"Before Silence Finds Me" by Argha Pal is a wonderful collection of poems divided into four sections: Silence, Love and Absence, Breathing and Emptiness, and Staying and Endurance.
Each section offers poems that touch the heart. I especially loved the Breathing and Emptiness section. My favorite poems were "Quiet Things That Stayed", "Breathing but Not Living", "A Life That Didn't Ask Me", and "Soft Things Break Too."
The poet writes in simple, lucid language, making the collection accessible even to readers who are new to poetry. Every poem carries warmth and quiet emotion that lingers long after you've finished reading.
One line that stayed with me is: "I go through life like a shadow, touching things without ever holding them." There are many such lines throughout the book that you'll find yourself deeply connecting with.
