This book is a story of hope for blackjack players because it explains in very clear detail how to play what most consider a simple game. Of course, once you start reading, you'll find that the game of blackjack is only easy if you just want to goof-off. If you want more, keep reading.

Eventually, Johnson explains the mathematics behind "Basic Strategy," and how to play nearly even with the casino, all the while telling a true story of his rise to fortune (no fame in this book) while beating the casinos at their own game. A great read.

Good solid book on blackjack. The author is a low-to-medium limit player who has great stories about his own learing process and teaches readers how to play the game from the very basics to more complicated card-counting systems.
