Pack End Game

My scent-matches were supposed to be people.

Instead, I fell in love with a coat.

After a year of cuddling a stolen coat with no way of finding its rightful owner, I can't help but question everything I thought I knew about finding a pack of my own.

I've always been the charmer, the fun friend, the woman ready to conquer anything. Being an omega has never made me feel weak, and I never shy away from a challenge. In fact, I've always conquered every single challenge in my path.

Unfortunately, fate has a sense of humor.

A last-minute favor at the local football stadium, and a mascot chase that leads to a viral video, bring me face-to-face with my future.

Spencer, the head of the pack, leads with a tightly wound sense of control, but he's willing to be flexible when it comes to making me happy. Doting Zak is the kind of alpha who can teach me how to change a flat tire one minute, and then bring me to the peak of pleasure the next. And there's Freddie, the larger-than-life beta who lives his alter-ego as a sloth and keeps everyone on their toes.

The three of them have been living their own happily ever after for years, and they insist I'm the missing piece they're ready to slide right into place.

They say they want to claim me. Mark me. Keep me.

And I want to let them...

As long as the four of us can survive a chaotic house hunt right in the middle of football season.

Pack End Game is a new omegaverse standalone by Drea Denae and Cassie James. This is a why-choose story where the men are just as connected to each other as they are to the main female character.

I loved this book! It was awkward and funny and cute. And I have never laughed so hard as I did with the house hunting scenes. I loved that there was issues that seemed reasonable even if they seemed exaggerated. I love how the pack was with each other. I highly recommend if you are looking for something to make you laugh.

Mia is a successful Omega who has never believed she needed a pack, but when she comes across her scent match in the form of a coat, she knows different. Unfortunately, she exhausts all avenues and can't find the Alpha who belongs with her coat until the day she shows up at a football game in her pajamas to do her twin brother a favor. Not only does she scent her Alpha, but she's caught on camera in front of the entire city chasing after the team mascot. It's definitely a memorable first meet that leads to the beginning of one beautifully chaotic pack.

I couldn't figure out the writing style of this book; at times, it was a mishmash of sorts until I saw it was a collaboration. Then it made sense. I can imagine the conversation that took place when the premise was being discussed and the characters created. It was close, but I think it could have used a bit more polish. They were on the right path, but it wasn't quite developed. I loved their meet-cute. It was such a catastrophe. Actually, I loved the pre-meet cute when Mia found her scent mate in clothing and ran off with it, turning it into emotional support outerwear. This is such a promising start. Then it lost a little momentum with her reaction to the pack house, although the house hunt was funny. Mia's reaction felt a little mean to me, but it was no big deal in the overall scheme. I would have liked Mia's twin to be more involved in the story. His role started out key, and then he basically disappeared. The same could be said for her friends. Her 'world' felt incomplete to me. However, my biggest issue was with Freddie. I know others will love him, but I did not. I found him too much. To me, his character was more unhinged than funny. This probably has to do with my working in a BH Center! I would have preferred to spend more time with Spencer and Zak. But if you’re looking for a very low angst read, this is a good option for you. There were plenty of laughs, and I find that to be an underrated quality in so many romances. Rom-coms are popular for a reason; books should remember to add humor.

I will start out by saying that I was given an ARC copy to read and am giving my own opinion.
This book is amazing! When I wasn’t laughing my butt off at something in the story (usually Freddie’s antics), I was awwwing over how the pack treat each other! In case you did not pick up on it, it is an omegaverse story revolving around Mia (the FMC who is an omega), Freddie (the beta MMC), Zak (one of the alpha MMCs), and Spencer (the other alpha MMC). I would definitely say that Pack End Game is more of a sport romcom rather than a typical sports romance, but it does not detract from the story in any way.
In my opinion, Freddie stole the whole show! He was my absolute favorite character and I loved watching his antics play out in the story! Freddie reminds me of Martin Short’s character in Only Murders in the Building and I mean that as a compliment. Freddie absolutely has ADHD, has no filter or boundaries whatsoever (he confesses that he listens in to one of the other pack members weekly therapy sessions), and has the impulse control of a toddler, but I love him! Zak and Spencer (particularly Spencer as he’s the head of the pack) are more reserved, quiet, and strait laced which creates the perfect contrast to the natural chaos that is Freddie. Mia comes in and helps balance it out even further, as she is a bit chaotic, but she is more controlled chaos; Freddie is the F5 tornado that just rolled through Oklahoma a minute ago and is still going.
I absolutely loved this story and would definitely recommend it, especially if you love sports romances, romcoms, omegaverse stories, and human tornadoes!
Thank you so much to Drea Denae, Cassie James, and their team for letting me read the book! I really enjoyed it and appreciate the opportunity!

The plot kicks off with a viral stadium chase after Freddie (the team’s chaotic Beta mascot) steals Mia’s camera to lure her into the tunnels to meet his scent-matched pack: Alphas Spencer and Zak. But the real heart of the book follows what happens next. Mia is a bubbly, resilient soul who has spent a year pining over a scent on a stolen coat, and now she’s the final missing piece for these three men who have been an established, loving unit for years. The story focuses on their hilarious journey to find a new home during football season, navigating their new four-person dynamic while trying to find a "nest" that finally feels like home for their Omega.

This book is a delightfully refreshing and engaging read! It features a fantastic rom-com vibe with a fast pace that is just so much fun. The comedic timing is a major standout; I loved the chaotic house hunt subplot, especially Mia's antic with the "murder house"! While the scent-matched connection happens very quickly, it was great to see the Alphas so determined to wait until they found the perfect environment before officially bonding her.The characters are a wonderful mix. Spencer is the serious Alpha anchor who is only soft for Mia, and Zak is the doting "Daddy" protector who provides the emotional warmth. Then there’s Freddie, the chaotic Beta heartbeat who has absolutely no filter and keeps everyone on their toes! Mia is such a lovely, genuine character. I had a wonderful giggle at the scene where she hid in the toilet to revise football facts so the team wouldn't judge her, only to admit later that she didn't have a clue what she was talking about! She has just as much banter as Freddie, and I loved it.

Overall, Pack End Game delivers a fun and fast-paced story with a unique contemporary setting. I loved that the three men were an established, loving unit who saw Mia as their final missing piece rather than an outsider. The chemistry is strong, the banter is sharp, and the found-family themes are heartwarming. This is a wonderful, easy-to-read rom-com that I highly recommend for a "smutty good time" with plenty of laughs!

I cannot contain my level of excitement to be back in this world with these characters!
I was counting down to read our previous FMCs bestie's side of the story...cause ya know we were all left hanging a bit with what happened after that catastrophic meeting at the bar.
And boy oh boy was I thrown for a loop for what came next!
The way these authors spun this story...it all started with a stolen coat.
I absolutely loved it!
This FMC, I mean she's a totally sweetheart...who else would drop everything for her twin like she did? It also changes the trajectory of her entire existence.
Add in some complete chaos... two very gorgeous pro-football Alphas, and a very quirky beta Sloth mascot.....and you have a very kismet first encounter.
These characters were so entertaining to read.
They had me literally laughing out loud at Freddie and his antics and their house hunting that turns into a whole other escapade.
Add in some super sweet moments that had me swooning.
And some very HAWT team work that had me fanning myself!
This was such a great follow up to the previous book in the series!(you could still read this one as a standalone, if you didn't want to go back a read the previous!)
If you love why choose omegaverse with some gorgeous football player alphas and their quirky beta mascot who thinks his Sloth costume is a part of his identity...and a feisty omega who keeps them all on their toes then this is a must read!

If you’re looking for something very low-angst, this is a great option! I laughed a lot throughout this book and would classify it as a sports romcom. Just be prepared for absolute ridiculousness! Freddie especially is fully ridiculous and always up to something. I like that things are simple for him and nothing has to be complicated. He brings a lot of lightheartedness and definitely fits his role as the team’s mascot. Spencer and Zack are so similar I honestly feel like they could have been one person probably and I would have preferred if their characters were a bit more distinct. They’re both dominant and serious types. Spencer is the pack lead so he’s slightly more dominant and Zak is more of a caregiver type but I wish that was leaned into a bit more because the foundation is there, but I wanted to see more of that to better differentiate him from Spencer’s personality. Mia is chaos as well, and is slightly less ridiculous in her antics than Freddie but they both balance Spencer and Zak well. I love the bond she has with her twin brother. I also love her job and that it’s very niche. Overall, it was one of those reads that’s a great buffer between other reads, especially if you want something fun and light.

I did read an ARC of this but it did not bias my honest review.

I devoured this book in less than 24 hours! I absolutely loved it from start to finish. Who doesn't want to live in a pack that smells like a tropical vacation?

The characters are in this story are amazing. I loved that Mia whole-heartedly trusted in fate and knew that it would bring her to her scent matches, but she probably would have preferred it if she weren't in her pajamas. Spencer is the pack alpha, the more serious of the two who works hard to the pack is balanced and that everyone is happy and taken care of, he is the calm of the pack. Zak, the second alpha is the Daddy of the pack, in more ways than one. Not only does he make sure that everyone is taken care of, but he is also a pleasure dom that enjoys being called Daddy. Finally, the beta of the group is Freddie, fun-loving, funny Freddie, he doesn't take anything to seriously and is helpful at keeping his alphas loose and reminding them to enjoy themselves. These four were great and I loved seeing how they come together as a pack and work towards finding their forever home.
Full of chaos and adventure.

I received this book and am leaving a review voluntarily.

Mia + Zak + Freddie + Spencer

Pack End Game follows the story of Mia thinking she found her scent match early on. Honestly, if you haven't read Pack Down Bad, do that before diving into this because it will make more sense. You can 100% get away without reading it BUT I recommend reading it because it gives a different context to Mia leaving the restaurant.

Pack End Game is structured differently than PDB, Mia meets her scent matches pretty much all at the same time. & it's a lot. They are figuring out how they are going to function as a pack with a beta already present. But Freddie is amazing and I really enjoyed his character because he roots for Mia as well as ensures the pack has what it needs when Mia goes into her heats.

Spencer & Zak complete the pack in different ways. & each provide her with something different. I loved how complete they were after she joined them.

What a great low angst, spicy, sports romcom with an emphasis on the com! This book was a super sweet cozy read with a perfect amount of spice!

I love the way there is a pack member for everyone! If you are looking for a golden retriever with a wild personality who will always keep you laughing then Freddie is your Beta. If you want a strong caring daddy alpha that takes his title seriously then Zak is the alpha for you. If you want a dominant in every way caring to a fault captain and pack leader then Spencer is your dream alpha! At some point Mia says that her fate meeting couldn’t have been more perfect and that’s my consensus for the whole story.

If you are looking for a sweet and spicy story about an adorably perfect pack then this is the story for you!

This book had me giggling the entire way through.
Mia goes from 0 to 100, meeting her entire pack all at once. From that moment on it was non stop laughs.
Freddie was such a treasure. Every pack needs a Beta like him.

Cute

It's cute, silly, and sweet. Is it nuanced or emotionally intelligent? Not especially, but I did enjoy it. Really, it's more a 4*, but ... I knew it was too short to be a true 5* when I downloaded it. So, it's great for a short, quick, cozy read.

Cozy spicy football omegaverse

I really enjoyed that when they all met, there were obstacles. It’s a nice change from the scent matches mean everything is perfect right away trope.

I recieved an ARC for this book and I'm beyond happy to have to have read it.

This book had me cackling throughout. The puns are spot on and give this the charm it needs. The dynamic and balance the characters bring, is heartfelt and amusing. Spencer, the calm of the storm always keeping things handled. Zac, the caring Daddy of the pack(in more ways then one) and Freddie, the one with no boundaries. Loving and makes sure to keep everyone in good spirit

This is a quick, light-hearted read with mature content. It is a standalone but I would say interconnected standalone because the FMC is best friends with the FMC from "Pack Down Bad". It has everything!!
