Sianni McWashington thought she had life figured out until everything fell apart in one night.
After catching her boyfriend cheating and finding out he’s expecting a baby with another woman, she’s left hurt, humiliated, and trying to start over. With bills piling up and her heart still bruised, love is the last thing on her mind.
Then Kyrie Maddox walks in.
Confident and used to getting what he wants, Kyrie makes it clear he sees her, and he’s not letting her go. When pressure from his career forces him to fix his image, he offers her a deal that pulls her into his world.
It was supposed to be temporary, just business.
But nothing about the way he touches her feels fake.
As feelings grow and the past starts creeping back in, Sianni has to decide if Kyrie is another mistake or the man who might change her life for good.
Because this time, it’s not just her heart on the line. It’s everything.
This book took me through so many emotions. 😂😂 It deals with real life issues of cheating, abandonment, growth, betrayal, fake friends, and loneliness it’s real relatable in some ways. Kyrie is cocky, confident, strong, a ladies man, handsome, fine, and rich. Sianni is bold, patient, loving, but not to be pushed over or played with. Kyrie needs Sianni to help him through a rough patch and when she finally agrees he doesn’t expect to feel all he does jealousy, chemistry, and more importantly love. The intimacy, sensuality, and flirtation between Sianni and Kyrie is chef’s kiss. They navigate their feelings while enjoying each other’s company not knowing their being betrayed, backstabbed, and plotted on. Just as things are looking up tragedy hits and Sianni must step up and figure things out because she was chosen for this. I’m so ready for book 2.
Omg so much drama and action in this book..my girl just want to be happy. But she got haters and misable ex boyfriend that want leave her alone. I love Kyrie for sianna I love how protected of her and how he showing her how a real man suppose to treat her. With a friend like Alex u will not want to deal with females period..lol
See you messed me up with this one…like I knew Lex was a lil shadey but THAT is a whole different kinda shade…Cuz how you pretending this your brother while he date your best friend??? And I’m rooting for Ky and Si…that ending had me hanging over my bed…for real…..can’t wait for part 2
I’ve gotten stingy with my stars. But, I’m giving this one 5 of’em! No typos or grammatical errors which drive me crazy from other authors of urban novels. Story progression was well thought out, flowed nicely with a dramatic cliffhanger ending. Can’t wait for the next installment. Kudos Keisha J!
This was kind of disconnected in parts for me. Kyri was a football player who just happened to meet Sianni oneday at a diner and instantly took a liking to her. My problem with this was he travels with no security, he's staying at his cousins house but rich as ever, and Lex her supposedly BFF is envious of Sianni and fooling around pretending Amani is her brother. The upcoming wedding to said cousin seems to be an aftertjougjt, and she's really just using Marcus, who's too dense to realize it! Story line sort of seems disconnected to true life of a famous football player. Sianni just ups and moves with him into an arrangement, seemed a little far-fetched, then they start a marriage but nothing is really developing toward realness, no real intimacy. I'm just not sold but I want to know what happens now with Jamal and his knee jerk response to the fight. Where was security for both of them??? Not totally sure how this will wrap up, just a little out there!!
If you're broke and someone wants to take care of you, and you keep turning them down because you think you can do it on your own when that hasn't been the case is the definition of insanity and l thought Sianni was smarter than that but clearly she isn't because she's been played by her so called best friend and ex-boyfriend for years. I also do not like that the FMC didn't want anything for herself after her mother passed like why give up on life when you still have life in your body. This is a super slow burn like snail paced, nothing really happened to get them closer together except the ending not sure if I am looking forward to part two or not.
Bro, I’m not gone lie it took me three days to read this book . It’s like she dragged it out too long to the point i started getting mad like tf sanni playing this much for just a kiss on the lips , drama was slow building so i suppose book two will have everything . Now i know every book will not be the same but she dragged this book so mf bad B . I hope you have the patience i should have prayed for . Is the book good ? Yes . Did she drag it . Yes will i read the second installment.. I’m not sure but read it you might like it
It was kind of good but this book got drugged out to a part 2. Sianni and Kyrie got on my nerves majority of the time because neither one of them made a move. Truly didn’t get good until the end.
This story dragged on...beyond a slow burn, actually didn't even get to the burn. Fair warning this is not a stand alone. A lot of random scenes and stories to drag it out. The story line started out good and intriguing but it could of wrapped up for sure
