Systematic Theology for Teens in 21 Days: Discovering Biblical Truth and Christian Apologetics to Build a Faith You Can Defend

Rate this book
Your teen is not going to finish a 52-week workbook. Fifteen minutes, they will do.Most teens do not walk away from faith because they stopped believing. They walk away because someone pushed back, they had nothing to say, and it happened often enough that faith started to feel embarrassing.

You have probably seen the moment. A friend, a teacher, a video, a comment at the dinner table. Your teen goes quiet. Later you ask, and they say it is fine.

Systematic Theology for Teens in 21 Days gives them the answers before that happens again. One real question a day. Fifteen minutes. Twenty-one days.

WHY 21 DAYS AND NOT 52 WEEKSA year-long program sounds thorough. In practice most teens abandon it by February, and an abandoned workbook teaches them that faith is homework. Twenty-one days is short enough to finish and substantial enough to change how they think.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENTApologetics, not memorization. Each day connects a doctrine to an objection your teen will actually hear, so they can defend what they believe instead of only describing it.Written for them, not at them. Modern language, no talking down, no oversimplifying. Teens spot condescension instantly and stop reading.Doubt is allowed. No quizzes, no answer key. The Think for Yourself prompt at the end of each day asks what they actually believe and why. Conviction that survives pressure gets built that way. It cannot be handed over.Grounded, not guessed. Historical, scientific and biblical evidence that holds up under real scrutiny, not talking points from a handout.Fifteen minutes a day. Built for a teenager with homework, practice and a phone.
THE 21 QUESTIONS INCLUDEWhy believing in God is a reasoned position and not a blind leapWhether the Bible can be trusted, knowing its history and its hardest passagesWho Jesus actually claimed to be, and why the resurrection survives scrutinyWhy their worth does not depend on grades, likes or a highlight reelWhy a good God allows suffering, and why the cross is more than a platitudeWhy faith and science were never actually at warWhy borrowed faith stops working, and how to build one that is theirsF.J. Sanders walked away from faith at fourteen because "just believe" was the only answer anyone gave him. He spent years cross-examining every hard question before rebuilding a faith of his own. This is the book he needed at fifteen.

Part of the Defend and Discern Series, alongside Systematic Theology for Adults for parents who want to work through the same questions at their own level.

Whether your teen is curious, quietly pulling away or openly skeptical, this meets them where they are. A strong fit for homeschool families, youth ministry, confirmation preparation, and grandparents looking for a Christian gift that does not end up shelved.

I read this to see if it would be good for my 13-year-old son. I appreciated how the author encouraged the reader to ask questions about his/her faith and explore WHY they hold certain beliefs. It is about teens making faith their own.
