A Sweet Murder
Ever since the car accident that claimed her parents’ lives Grace Abrahams has been able to see ghosts. She meets them at storage locker auctions that she goes to with her brother, Frankie.

In ‘A Sweet Murder’ Grace meets the ghost of an older woman – Connie Flamingo. Connie was the head of the hugely successful Flamingo Sweets. Connie can’t remember how she was murdered but knows that it was committed by someone close to her.

As Grace investigates the mystery she soon finds out that many members of Connie’s family had plenty to gain from her death. Furthermore, investigating Connie’s death has an unfortunate side effect on Grace.

As always, Pearl, the resident ghost at Grace’s shop, is on hand to offer advice.

Murder Vows
In this story Grace meets the handsome Archie Goodwin. Archie was murdered a few hours after getting married to Jessie. Archie knows for certain that he was murdered, but he doesn’t know who would hate him enough to kill him.

As Grace looks further into the mystery she soon finds more than one suspect. She also meets another ghost, a young girl who is wearing Jessie’s wedding dress. Who is this ghost? And what has she got to do with Archie’s death?

A Deadly Lesson
In this story, Grace meets a young girl, Abbie Quill, who died on her eighteenth birthday. Abbie was the victim of a hit and run. Grace discovers that Abbie waved to the driver just before the car sped up and raced towards Abbie on purpose.

Abbie can’t remember who the driver was, but she knows she saw L-plates on the car. It’s not long before Grace discovers several suspects – all with L-plates on their cars. But who killed Abbie? And why?

I'm an avid fan of mystery stories. I started reading Agatha Christie novels at an early age. My favourite fiction detective is Poirot, I love his fussy ways and his attention to small details. I love the TV series, 'Murder She Wrote' and have watched every episode. I like working out who the killer is, and what the clues are.

I live near Leeds, Yorkshire, which is in the north of England. My two daughters live with me and they are understanding about my passion for mystery shows! I've now discovered 'Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries'.

I've been wanting to write my own mystery stories for years - and now I finally have.

A wonderful read!

Grace can see ghosts! She also talks to them and helps them solve their murders. Frankie, her brother, runs the Antique store their parents left them. Great characters and so easy to read, it was hard to put down, even between books!

A whole new way of reading about someone who sees ghosts. Great characters and setting and I love that each story is stand alone and not continued.

Kindle Unlimited, A Different Shade Of Death (Storage Ghost Murder Book 2) {free with 2 other books with subscription, not ku} almost every one, sometimes if subscribed will get sent free books or notices when it's a free day. Every now and then something doesn't make sense, but might be reading out of order or could be the difference from story to story, some detail or other. Some are errors of one kind or another. Amazon shows totally different cover so not positive exactly same collection.

Great Series, Great set

There are a number of stories in this set in the four to five star range. There are ghosts in other series that are attached to objects, but none attached to items in abandoned storage units. Grace, our protagonist, has a business that requires her to buy the contents of abandoned storage lockers, and this provides the perfect opportunity to meet ghosts of people who have been murdered. I like this concept very much because the way other amateur sleuths in mystery books find their cases just doesn't often ring true. (Most of us are never close to even one murder in our lifetimes, thankfully, and certainly don't "accidentally" run across a dead body every few weeks. Especially not one that has a mysterious ending.)

Grace is pleasant, if a bit timid, but her character does develop over the course of the series. The supporting characters are amusing, if annoying on occasion; I was actually cheering when Grace finally stood up to her brother! Another nice feature of this series is that the plots are more complex than most cozy mysteries, even providing a surprise perpetrator in some of the books. Unlike others in the genre, the clues are present, but not so obvious that it's a forgone conclusion. I also really enjoyed the British ambience; these are ordinary English shop owners going about their day. I did have to look up a few things, like what a bacon and egg buttie is, but personally, I enjoyed that too.

In short, these are the best of their kind, not just of paranormal cozy mysteries, but of cozy mysteries in general, and I do look forward to more. Cozy mysteries are what they are, but these are great with a cup of tea on a dark winter day.

I would encourage you to read the prequels first in a set called "Jacob's Coins". A lot of backstory is there, including how she first begins to see ghosts, her first ghosts who have needs not involving a murder, and how she acquires her "ghost guide" Pearl.

The books are easy to read with humorous tones throughout.

Since Grace’s parents died tragically in car accident she can see and hear ghosts who have been murdered. She helps the ghost to find out how and who murdered them so that they can move on.

Grace and her brother attend sales of items in storage units which is where Grace always encounters the ghost. They continue with the business selling the items from the storage units and other places continuing the trade their parents set up before their untimely death. The shop comes with an older resident ghost who helps Grace unravel the clues.

Grace sometimes has a hard time keeping her secret from her brother and other people.
