Hi, I’m Caitlin Titman, a military spouse, mom of four, and professional photographer with a lifelong love of storytelling. I’ve been an avid reader since second grade, when I first discovered how powerful it felt to disappear into a book. Stories have always been my escape, my comfort, and my inspiration. Over time, that love of reading grew into a desire to tell my own stories, the kind that pull you in, keep you up too late, and stay with you long after you turn the last page. When I’m not behind the camera capturing fleeting moments, I’m at home with my family, reading late into the night, or dreaming up new characters and worlds. Writing is more than a hobby for me. It is a passion rooted in the belief that stories connect us, challenge us, and remind us we are never alone. Thank you for being here and for giving my words a place in your life.
I’m so grateful to have been apart of this ARC team! This book was so beautiful! I dove in completely blind only knowing it was a military romance but it paid off 100%! While I can’t relate to the military aspect, I can relate to the grief more than I wish I did and it was written perfectly! I was absorbed into Weslie and Wrigley’s love story and I loved every minute of it!!
Super stoked to be apart of the ARC team for Static in the Sky. It was such a heartfelt and uplifting read. I really loved the emotional depth of the story and how connected I felt to the characters Weslie and Riggs throughout. The military aspect added so much to the book which gave the story a really unique perspective and made the emotional moments feel even more meaningful and real.
The writing was easy to get into, and I found myself genuinely rooting for Weslie and Riggs the whole time. Rating 4 stars because there were a couple of moments where I wanted just a little more, but overall I thought it was a beautiful story about love, growth, and finding your place with the balance of heartbreak and grief. Definitely worth reading!
i had the opportunity to read this book as an ARC, and i feel incredibly grateful for that. i don’t typically reach for military romance because it can sometimes feel inauthentic when it’s written without real connection to the lifestyle but that was absolutely not the case here. caitlin, as a military spouse herself, captured the emotions with such honesty and depth, especially the weight that comes with hearing the “D word.” she didn’t just create a compelling storyline but she also brought the military spouse experience to life through weslie in a way that felt real and relatable. this book made me smile, it made me cry, and it stayed with me after I finished and will continue to. i will continue to read anything caitlin writes because she does such a phenomenal job. thank you, caitlin, not only for this beautiful story, but for the opportunity to be part of it as an ARC reader, and for allowing hayden and I to represent it on the cover. 🤍
This military romance will hook you from the start!
From tragedy to emotional turmoil to found love and family, this book has it all. There is even an enemies to lovers vibe going on throughout. Weslie-Kate and Wrigley's story will have you speeding through your to do list and reading late into the night just because you won't be able to put it down! I absolutely love Caitlin's writing style and how she is able to bring these characters to life in such a realistic way. While her main characters are amazing, the side characters in her books always steal my heart as well. This would be a great, relatable read for military spouses who have experienced all of the emotions that come with deployment. BUT, I am not an active military spouse and I still greatly enjoyed this book! I think that it has all of the things that any romance reader would enjoy.
Thank you Caitlin for trusting me to be a beta reader for Static In The Sky!
Thank you Caitlin for letting me be apart of your ARC team!
If you have been through a deployment whether with your SO or yourself, Static In The Sky will get you in all yours feels. Caitlin truly captures the feelings and emotions involved in the military lifestyle. Not only does she captures that lifestyle she puts you right in the middle of the emotional turmoil each character is going through. It’s not even just the main characters. Every relationship from friends, parents, and siblings. She brings you right in to experience everything!
Weslie Kate and Riggs are perfection but so are each character within their circle. I’m just sad it’s over and I can’t reread it again for the first time.
Thank you Caitlin for letting me be apart of this ARC read!
Lets me start by saying this isn’t my preferred genre bc it is so real. I usually prefer to stay with my dragons <3 I am not a military spouse, I do come from a large military family. From page one it took me back to a place and time where I KNOW feelings similar. The banter was hysterical! The story just keeps you going back for more. The characters jumped straight off the page and I felt like I knew them personally.
In knowing this author personally I could see her saying a lot of the witty banter and that just made it all the more enjoyable for me! <3 when’s the next one? I may need to make room in my heart for this genre.
I’ve only read a few military romances, and yeah they made me feel some things; but Static in the Sky made me feel ALL of the things!!
Seriously! The instant spark of attraction between Weslie and Riggs, the slow burn leading up to the intense flames that was their love, both their willingness to make it work… it was all perfect.
We can’t forget Gus. Gus was the best character in the book! ;) I loved him so much 🐶
Not to mention, Caitlin’s writing was perfect. Everything was very detailed and I could imagine everything perfectly.
I loved the characters, the plot, the way the story sinks its hooks in you from the first page. I laughed, I cried, and I laughed some more. The cute banter, the nicknames for each other. The instant attraction but not sure how to handle it. I couldn’t stop reading. I was even reading it at work. lol. If you like a good military story, I definitely suggest you read this. It’s a found family, enemies to lovers, there’s joy, there’s grief, there’s heartache. I felt all the feels with this one!
I was selected to read this as an ARC and I’m so grateful to have been chosen because this book has become a favorite romance of mine. I’ve always been drawn to military romances and without giving too much away, this book puts you through an emotional journey of loss and deployment. I’m Caitlin’s writing is beautiful and I LOVED Weslie and Riggs’ story so much. ! I encourage you to pick this up when it comes out on June 1st!
Such a good read and oh man the emotions this book pulled from me. I would rate this a 4.25 ⭐️ and 2 🌶️ the love story has some ups and downs they have to get through but man a love like that is always worth fighting for. I can’t wait to see what else @Caitlin Titman - Author 📚✨ has in store for us.
This book will suck you in straight from the prologue. This one hit home as a military family. Bring your tissues because I promise you will need them! Wrigley and Wesley Kate are something worth the pull
Loved this book. You can feel the emotions. The unknowns. As a military spouse, this hit feelings. It keeps you on your toes, you want more from each chapter......just loved it! I would definitely recommend.
This was SO GOOD!! The character chemistry, the depth and emotions, the “forbidden love” trope…I ate it up!! I love a good military romance and this checked all the boxes!!!
This story is well written and I could not put it down! I devoured this in a day! Weslie and Wrigley’s chemistry was amazing and I have nothing but good to say about this book!
I can honestly say this is one of my top books of 2026. It is a military romance with forced proximity and it's beautiful!! Weslie's story of loss blossoming into love with some hilarious best friends mixed in had me unable to put this book down! The amount of emotional damage received will stay with me for a while! And I love it!! ❤️
