Return to the charming small town of Virtue, New York with the sweet, funny Bun in a Million, a standalone romantic comedy with a guaranteed HEA that’s sure to hop straight into reader hearts!
Zoe Chant loves writing paranormal romance. Over a cup of tea (or something stronger) she whips up sexy tales of hunky heroes and adventurous heroines to tantalize and satisfy her readers. Sizzling hot romance, no cliffhangers!
While series should ideally be read in order, all of Zoe’s books are standalones and can be read in any order. This includes books within series.
(i got a copy via the author's Patreon). read this, if only to see exactly *how* dramatic the EXTREMELY DRAMATIC rabbit gets. :D

I loved, loved, loved this fake relationship shifter romance. This low angst story had the perfect balance of swoon, humor, love, real life issues, and spice. Reading this romance made me so happy and I smiled through the entire book. It felt like a warm hug full of love. Luke is a Welsh rabbit shifter and a personal trainer who lives in the shifter friendly town of Virtue. Sabrina is an architect and a human. She is in Virtue to design the new train station. When Sabrina needs a fake boyfriend for her friend’s Vegas destination wedding, her Virtue friend, Emmy, volunteers her brother. As soon as Luke sees Sabrina he knows she’s his mate so pretending to be her fake boyfriend might be an easy way to start dating for real before he springs truth about shifters on her. The attraction and chemistry is there between them from the beginning despite the “fake” part of the relationship which makes it hard to keep pretending it’s fake. I especially loved the drama of Luke’s bunny inner dialogue. It was hilarious. This heartwarming and funny story was well written and included engaging dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and a captivating storyline. I love this series and this quirky town. 4.5 stars.
The guy is a fitness influencer. The girl is a petite blonde architect, and she needs a date to a wedding. These are both hot, successful people. One just happens to be able to turn into a rabbit. The only way that's part of the story is he needs to confess.
The wedding is a cute way for them to get to know each other. The story is very low angst - just the usual "how do I make this fake relationship real". There is a fire in the train station, just to spice things up a little and involve Noah. Nobody gets hurt, and the characters aren't involved in stopping or investigating it.
Bun in a Million (Virtue Shifters) by Zoe Chant, Murphy Lawless. Architect Sabrina’s design has been chosen for Virtues new train station and is in Virtue to oversee the build. She has 4 girlfriends from college who are all either married or in a relationship except Sabrina. One of the friends are getting married and she’s told them she has a boyfriend. Emmy, her friend in Virtue has offered her brother, rabbit shifter Luke, to be a pretend boyfriend for the wedding. When Luke and Sabrina meet, he’s more than happy to be her boyfriend because she is his fated mate.
Luke and Sabrina are so cute, even Luke’s neurotic rabbit. I didn’t like The Girls- friends that make Sabrina feel like she had to lie about a boyfriend because of their hounding are not much of friends in my book. But I could ignore their small portion of the overall story and still enjoyed it a lot.
Does Noah have special fire-blocking mind powers?? Seemed like there’s a story there with a tiny hint or 2. Or maybe wishful thinking on my part for something very special for him.
I love the Virtue Shifter series! In this one architect, and single, Sabrina is in Virtue to design the new railroad building in Virtue, but she needs to go to Vegas for a college friend’s wedding, and had made up that she had a boyfriend to bring to the wedding. Her new friend from Virtue volunteers her brother to go as her fake boyfriend. He agrees, but he has his own reasons.
This story is so cute, and had me laughing out loud in places, especially with the inner dialogue of a certain shifter. I really needed a story like this to read !
OMG I didn't think I could like a book better than your Virtue Shifter A love like no otter! I think that was the title but you know which one I mean! These keep on getting better and better better!!! Soo good!!
This one was sweet, fun, and all sorts of awkward. And surprising, not nearly as awkward as it could be! I loved that her friends were nice, the trip went smoothly, and everything ended well. Also, um, Noah??
Gym Bunny meets fated mate. Has to fake a relationship. Mate falls hard for hunky bunny. Everything hunky dory until an arsonist hits town. Noah saves the day. Highly recommend!
Luke realizes that she is his fated mate and volunteers. They tell everyone that they have been dating for months, because they fell in love at first sight.
A Gym Bunny…an architect…and my favorite town! Lots of laugh-out-loud moments and ALL the inevitable puns, catching up with our Virtue friends…what’s not to love about this book? Now I have to go re-read the series!
Yes you know what you’re getting into, yes there’s a bunny, yes the romance be romancing. But as always Zoe/Murphy do a great job with the characters so you wish they were your friends.
