥
Wilder and Reed had me absolutely hooked from chapter one. Their chemistry was chemistrying from the very first interaction, and every scene between them was effortless, electric, and impossible to look away from.
They couldn't have been more different, and that's exactly what made them so good together. Watching their worlds collide was one of my favourite parts of the story. Their banter had me laughing, the flirting had me giggling and kicking my feet, and don't even get me started on the push and pull tension... IT WAS EVERYTHING.
The romance was perfectly balanced with an engaging plot full of emotional moments, secrets, and twists that kept me invested the entire time. I also absolutely loved the racing scenes; they were so exciting and gave us the chance to see Wilder completely in his element, which made me love his character even more.
And YES... the spice definitely spiced🌶️🤭 It hit even harder because the chemistry and emotional connection had already been built so beautifully, making every intimate moment feel completely earned.

I deeply love G.N. Wright’s Fairfield U series. This was just as amazing, I devoured this. I was having such a good time- let me tell you, the TENSION between these two. Wow, I was kicking my feet, they are HOT.
What initially was a very surface level relationship between Wilder and Reed, quickly spirals into deeper feelings. Wilder was absolutely feral while trying to keep an aloof front. Behind the scenes we can see him falling hard; taking care of Reed, trying to protect him, sending him gifts, and getting absolutely wild with jealously whenever someone even looks at Reed. I love a hero who wants to care for and protect his man. Beyond that Wilder wants to learn everything there is to know about Reed and he is so interested to learn about Reed’s interests. I fell hard for both of these MMCs and they will go down as one of my top book boyfriends easily.
My heard broke for Reed and his at home situation. He does not feel safe, at all, to be himself out in the open. I was so angry for him and the way he was being treated so many times, and we can see those same feelings reflected tenfold in Wilder. Wild does everything he can to throughout the entire book to keep Reed safe from his father. He wants him to be able to be authentically himself out in the open because he only wants happiness for Reed. There is so much depth to this aspect of this book and I deeply loved how it was handled.

I am not sure I can put my love and affection for this book into coherent sentences but I will try!
It made me feel ALL the feels. One minute I am raging, the next I am kicking my feet. I am laughing out loud then rubbing that ache in my chest. As is typical with this author you are in for an emotional journey! Strap in, sit back and enjoy the ride!
Following previous emotional trauma from Gabby I tried to stay detached from loving these characters, lest she send me to an early grave with more emotional damage. But somehow Wilder and Reed just wormed their way in. My heart ached in equal measure for both of them at different points.
I have yet to discover what kind of crack she is sprinkling in these books but I found myself unable to put the book down even risking my life to continue reading it.
The banter - top tier, the spice - let's just say the weather isn't the only thing that has me hot and bothered, the plot - stuffed full of Easter Eggs, cameos from other beloved characters and setting the stage for the books to come.
I now need a book for every character and I need it yesterday!

This book completely surprised me. I went in expecting a fun racing romance and instead got an emotional story that had me laughing, crying, swooning, and completely obsessed with Wilder and Reed.
The chemistry between these two was incredible from the very first chapter. Their banter, nicknames, and push-and-pull dynamic were so much fun, and I loved watching their rocky beginning slowly turn into something so much deeper. They didn't just fall in love—they became each other's safe place.
One of my favourite parts of the book was how they took care of each other. Wilder's fierce protectiveness of Reed and the way Reed helped Wilder through his panic attacks made their relationship feel incredibly genuine. Their quieter moments together were just as powerful as the bigger emotional scenes.
Reed's story absolutely broke my heart. The abuse and control he endured from his father made me want to reach into the pages and hug him, while Wilder's grief and trauma added another emotional layer to the story. They both carried so much pain, but together they slowly found healing.
The side characters were fantastic too (well... everyone except Reed's dad). And Caden? Completely unhinged in the best way. I desperately need his book.

Pit Stop by G.N. Wright is the first book in the new series The Fast Miles. Prescott Reed Lamont IV got off on the wrong foot with the newest rookie in the PCI racing league, Wilder Miles. The two now find themselves attached at the hip with Reed trying to clean up Wilder’s image while following him around the world while he races. Wilder hates the idea of Reed from the start and fights his attraction as well as his attempts to help him be more media friendly. But hate quickly dissolves into something else as the two get closer than they should and things get complicated quickly. But for a risk taker like Wilder Miles, he will do anything he needs to to win.
This is my first G.N. Wright book and let’s just say the cover is a bit misleading. Yes this is a racing romance but this book also has a lot of dark elements and high steam. That being said once you get into the flow of it both Reed and Wilder are characters you want to cheer for. Add in the chaos of the Miles cousins and the other racers, you get a great group you want to get to know more. Is it a bit long, yes. Does it feel drawn out at times, yes. All that aside I still genuinely enjoyed it and will be interested to see who is next in the series.
Turns out that despite his reputation, Wilder Miles might be the best man I’ve ever met.

I really enjoyed this book, it was spicy, had some fun banter and dynamic between the characters, it also had bits of found family and touched some traumatic topics like child abuse, homophobia, murder, anxiety/ panic attacks.
I loved how much depth the characters had,
Reed struggles with his self image and has to deal with a lot of trauma, he always has to live up to a certain standard and can't really be himself. he doesn't really know how it feels to be loved as he doesn't really love himself much.
While Wilder seems this really cocky man that is so sure of himself and seems so uncaring, while in reality he is this caring and thoughtful guy that sees right through every lie that Reed tells him and cares so so deeply for everyone that he loves. While he is really sure of himself and his abilities and tends to be a real asshole, he also struggles with a big secret that slowly tearing him apart and the pressure he feels with his career.
I love how these two found each other and were able to save one another from really bad places. how they found love and basically learned how love should feel like. They can be themselves with one another and also with the rest of the group, which is so cute to see. The side characters were also so so much fun and quite iconic so i'm really excited to see what's next for all of these characters

For starters, I want to say thank you to the authors for the opportunity to be an ARC reader. Every time I receive another ARC, I am happy that I get to do what I love most: reading!
This was both my first racing-themed book and the first I have read by G.N. Wright. The tension, banter, and spice between Wilder and Reed were absolutely hot with a capital H. The main characters were so interesting, and their storylines both broke my heart in different ways. I was definitely taken by the complexity of them both. While they definitely had their good moments, they also faced some complicated challenges, both together and alone. The HEA they got was definitely deserved.
Not only was I completely wrapped up in the chaos that was Wilder and Reed, but the side characters were, hands down, an amazing addition to the story. I'm curious to see where and who the series follows next.
Overall, I cannot wait to have a physical copy for my bookshelf. While Reed and Wilder were complicated and definitely a little messy here and there, they slowly claimed a spot as one of my favorite couples. I would definitely recommend this book and can't wait for the official release.

I received this as an eARC from the author and this is my honest review.
This one is not for me. I had to DNF at 10%. The cover caught my eye and then the blurb got me excited, which is why I requested the ARC. But the story is much different than what the blurb lead me to believe. A LOT darker. It's possible this author, who is new to me, writes like this all the time and I had no idea, but this was not what I was expecting.
A few reasons why I didn't read more before deciding to DNF:
- It's 57 chapters. This book is long.
- Both MCs are not particularly likeable, and while maybe they both get a redemption arc if you read on, their dynamic wasn't compelling enough to me from the get go to keep me invested to find out (for 57 chapters).
- The murder that's discussed in the prologue really threw me off, and before deciding to DNF I skipped ahead to see why it happened. I really dislike the reason and the easy acceptance under the premise of it being career saving rather than justice (even then I'd be wary).
- Personally, I find it very difficult to find any sort of understanding or sympathy for two hardened rich as all get out nepo babies finding each other and falling in love.
Anyway, this has an audience I'm sure, but that audience does not include me. The blurb and cover are definitely misleading to anyone who doesn't know this author well, so be warned.

A few reasons why I didn't read more before deciding to DNF:
- It's 57 chapters. This book is long.
- Both MCs are not particularly likeable, and while maybe they both get a redemption arc if you read on, their dynamic wasn't compelling enough to me from the get go to keep me invested to find out (for 57 chapters).
- The murder that's discussed in the prologue really threw me off, and before deciding to DNF I skipped ahead to see why it happened. I really dislike the reason and the easy acceptance under the premise of it being career saving rather than justice (even then I'd be wary).
- Personally, I find it very difficult to find any sort of understanding or sympathy for two hardened rich as all get out nepo babies finding each other and falling in love.
Anyway, this has an audience I'm sure, but that audience does not include me. The blurb and cover are definitely misleading to anyone who doesn't know this author well, so be warned.
