When our parents married, Carter and I clung to each other. He was my hero, my protector, my forbidden crush, my step. When he was scouted by a big agency and left our small town, my heart was broken. To see him again would be a miracle, and yet...has a miracle fallen into my hands?
What if my essay isn't chosen, and I lose the contest? Will I ever see the love of my life, my craving, again?
But... what will we do if I win?

This is a short taboo romance. Heather has a rough, tough life. She loves and misses her step brother, Carter. She doesn't understand how he could leave her. Carter has moved to New York to become a famous model. Heather discovers that there is a contest to win a date with Carter. She enters it with hopes of see him again. Heather wants to tells Carter that she loves him, not like a sibling but as a woman. She wins the contest and excited to see Carter again. He is excited that it is Heather won as well. Carter tells Heather that he loves her also. They decide to be together. I enjoyed this sweet read.
Rushed story but with only 28 pages how could it be anything more. Really no story at all. No real back story just a few things thrown together. HEA w/ of course a cliffhanger. Book #1 is free . Book #2 is 31 pages at .99. I'm just leery of how many more 30 page cliffhangers follow at .99 with no real substance to them.
In all fairness to this author I have read other books of hers and have liked them.
