Reread on Christmas 2021, and I still absolutely adore this WEBTOON! Kayden and Curtin are hilarious, and Jiwoo is still such a selfless cinnamon roll!
Reread May 4th. I’m such a fan of the found family trope and Jiwoo has found the best!
One of my top five webtoons! Jeho Son is one of my favorite artist, and he has a way of crafting hilarious yet serious characters.

Definitely one of my favourite manhwas. I see many people loving this webcomic because of all the funny and humorous parts, and while I really enjoyed reading all those comedic interactions between the characters, what really stood out to me was all of the character development. I especially loved Jiwoo's character development; his values clearly changed while he still managed to keep that same base personality at the beginning of the story. Jiwoo, Wooin, Jisuk, and Subin are literally the dream quartet; I dare you to prove me wrong.
The fact that the authors/artists of Noblesse and Girls of the Wilds teamed up to make this manhwa... that in itself is already screaming masterpiece.

“Time spent with cats is never wasted.” – Sigmund Freud
This story made me laugh so much that I audibly choked. I love this plot and the development continues to burn deeply in my heart but, more than anything, I adore these characters, they have so much depth and development as they grow to depend on each other, and it's so beautiful to see their love expand through the chapters.
The way that Jiwoo has suffered such a lonely life and turned to cats for comfort, is already hurtful in itself but the addition of traumatized characters like Wooin and characters that were hurt and used by others like Jihyuk and Subin and characters enduring so much pressure like Jiyoung, just makes me love the characterization even more. I especially adore the deep mentor-student relationship between Kayden and Jiwoo because the former has been a loner riddled with trust issues all his life so I'm so glad they could find comfort in each other. (Also how am I supposed to decide between naming my future cat either Kayden of Casian Nitrate...)
I really have never fallen so quickly for a Webtoon and it has rapidly become one of my all time favourites.haha it totally isn't because I'm a major cat lover

I loved it!!!! The battles in the book were so carefully drawn and with so much suspense, I was so frustrated when I finished it and. needed to wait for one week for it to update again.

This is freaking HILARIOUS! I repeat, HIIILAAARIIIOUUS!
I don't believe I ever laughed so much reading a webtoon. I decided to read this one for obvious reasons: CATS... so.. yep, for me was a easy pick, but this is not about cats at all 😏 after 2 episodes I was completely obsessed! And the best part, after sending a few images to my boyfriend, he got obsessed too 🥰

I've read all of Noblesse and was sad when the story concluded. It will soon be adapted into an anime series. So, I was very excited when Jeho Son's Eleceed began in 2019. The blend of humor, action and love of cats keeps me reading this continuing series.

So far so good.
I'm not a cat person and I think the start was a little bit weak. Jinwoo was not my type of MC at the start but I slowly warmed up to him because of his unshakeable views plus loyalty and love for Kayden. And despite saying he's terrible at making friends, he sure is doing a fantastic job of it.
The mentor-mentee relationship is my absolute favorite in this webtoon.
I love Kayden and Jiwoo's relationship and the world-building based on these powers. The fact that you develop your power type/ affinity to the element depending on who you learnt the force control from and not actually hereditary is so unique. Thank heavens he's got the lightning now, thought he will only have the super speed. Kayden's lightning is cool.
I think the trust that I see from the mentors Kayden and Dr. De Lein passing their everything to their apprentice, and that trust being reciprocated by Jiwoo and Wooin even though they are not blood-related, is beautiful.
Also the character development of Jisuk and Sunbi is awesome (probably need to add Dr. De Lein) 💯
At first I want Kayden to revert back to human as soon as possible but Casein Nitrate is too funny 😂, and Kayden is making an appearance here and there so I'm good with him being a fat cat for awhile 👍
I can see traces of Girl the Wild's and Noblesse from the creators here. Even the humor is the same. And I think they just did a hair color swap with Jiyoung and Jiwoo from GW 😆 Then the super OP chara with power restrictions (Rai and Kayden).
Anyways I'm expecting a lot to happen like the Korea ranking and the world ranking in the next chapters. Also, what is it or who that injured/ is after Kayden. I DEFINITELY want to see Jiwoo protecting Kayden this time, so I need him to get even stronger. Pleaseee let this happen 🙏
This has a long loooong way to go. I need atleast 500 chapters.

At the time of this review, there is currently 138 webtoon episodes and the webtoon is still ongoing.
I really liked this and I couldn't help but binge read all the available episodes in one day. Jiwoo, the MC was really endearing and though he faced many challenges, he never lost his optimism and he kept moving forward, and he was kind but never a pushover. Jiwoo was always alone until he found his mentor, Kayden, who then became the catalyst to all the changes in his life - Jiwoo made his first friends and they soon became people he could trust with his life. I absolutely love the found family trope in this; Kayden, Wooin, Jisuk and Subin really cared about Jiwoo, and their friendship grew stronger as they faced more difficulties together. They were all loners before, but now they had each other.
The character development in general was A+, especially for Wooin and Jisuk, because they started out on the wrong foot with Jiwoo and each other, so it was really heartwarming to see them start to treat each other like friends. Jisuk and Subin were so chaotic whenever they got together too, they were like two peas in a pod. The art was great too, and I particularly loved how Kayden's many expressions as a cat was illustrated.
Overall, this was a great read and I wish there was a novel so I could binge read that as well.

There are some books which I find entertaining, some whose worlds I get lost in, some whose sheer writing craft I admire…..
And then there are those where I cannot stop giggling, where I love the characters so much they become a part of me, which when it ends I trawl the internet for other fans and scraps of extra content, which I start reading at 5 and don’t stop till after midnight even when I know I have a ton of work.
This is one of those books.
Now, I know it’s not a masterpiece of writing craft, but it never sought to be that. All it wants to be is a funny, action-packed story about an OP character with superpowers who gets transformed into a fat cat and mentors a living ray of sunshine. And it succeeds I laughed (a LOT) (out loud, not just an appreciative snort), I yelled, and I felt a great deal which is something that immediately elevates any work in my eyes.
Anyways, long diatribe aside, this is a really really fun webcomic about a secret world of awakened people- ie people with superpowers. It uses the clichés of the genre to the best effect, and there are a ton of adorable cats. The art is top-tier, and also its FREE to read so what are you waiting for, really?

Eleceed is a terrific webtoon with a epic fighting scenes and comedy that will cracks u.

Jiwo has been living his whole life distancing himself from others, in order to keeps his ability hidden which leads him to be a cat lover to ease his loneliness. Kayden who lost great amount of his power, transform into a cat to escape a chase and recuperate in Jiwo's House. Jiwo, being an awakened trained his ability with Kayden's guidance to get stronger. At times, he's only alive because he is the main lead. Undeniably, this story is a bit repetitive and there are minor plot holes to keeps the story flowing I guess, with some necessary cliches. However, these does not infringe my enjoyment of the webtoon.

The art is excellent. Details in the background is impeccable. Whether it's the background, characters, expressions, animals, the artists killed it. The colour pallette is pleasant and composition is clear, movement and fight scenes can be easily followed.

It takes time to establish the foundation, hence it starts with a slow pace prob to prepare Jiwo for upcoming fight. However, a lot questions keep me engaged. "Who are after Kayden?" "Jiwo distance himself from everyone, why does he keeps approaching Wooin then?" "Who is Wooin, how and why did he joined the prof" "Is Wooin actually a good guy?" "Did he really betray his professor?" "What kind of parents Jiwo has, where are them, why does he live alone" "His house looks nice, is he rich? " if so - "Why did he only eat bread for dinner?" etc etc..

Imo, the characters are well written, author did a good job in showing the characters personality. Each with their own character developement, unique traits and are relatable as well.
The main lead, Jiwo is the typical mc, kind, sensible, brave, friendly, polite, caring and firm w his principles. It didn't take long for him to grow on me. He really reminds me of Hinata from Haikyuu because of his excitement(easily impressed), grand speeches, overthinking habits and unwavering spirit - doesn't bows to any challenges. Except he is more matured and cunning.
I prefer Kayden's pov since he's entertaining with his tsundere narcissist traits. Def one of my favourite character. His oscacional insecurity create an in depth for his character.
- I look forward to furthur characters developement and possible new characters.
P/s-even the cats kind of has their own identity.
A recommend read if you like action super power comedy webtoon. Layered with friendship and mentor-mentee genre with wholesome interaction, and a bit sprinkle of romance.

This webtoon is still ongoing but I highly recommend it. The only bad thing about it is that I am caught up now and have to wait a week for every new chapter to come out :')...
Eleceed is part wholesome and funny character interactions, part superpowered action story, and part CATS (but seriously, the illustrator Zhena is very good at drawing cats and cat behaviour). This mix works incredibly well for me. It is hilarious (I have definitely laughed out loud many times reading it), but also has a lot of heart and sometimes its more serious moments too.
Very interested to see where it goes from here!

Although the series is not finished yet, I have re-read the whole thing 3 times and my favorite parts more times then I can count! This is the BEST webtoon I have ever read!! It is funny, has great character development without the characters loosing their original charm. It is packed full of action with amazing battles that leave you on the edge of your seat. Sometimes the main character wins and sometimes he looses, but every time he grows from it! The supporting characters have me laughing until I cannot breathe anymore and their friendship is beautiful. I hope that someday they print this story so I can add it to my favorite bookshelf!

I am not done with this, because it is not finish, the serie is still ongoing.
But i am loving this so much, i read the whole webtoon in a weekend. I love all the charater and the storyline is different and very special from anything i read, it took me buy surprise. I love the art, it so becautiful. I love how it friendship in this, and how the charather so far has elvove, i enjoy the humor in it, and the fight scene. It for me was a very fun and easy read, filled with action, and fantasy, just what i needed.

Webtoons really does just have a ton of top-notch comics. This might've been my favorite yet because of how funny it is. I'm caught up to 93 chapters because try as I might, I just can't make it last - all I want to do is read.
The story is fun, the characters are varied and well-fleshed out. I know these are veteran authors and it shows.
Man...I just want to keep reading.

It is one of the best superpower stories ever besides the gone series and worm. The story is phenomenal, the characters are interesting and unique, the fighting is cool and shows off a bunch of different powers. The artwork is detailed but in a simplistic way. I would recommend this to anyone who loves superpowers or a story with great characters.

This is absolutely the best WEBTOON out there. I have re-read it several times.
Unlike most WEBTOONs, Eleceed is absolutely no romance. However, there are many strong and supportive friendships. Each character is unique, but still lovable. I wish I could read Korean to get ahead.

the description alone intrigued me, but this story is next level hilarious - genuine laugh out loud stomach laughs - with phenomenal character growth. my love for this story knows no bounds, I simply can not wait to see where this story goes. hands down, my favourite Webtoon.
