The Great ReOrg promised safety. Stability. A better Nation.
Bennett Cook believed it once. He bled for it. Sixteen years in Special Forces, multiple combat deployments, more classified operations than he could count. He gave everything The Nation asked.
Then they came for his family.
Now the surveillance state that Bennett helped build, the one he swore to protect, has become the enemy. And a Green Beret with nothing left to lose is the most dangerous threat to the failed utopia.
Nation Fall is a ripped-from-tomorrow thriller written by an operational Special Forces officer who has seen firsthand how thin the line is between protector and predator. Between safety and control. Between The Nation you serve and The Nation that serves itself.
The Terminal List meets 1984. And the war is just beginning.

My main complaint with this book is it ends in a cliff hanger. It is set during a time of great upheaval for our nation. People sought safety over our basic rights and then lost way more than they bargain for. The main character is a former Green Beret and he tries to get along until they strike at his family.
This story has concentration camps, children being taken from their families, and some wholesale killing in the name of protecting others. See what it provokes and how the little guy strikes back. Those in power don't take it lightly and someone is pulling their strings. Wish it didn't stop with such a huge cliff hanger.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is a.great read, well though out and we'll executed. Well rounded believable action and people. Cannot wait to see the next book , and the fall of all the bad guys.
Reid Cross, a real life Green Beret, and his fictional hero Bennett Cook, also Special Forces, fight through a scary dystopian USA that has come to resemble the former Soviet Union as well as the classic Orwell1984. Except here we thankfully have a true resistance. Cross fills in the action with his real-life battle experience and gives us a hero we're with all the way. And an interesting twist at the end. To Mr. Cross, thank you for your service and I look forward to your next book.
I’m look forward to more from Reid Cross. Thank you for your service and thank you for entertaining me with this book. I enjoyed how the various factions of the “new” government were described. Sure felt like something straight out of 1984 on U.S. soil. In the end, let freedom ring! Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward to your next novel!
