This is the sequel to Terence Reese's classic 'Play These Hands with Me'. He allows the reader to follow his thoughts through a series of 75 challenging deals. Each is featured in a self-contained 'short-story' where the hands are presented and the play analysed.
Reece invites us to share his thinking as he plays a hand and comes to the right decision. Unfortunately on at least one occasion he lets slip that this is a "Just so" story. Nevertheless even a just so story can reveal some truths of the way to think and how we do not know everything on first glance.
Excellent book. Gives insight into how an expert thinks while planning and playing a bridge hand. Many difficult hands I would not have gotten right at the table (but would hope to in the future!).
