After Emma was shot and left for dead in an alley in Seattle, the assumption is that her father has come back to gain retribution for a past wrong. While she’s recovering, Emma stays with Trace at his condo where threats and continued problems seem to plague them. Then, when the problems focus solely on Trace, rather than Emma, they figure out that there’s more threatening these two than just Emma’s past. Now they need to figure out who would want to hurt Trace by hurting the one woman that Trace loves the most.
When I was 15, I was forced to visit the library against my will to find a book for school. I ultimately decided on V.C. Andrews', Flowers in the Attic. Since the moment I stepped into that mesmerizing world of fantasy, imaginary places, and creative characters, I have wanted nothing more than to write novels.
I'm currently living in Illinois with my husband and three children. When I'm not writing, I enjoy reading, sewing, stitching, painting, and almost any other creative pursuit to fill my time
The second book starts right after the end of the first book – Emma was shot and left for dead in an alley. Was it her father? No one knew because she couldn’t remember a thing.
Soon allegations were pointing out to Trace because of his past. But Emma trusts him implicitly. She knew Trace wouldn’t do anything to harm her. It has to be her dad. While recovering, she stays with Trace. But a whole lot of problems seems to plague them endlessly. And it seems Emma wasn’t just the target. Now they just have to figure out who wants to harm them…
It’s not only Emma and Trace, but there’s Danny and Emma’s friend too. I love her wit and sass, and the both of them are just fun to read about. I see the love and concern coming from Trace, it must drove Emma crazy, but he just wants her safe, and he earned a lot of points for that. He will do anything so that harm wouldn’t come near her.
The second book had me hooked because the mystery is about to unfold. There were a lot of twists and turns, and I had some idea who might that be, only to find out I was wrong. Yep, Michelle Leigh surprised me. There were things I didn’t see coming.
This is a contemporary romance. The continuation of surviving, it is not meant to be a stand alone. This is for adults only due to the sexual content. I still love the relationship between Emma and her brother, and I would love to know more about him and his story. This is a fast paced romance, one that is love at first sight, and when you almost lose it well.... you want to grab on to it and never let go. I would love to read more about their future.
Emma is shot and can not remember who shot her. Is it a blessing or a curse? Speculations fly and the authorities are pointing fingers at Trace. Or course Emma defends Trace, she knows that it wasn't him. Trace offers to take care of Emma during her recovery and she gladly accepts. Now they need to make the police look for the real person who shot her. But circumstances change and they may get some much needed answers.

"He's loaned out his goon-for-hire to me today." "Sam sits back and eyes his muscular arms, which are her personal form of krypton." "He whispers my name like a prayer."
Suspenseful and Intriguing 4.4 Stars Enduring is the highly anticipated second book in this duo-logy. At the end of Surviving, the first book, Emma Black is in the hospital fighting for her life. She had been found severally beaten, shot and left for dead. The love of her life, multi-millionaire Trace Alexander, won’t leave her side. He is heartsick that he was unsuccessful at protecting her from her stalker, whom Emma believes is her long lost abusive father. After Emma recovers enough to be released from the hospital, she moves in with Trace. The security in and around his home makes her feel safe. Trace hires a bodyguard for Emma and then doubles his efforts to find her stalker. This book has an air of mystery and reverence that becomes more developed with each added chapter. Every time I thought I had this conundrum figured out, the story took on a new twist. Cleverly written, deeply moving love story! I was gutted when surviving ended on a cliffhanger, I couldn’t wait to get stuck straight into Enduring to see where Emma and Trace’s story took us next.
Emma was shot by her father and left for dead at the end of surviving, we assume that is the only threat but quickly realise that isn’t the case and there are other forces working against them.
I had a niggling feeling of who was responsible for there events that kept happening in this story. This book kept me on my toes trying to figure everything out and kept my interest throughout. Although there were still some issues with the editing it didn’t take much away from the story and i still wanted to read on and find out what happened with this couple.
I really hope we get a book from Danny, he has an air of mystery surrounding him and I’m intrigued to see what he has been through after leaving Emma. Hopefully he and Samantha will end up together but if not I would like Sam to get a book of her own.
Enduring is the conclusion of surviving. The prologue aggrivates me because its a pure rehash of Trace and Emma meeting, written in Trace's perspective. I'm was literally scared I was about to reread the entire book of surviving from Trace's POV. Thankfully this is not the case. Their is some reminders from the first book, which I guess is nice if you did not read these back to back.
Anyway. Chapter one to the end- Awesome!! I dont get a big romance feel from Trace and Emma, but I'm sucked into the plot. With twist and turns and unexpected outcomes I was held captive to finish this story. Emma is a much stronger person in enduring who you just root for to get her HEA. Much less violence in this book and a bigger look at the struggle of 2 16 year olds living on my he street. Now I really want to know who Samantha ends up with !! ;)
Enduring, book 2 of the Surviving series. This book started where Surviving (book 1) left off. As the story continues, with Emma found almost dead on the alley, things get more interesting. With all the threats and problems happening, Emma and Trace's life will get more intense. I love how as the story goes, got me hooked all throughout! Loved it!! Not sure if there's more book/s coming but I hope the would be! LOL!
Book two picks up were book one leaves off and let the suspense pick up there too. The author really puts it out of the park with the characters in this series, without any one and this story would not be the same. Every time you think you know were the author is going to take the story and who is behind it your wrong and the plot thickens !!
