I had the pleasure of receiving this as an e-ARC and voluntarily will be giving my honest review. If you love a spicy paranormal romance you will love this one! The character building was phenomenal and the chemistry between them was hot 🥵! The spice was spicing so much i think i was blushing and check to see of my husband was watching me phew 😮‍💨!! The banter was on point and absolutely love Lorna Grimms writing!

My first read by Lorna Grimm and it was so much fun! Paranormal is one of my favorite genres, and this world with the Reapers Guild and Unseelie court was so unique.
Ryan is definitely not your typical necromancer—I loved her sweet, compassionate side mixed with how dominant she is in the bedroom. And Seth? Add him to the Shadow Daddy list immediately. He has all the classic shadow daddy energy but with this awkward, sweet vulnerability that completely got me.
Fast paced,binge-worthy, and max spice.

Such an entertaining 5⭐️ read!! The fine print (Pg 3)* by itself is worth its very own⭐️

*”This author firmly believes that gen AI has NO place in creative spaces. May anyone who knowingly uses it in such a capacity have a pillow that is hot in both sides, always be able to feel the seam on their socks, and never find a penny heads up.” ✊😏

This read is a standalone, but it ::technically:: comes after “Haunt My Halls.” Clearly, the material in Reap For Romance, centers around a MODERN-day paranormal romance story. So, the world in which everything takes place is (at a glance) really, fairly “normal.” However, the story’s setting dives in and reveals one where humankind and the paranormal (including Cryptids!) coexist. And sure, everyone is ::technically:: “coexisting,” but we quickly learn that different species of beings have the ability to alter their outward appearance (or, at least, how select individuals see them)

Considering the consistently (HIGH) steamy/spicy-factor(😏🤭), I think it’s important to give prospective readers a head’s up concerning 2 things:
1. Be prepared to laugh. HARD. However, -and maybe this is just my own personal experience/insecurity /fragility coming through- I felt a momentary rush of “emotional whiplash” after simply reading the dedication 😵‍💫 (pg 4)!! Author Lorna Grimm grants us access to characters and a story that are different and complex enough to find intriguing and exciting, but inevitably there are aspects of relatability (for instance - “masking”/avoiding through humor…um, yeah. 🖐️Guilty 🙃) that reached somewhere within myself, but also only seemed to positively influence my attitude towards this book 👍👍
2. 🚨Be advised that Lorna Grimm’s hilariously bold (and 🥵)chapter titles (I can’t even quote them without getting 🚩’d) absolutely have the capability to cause wandering
(nosy) eyes👀 to linger…🫣🤭**

Tarynn Nox “Ryn” is a necromancer who wants to use her powers for good. For ten years she has been working on a project with a partner to save lives through a combination of science and necromancy. The Unseelie prince and her estranged sister threatens to unravel all their progress. Ryn happens to meet a sexy, lovable grim reaper named Seth who is willing to assist. They have an immediate attraction and agree to trade favors. Drama ensues and before they know it they become lovers to soul-bonded.

This was my first novel by Lorna Grimm and I absolutely adored her writing and characters. Seth is my favorite and I just want him to have all the good things. He is a sweet golden retriever that is especially good at reaping but not at being grim. He is awkward and likes to make jokes to ease tension to Ryn‘s dismay. Also, he’s a shadow daddy. They definitely balance each other out because Ryn is a black cat baddie. She is sex positive, assertive, and will fight for what she wants. Ryn also refuses to let Seth take the fall or solve her issues. Ryn is a total bada$$.

The chemistry between the MCs was smoking hot and super SPICY! 🌶️ 🥵 It was instalust but I was here for it! Ryn and Seth’s relationship develops from sexual to a meaningful one. They practiced a lot to get there. 🤭

This was such a refreshing take on an erotic paranormal romcom. I need to read more books by Lorna Grimm. Thank you Lorna and Rattle the Stars PR for this arc. This is my honest review.

Reap for Romance was a fun blend of paranormal romance, humor, and magic with plenty of heat. If you’re looking for a shadow daddy, witty banter, magical chaos, and open door spice, this one definitely delivers.

Seth quickly stole the show for me. He’s mysterious, protective, and cloaked in shadows without losing his sense of humor. The chemistry between him and Ryn was immediate, and their back and forth kept me smiling as their relationship developed.

I also enjoyed the unique magical world. Necromancy, alchemy, reapers, and the Unseelie all came together to create an entertaining paranormal setting that felt different from the usual fantasy romance.

The romance and spice are front and center, so readers who enjoy steamy paranormal romance will have a great time. While I would have liked a little more action and a deeper exploration of the worldbuilding, the engaging characters and magical elements kept me turning the pages.

Overall, this was an enjoyable, spicy paranormal romance with memorable characters, a lovable shadow daddy, and enough magic to keep me invested. If paranormal romance with humor, supernatural intrigue, and plenty of spice is your thing, I’d recommend giving this one a try. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Brilliantly balances the dark aspects of the plot with a genuine sense of humor! Seth is wonderfully chaotic, you never know what he will say next; he is a bit too lighthearted for his job description. Ryn is bold—very bold—in ways that make Seth blushy and flustered. She is also very intelligent, and even though she is from a dark background with the Unseelie, she is a good person who wants to use her necromancy abilities to help people. Their opposites attract dynamic is fantastic and very spicy, very quickly!

The plot with the Unseelie drama keeps the story going at a fast pace. I loved how well Ryn and Seth worked together and never lost their intense chemistry. They both are trying to do their best: Seth with his reaper job and Ryn with her passion project. Seth is the sweetest, and watching him go head over heels for Ryn and slowly breaking down all her emotional walls was so much fun.

The author has created an interesting and entertaining world filled with characters you want to know more about. A great series if you are looking for a great rom-com with a supernatural twist and a little bit of darkness while also having a lot of heart. (Definitely read the trigger warnings) Can't wait to read more from Kismet Falls.

Looking for your next spicy paranormal romance? Look no further!

This was my first time reading Lorna Grimm, and it absolutely won’t be my last! The way she was able to build these characters and describe them in such perfect detail was absolutely incredible. Her writing felt so effortless and I was able to instantly connect with both the characters and the story. It’s hard to put into words just how much I fell in love with her writing style. The way she was able to portray characters, depict actions, and detail scenarios without using repetitive vocabulary, is a rare ability. I was truly in awe of her writing!

And those spicy scenes?!!! My goodness, I bow down to you … I dub you the Queen of the Spicy Scene! Those scenes made me blush, but in the best way possible because I could not tear myself away from those pages!

My only tiny hiccup, and the reason I settled on 4.5 stars, is that the story became a bit confusing at times. I’m still not entirely sure what a soul stone is or what it does? Even so, that didn’t stop me from thoroughly enjoying the storyline or Ryn and Seth’s love story.

Whether you are a paranormal romance connoisseur or thinking about picking up your very first one, you won’t be disappointed in choosing Reap for Romance!

Reap for Romance is the second book in the Kismet Falls series. While technically this is a standalone, as it centers on a different couple than book 1, I'd recommend to read the series in order to better appreciate the plot, as the two overlap a bit.

I really enjoyed this story. There's plenty of spice, an intriguing plot that keeps things interesting, and a couple of twists here and there that I didn't see coming and made me like the story that much more.

On the surface, this might look like a silly little smutty romance. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of spice, with a shadow daddy Reaper with special.. *equipment*... But there's also a strong found family subplot, with characters looking for that kind of complete and utter acceptance that will change your life forever. It's a layered story, and while there's little angst, and the Insta-love and Insta-Lust play a central role in the romance development, this story gives you that bit more to make it special.

Overall, I'd say this is a nice, low stakes story, with a lot of heat, but enough plot to make it something more than paranormal erotica. If you are looking for a series that requires little investment and gives you plenty in return, give this a try.

This one was a quick, fun, smutty paranormal romance. It is book 2 in an interconnected series. While book 1 isn't required to read this, I definitely think that it helps! It gives you the background for the side characters as well as information that is relevant for what has been happening recently.

We follow Ryn, a necromancer using her powers for good, and Seth, a reaper who is an absolute sweetheart that you will love. The both need each other for personal reason and meetup at a coffee shop to help each other out. And its fast attraction from the first meeting!

Ryn and Seth get together pretty quickly during this book after they meet. I do wish that there was a just a little more plot to go with my smut but I can't complain too much with smut like what was in this book.

If you're looking for a quick, fun, smutty paranormal romance, it's one that I recommend that you check out!

I had a good time! and i got exactly what I was hoping for …. a paranormal romance with plenty of humor, chemistry, & just the right amount of chaos. Seth!!!!. He’s broody, swoony, & surprisingly sweet beneath all that grim reaper energy. He is packinnnnnn. I also loved Ryn!

The banter between them was one of my favorite parts & I loved how the romance blended with the paranormal elements. The spice definitely delivered. I love good spice but i did need more for the world build. I know theres a first book so maybe if i read that it wouldve been a bit more helpful. There were a few genuinely LOL moments sprinkled throughout that kept the pacing light

The only reason this wasn’t a full five stars for me was that I found parts of the plot a little predictable and I wanted a bit more emotional depth in a few moments. I connected with the romance, but I was hoping to dig just a little deeper. Some parts i was left confused but that may just be me.

Anywhoooo, if you’re looking for a SPICYYYYY paranormal romance with a lovable grim reaper, witty dialogue, supernatural shenanigans, & an easy, bingeable reading experience, i def recommend picking this one up. It was a really enjoyable escape and diff from my usual.

We are back to Kismet Falls with Seth’s story the loveable reaper from Haunt my Halls.

He meets Ryn a necromancer who needs his help with a project she’s working on. They have something in common that they both deal with the death in some form. She finds Seth sinfully attractive even when she can see through his glamour.

Seth can’t help but flirt with her, finds her attractive and can’t get her out of his head since he first met her. He would break the rules to help her and keep her safe especially when her project has attracted the attention of the Unseelie Prince and her sister.

As the story goes on, the magnetic chemistry and lust builds between them, Ryn feels seen and safe by him, she finds him adorable and for Seth she has gotten into his heart ❤️

I think this is definitely a favourite of mine in the series,it was such a cute, cosy, smutty read with a lot of heart 💓 and banter. I love that there’s more of the paranormal world and of dark and ancient magic, the relationship building between Seth and Ryn throughout the story, the longing and belonging and those shadows 🔥🔥 it was really an enjoyable read.

Reap for Romance was such a fun surprise and gave me exactly what I wanted from a paranormal romance. From the first few chapters I was completely pulled into Ryn and Seth's story. Ryn is strong, intelligent, and determined to use her necromancy for good despite everything she's been through, while Seth completely won me over with his chaotic, sweet, and surprisingly soft personality beneath all the grim reaper vibes. Their chemistry is instant, their banter had me laughing more than once, and the spice definitely lived up to the hype. I loved watching Seth slowly break down the walls Ryn had built around herself, and together they balanced each other in such a beautiful way. The supernatural world, the Unseelie drama, and all the magical chaos kept the story moving, even if I found myself wishing for a little more world-building and emotional depth in a few places. Still, this was such an addictive, entertaining read that blended humour, romance, and paranormal magic so effortlessly, and by the end I was already wanting to spend more time in this world.

Reap for Romance is a fun book.

I know, you hear Reaper x Necromancer romance, and everything seems like it's going to be dark and mysterious. But from the opening exchange on the message board, this book had me smiling and laughing. I will never think about yellow rain boots the same way again.

Seth is the most unserious shadow daddy (his self-chosen designation), but in all the best ways. He's a giant goof who leads with his heart. You can see it in the way he cares for his friends and the way he falls hard for Ryn.

Ryn is a necromancer from the unseelie court who cut ties with her family and the court's BS. All she wants is to do good and potentially climb a psychomp.

The banter between these two is top-notch, and the spice is whew. Shadow shibari + knotting + absolute moments of tenderness? Perfection.

Reap for Romance is part of an interconnected series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone.

Lorna Grimm has done it again! Another five-star read, and I absolutely need more Seth in my life. His sass is unmatched, and now I'm desperately hoping Oliver gets his own book because I am not ready to say goodbye to these characters.
This interconnected standalone picks up after Haunt My Halls, weaving in just enough flashbacks to set the stage for Seth's story with Ryn. What starts as a simple coffee date in exchange for a favor quickly turns into family drama, life-or-death situations, deception, sarcastic repartee, and, of course... a heavy supply of SPICE. • (Who doesn't love a fancy peen?! IYKYK & With tension rising and the stakes getting bigger, Seth has to balance staying in good standing with his job, staying out of trouble (oops.. but it wasn't his fault), and helping his new necromancer girlfriend navigate dangers of her own. Meanwhile, Ryn will stop at nothing to fulfill her lifelong dream of using her magic for good, despite the weight of a toxic childhood and a complicated family history from growing up in the Unseelle Court.

First I want to thank the author Lorna Grimm and Rattle the Stars PR for the opportunity to read and review and advance copy of this book. I’ve read a handful of paranormal romances, but this is the first one with a main male character that is a reaper. I thought the main meet-cute/set-up of the two characters was funny and a good start. I liked how there was a lot of humor in this book, and that it doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously. I had not previously read Haunt My Halls (the first book in this series of interconnected stand-alones), so I’m not sure if that would have been helpful to me in world building. Ryn and Seth seem to get together pretty quickly. It’s not quite insta-love, but close to it. If you’re looking for a fast, fun and unusual read that has a good bit of spice to it, and if you’re familiar with paranormal and monster romance, this may be a good choice for you for a quirky and quick beach read.

If I could describe how this book makes me feel in one word, I'd say.....

OBSESSED

BUT.. seeing how this is a review, I need more than one word so here are more! This book was everything. I instantly fell in love with Ryan and Seth in the first few chapters. It was a great escape into a fantasy, dark goth, spice world where Seth and Ryan become absolutely feral for each other. The funny banter Seth brings to the table ❤️

A Grim Reaper with a heart of gold falling for a badass necromancer?? Yeah... I was sold. 😂🖤
I freaking LOVE the paranormal world of this series, and getting Seth's story after meeting him in Haunt My Halls made this one even better. We got a little taste of him before, but actually getting inside his head and seeing what a Grim Reaper with an absolutely massive heart is like?? You can't help but fall in love with him. I adore Seth. 😂
And the romance between a Grim Reaper and a necromancer is exactly as chaotic, hilarious, and HOT as you would expect. Their dynamic is so much fun, and the black cat × golden retriever energy between them works ridiculously well.
But I also really loved her as a character. She's smart, badass, powerful, and has fought so hard not to let her family's actions define who she is. Instead, she's determined to use her own powers and abilities to actually do some good—and I loved watching Seth see and appreciate her for exactly who she is.
This was paranormal, spicy, funny, and just the right amount of weird—which honestly feels like the perfect combination for a Grim Reaper × necromancer romance. 😂🖤
Also... shadow shibari with a Grim Reaper? Lorna, you have my attention. 👀

Overall, this was a fun, flirty palate cleanser that combines humor, romance, and plenty of heat.

Lorna Grimm's writing style is so consumable. Once I started reading I flew through this book. Also, the chapter titles are fantastic.

I really enjoyed the first meeting between the two main characters. There was so much humor in it, but it also showcased the awarkedness of a first time meeting.

The two main characters have insane chemistry, but there is also a lot of emotion and connection between them.

I really enjoyed the plot in this book. Even though this book was mostly lighthearted, there were stakes to the plot that kept me turning the page wanting to know what happens next.

This is super spciy too. So if you're looking for a fast paced, spicy paranormal romance... look no further.

This was a really cute supernatural romance. It was short but it fit a pretty fun story in those pages. I liked the unique spin on necromancers. It has a full, flushed out plot and a little sibling rivalry.

Our MFC is not-so-secretly into a psychopomp who she has asked to help her with permits for her upcoming project. Our MMC is a little oblivious to how much she really wants him... At first... He is able to do more than help her with paperwork. 😉

If you like family drama, supernaturals, meet-cutes, ride or die, good boy, touch her and 💀, bonded pairings, and knotting, this is a good one for all of those!

This is a really spicy book! It also comes with triggers. I'd recommend checking those before reading.

I thought this was a good book. The story is a paranormal romance about a necromancer named Ryn who is trying to create a medical procedure that combines science and magic to save lives. When she hits some administrative snags, she teams up with a reaper named Seth to help get things approved, which leads into a relationship between them.

I liked the dynamic between the two main characters. Ryn is direct and sharp, while Seth is much sweeter and more lighthearted than you would expect for a reaper, which made their interactions fun to read. The story balances the romance and the high amount of spice well with an actual plot involving missing magical items and Unseelie court drama. It is a fast-paced, entertaining paranormal rom-com, and I recommend giving it a try.

Grimm has such a talent for creating characters that feel real, you get attached to them so quickly, and by the end I was completely invested in every single one.

I’m obsessed with paranormal romance and Lorna Grimm DELIVERED.

I fell in love with Seth (the grim reaper in Haunt My Halls) and couldn’t wait to continue his story with Ryn (a necromancer).

Seth is HILARIOUS. I laughed out loud for so much of this book.

Lorna Grimm once again manages to take monster smut and make me feel emotionally attached.

Seth, the reaper with a nerdy heart of gold, makes you feel cozy and turned on at the same time. No doubt why necromancer Ryn can't help herself. Their immediate chemistry, emotional and physical connection, entangles you.

It's the witty writing and characters that draw you in. The mind blowing spice is the enormous, ribbed for her pleasure, cherry on top. Ever wanted to imagine a pixie sex rave? Shadow shibari? Lorna can take you there and beyond.

I could have read this in one sitting if my house was quieter 😂 Whhaaat?!?! Seth needed my whole attention...I mean the story line duh! But seriously I love Seth's kind of Jake from Brooklyn99 vibes. Ryn is a bad ass necromancer who teams up with Seth, a psychopomp, for some hush hush permits she needs quickly and Seth needs her help in freeing his half-witch-spell-bound-dead-best-friend, you know....first book shenanigans. But also Ryn wants a date because she's never met a psychopomp that's ugly.....so is he.....ugly???😂😂😂

Perfect escapism for an afternoon! Fun and fast paced plot in this very spicy paranormal romance. I did struggle to connect with the characters to begin but they grew on me throughout the story. I haven’t read Book1 which is an interconnected standalone so this may be good to check out first! Seth’s unwavering dedication to Ryn and his friends was delightful to read. Lots of humour and immersive in it’s world building with lots of different species of characters

I want to thank Rattle the Stars PR and Lorna Grimm for the opportunity to ARC read this book before the official release date!

I enjoyed this book! I personally liked the first book (Haunt my Halls) better, but this was still a cute story.

Reap for Romance was a very fast paced, close to insta-love between a reaper and necromancer. I get that it was trying to be fast paced but it was a little too fast for me. They got together super fast and the spicy scenes felt a bit forced. I still liked them, but maybe would have been better for me if dialed back a bit.

I also could have gone for a bit more world building. There was some attempt at world building but it wasn’t very cohesive in my opinion. The plot that was there did not make much sense to me. And that’s ok if you are going for more spice than plot! (I certainly do at times).

I did like the overall vibes of the book. The grim reaper x necromancer aspect was a fun and unique take on the paranormal romance genre.

I would recommend reading this if you are looking for a super quick, spicy, paranormal romance! 🖤

Another fun, steamy read from Lorna Grimm! I flew through this book.

This couple does not waste any time getting freaky. From the very first message they are flirty and oh so hot.

I adore Seth; he is an absolute sweetie, but he’s also so protective and perfect. A top-tier book boyfriend.

The plot itself is somewhat high-stakes, and it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. The spice is out of this world, but also, the relationship is so sweet and adorable.

I highly recommend this book if you're looking for something quick, fun, and steamy! Also check out Haunt my Halls!

I love Seth!! He was a great side character in Haunt me Halls & I loved getting his story.

Ryn was a refreshing black cat FMC. I like that her black cat persona did not get in the way at all of her finding her happiness. I do love, however, how it affected things towards her sister cuz same sis! 🤷🏻‍♀️

This book was a little spicier than I normally read, but as with Haunt My Halls, you can skip the spice chapter without losing the story!
