About the author

A.E. Rayne is an epic fantasy author from New Zealand who grew up with a love of history and, thanks to her beloved Swedish grandmother, a fascination with Vikings. Unable to locate or build a time machine as a child, she instead invented her own worlds and thrilling adventures. In them, she was usually wielding a sword, overcoming impossible odds, and heroically saving the day. She is tenacious, dogged, willful, loyal, and brutally honest. Which, if you’ve read her books, might just remind you of her most famous character, Jael Furyck.

She has a degree in Communication Studies with a major in television and has also trained as a graphic designer. So not only does she write vivid, cinematic books, but she designs their covers as well.

Epic Fantasy

What an epic fantasy series. A.E. Rayne has saved the best for last. All the characters assemble for one epic battle, but first they have to get there.

Such a wonderful read, and compelling world building, this book continues the amazing writing Rayne is known for. Sad this is the last installment but excited to see where she takes us next.

This much awaited book did not disappoint. My only issue was that it had been some time since reading the previous book, and this one takes up right ehete the other left off, with no quick reminder of what happened previously. It took a while to get things straight, but the story became very intense on a number of fronts, all focusing on an epic battle at the end. The authors style bops back and forth between various characters and scenarios, which I found distracting in the first book, but adjusted. I really liked this story, and tip my hat to the author for coming up with this epic tale, and sharing it with us! I highly recommend this series!

What a fantastic ending to such an amazing adventure! These characters are some of my favorite characters across ALL fiction. They feel like family. This ended beautifully. Thank you for doing it again and giving your fans and readers a great rollercoaster ride. I can imagine all of it!

An excellent epic fantasy series with a well written storyline and great world building. A great cast of characters which include kings, warriors, and dreamers. Final book in the Fate of the Furycks epic fantasy series that was outstanding from beginning to end. Contains plenty of action and lots of adventure. The intricate weaving of characters and stories is by far the best I've had the pleasures of reading. Wonderful ending to all of it! Solidly satisfying escapism

Lots of threads pulled together in this 20th-ish installment of a detailed and layered storyline. I found it a wee bit hard to get back into the details of the narrative initially - loads of characters and plot lines - but glad the author stuck the landing and was happy to go along for the ride.
