Saturation: To be completely filled, soaked, or overwhelmed

Rate this book
Eugenia Monroe Wels is used to holding it all together. She works hard, loves hard, and rarely slows down long enough to be cared for. But when Langston Lennox walks into her life with quiet confidence and a gaze that sees right through her, something shifts.

Langston is everything she told herself she didn't have time for. Gentle but assertive, playful but grounded, he shows up for Nia in ways she didn't know she needed. Their connection is magnetic and deeply emotional, unfolding in stolen moments, shared laughter, and a heat that builds with every lingering glance.

But a love like this asks for vulnerability, and letting go of control is its own kind of risk.

Saturation is a soft Black romance full of heart, heat, and healing.

Sexy, emotional, and so easy to root for

"Saturation" was such a good time. It’s sexy, funny, emotional, and full of the kind of chemistry that makes you immediately invested. Nia and Langston had me from the start. Their connection is intense but it does not feel random or shallow. You can feel the attraction, but you can also feel the care underneath it.
Nia was one of my favorite parts of the book. She’s ambitious, guarded, funny, and still figuring out how to let someone love her without waiting for the other shoe to drop. She felt like a real woman with real insecurities, real goals, and real reasons for protecting herself. And Langston? That man was gone-gone. Protective, attentive, confident, and very much about Nia from the start. He sees her, listens to her, and shows up in ways that go way past the bedroom.
The spice is heavy, definitely heavy, but the book also has real emotional weight. It touches on workplace harassment that gets darker than you expect, body image, complicated family dynamics, and what it actually feels like to be loved correctly. One of my favorite parts was watching Langston’s family fold Nia in and become the support system her own family never quite gave her. That hit hard.

For a novella, this packs a lot in and does it well. My only real wish is that I wanted more time in this world because I genuinely loved these characters. The friend group, the family, the career stuff, all of it felt like it could carry its own books. I’m hoping that’s where the author is headed because the bonus chapters set things up nicely.

If you like Black romance with a protective hero, high spice, found family, and a man who is completely obsessed in the best way, pick this up.

loved this book!!!!

This is my second read by Sage Bloom Cloud, and whewwww….I loved it. At this point, they’re easing their way onto my favorites list, and I’m not mad about it at all.

Saturation is a spicy contemporary romance that follows Nia and Langston. Their connection starts off a little messy. Langston initially sleeps with Nia’s roommate, but what unfolds feels like straight-up divine intervention pulling them toward their forever.

The story is full of drama and chaos, but honestly, what’s a good romance without a little mess? My absolute favorite character was Langston. The love, care, and attention he pours into Nia is top-tier in every way. His protective nature had me smiling from ear to ear.

I loved that he never let the outside drama derail what they were building, and seeing them push through it all to get their happy ending was so satisfying. Spicy, emotional, and addictive. This one definitely delivered.

This was my first read from this author, and I enjoyed it. I loved Nia and Langston (aka Lennox aka Lady Love 🤣 )He was corny in that “you’re only getting away with it because you’re attractive” kind of way. But once he set his sights on Nia, he did not let up, and I loved that for both of them. Their relationship felt secure, affirming, and real. At times, the chemistry jumped off the page.

That said, I do feel like a lot happened off page that would’ve made the story hit even harder if we experienced it alongside the characters, and the ending felt a little rushed. Still, it was an enjoyable read, and I’d definitely pick up more from this author. The bonus chapters also did a nice job of setting up what I hope are future books. Especially with the friend group, who I really liked throughout.

Perfection

Nia and Langston had me invested from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down. Before I knew it, I was at the end. This is my first book by the author and I was captivated. At first I was thinking that Langston was just another F-boy, but he restored my faith almost immediately. He proved that when it came to Nia, he listened, he was perceptive, and no one was going to disrespect her. I loved his family real bad. They were really a gift to Nia. Happy Reading Y’all!💋

Between her roommate throwing shade, her momma and her unhealed issues, and that trifling ass Marcus!!!!! I was ready to hand out some fades behind my girl Nia because she truly didn't bother anybody.... But Babyyyyyyyyyy Langston said don't worry about it whatever you're carrying I'll carry for you, and that he did! He fell fast and hard, but out of all the toxic people in her life he never dropped her not once.

ARC REVIEW

The way I anticipated and felt about this book ought to be a crime. Eugenia “Nia” and Langston gave the kind of chemistry that translated flawlessly onto the page. Not gonna lie how they met was a little messy and undeniable but damn if I wasn’t like fuck ol girl and whoever dude was lol!

I’m not gonna hold you, Saturation was tasteful well-paced, and emotionally grounding. let’s not forget to mention the supporting characters – they added a very meaningful depth to Nia and Langston’s story. I’m crossing my fingers so hopefully see more of the other characters soon. Found family, great chemistry, intentional and that Langston didn’t let up at all.

Sage, you deliver with a passion behind that pen. I will not stop recommending this book.

Saturation was soft, intentional, and the kind of love that sneaks up on you. Watching Eugenia let her guard down and be cared for felt real, and Langston… gentle, present, and doing it right. Tender, a little steamy, with just a sprinkle of drama.

Thank you to Sage Bloom Cloud for the advance copy of Saturation.

Soft Love That Stays With You

I picked up Saturation thinking it would be a quick, light read, and ended up enjoying it more than I expected.
There’s something about the way Nia and Langston come together that just works. It moves from a slow build into something deeper without feeling forced. I liked how he shows up for her, steady and present, without making a big deal out of it.
And the soft Black love here? Yeah… that felt good to sit with. I was right there like a fly on the wall, just watching it unfold.
I also liked how their family dynamics shaped who they are without getting in the way of them choosing each other. No struggle love, no heavy cycles dragging them down. Just two people figuring it out and moving toward something that feels right.
The whole story has a gentle feel, but it still keeps you engaged. It moves fast enough, the stakes sit right in the middle, and there are a lot of small moments that stick with you after you’re done.
It’s one of those reads where you don’t feel rushed, you just sit with it and let it unfold

What Langston thought would be a one night stand, took a turn of events for the better. This was a good short read that didnt feel rushed. The chemistry between the FMC & MMC was organic, magnetic and sensual. Langston was the soft landing Nia needed and she was the push that he needed. They both were fuel for one another at the right time in each others lives. I love how they didnt try and change the other person but figured out where they fit in in each others lives. I loved the dynamic of the support of their friendship group. Nia and her girls, Langston & his guys, this was really was a feel good steamy romance that reminded me of a black 90s rom com. There were a few characters that got on my nerve lol but you’ll realize who they are once you read the book for yourself. Over all this was a good read.

Saturation by Sage Bloom Cloud
Nia wasn’t expecting to fall for her roommate casual ..let’s say date.. But it happened. An awkward encounter leads both Nia and Langston down a path that they didn’t expect. That is why Langston is willing to go to the ends of the earth to prove that his love for Nia is unstoppable. He loved her out loud with no restraints.

From Langston to Nia, his parents, their friends; it makes you realize that we all need love to survive. The fact that Nia was a light to everyone around her spoke volumes on how others see us compared to how we see ourselves. We all need to be loved properly and that is what Sage Bloom Cloud showed us in Saturation. #booksbooksbooks #book #sagebloomcloud #saturation #blackromancewriters

Beautifully Saturated

Sometimes you just need a love story that fills you up and Saturation did exactly that .
Nia had me side-eyeing her a few times, but she finally got it right. She had to learn how to receive the kind of love she deserved. Langston stood on business. He was so patient, intentional, and showed up for Nia every time.
Nia has the worst family dynamic with her parents. I will say Momma came through when it mattered. This one was soft, healing, and full of love done right.
That bonus scene, yeah, I’m still smiling.

🤭🤭🤭
This is my first read from Sage Bloom Cloud and I enjoyed Saturation. The way Langston (in public) & Lennox (in private) catered to Nia needs physically, mentally, emotionally, and sexually. OMG! This man attentively showed his love daily. My boy, LL, did not play about his intentions for Nia.

Friend, I'm ready for the friend group story. Hmm, which sister is Matt in love with? Is it Lark? What's up with Vel & Chris? Why she being cold with him? And I'm curious to see Jasmine observant a** turn Joe out. 😂🤭

Book: 🌹 Saturation 🌹
Author: @sagebloomcloud

Check out this debut novel by Sage releasing 4/21! It’s a sweet instalove where he falls first! Langston is the pure example of if he wants to he will!

Nia thinks she can just walk away from LL but he aint having it.

I liked this cute novella. Glad there wasn’t a lot of back and forth! Langston is a grown mature man when it comes to Nia. We love that!!!

I would have loved to see a little more depth and character development for the main characters.

Thank you @ellekaygeepub and @sagebloomcloud for the ARC.

Saturation is too cute! I will easily read this book again!
Saturation is such an easy read that captivated me with the writing, I didn’t want to put the book down!

Nia and Langston, Lennox if you’re a little nasty 🤭, characteristics are relatable.

Mr. Langston saw what he wanted and went after it.

I’m glad Nia let her hair down and let Langston court her.

Very Spicy, very cutesy, very artsy!

If you love a high-quality novella, you need this one. Nia is a confident, hardworking plus-size lead who doesn't hold back when it comes to love. Langston is the perfect match—attentive and totally obsessed with her.

Their "meet-awkward" turned into a life-changing connection. I loved how the author balanced the passion with a soft, emotional core. It’s a beautiful story about two hearts finding where they belong.

4.5 stars…

A book about a woman being loved on correctly and unapologetically!!

I wasn't jealous of Nia when I was reading this! 😂😂😂 Yes I was!!

This book was a feel good love story!!

Langston didn't play about Nia or his feelings about her... he loved her loud and genuinely!!

The men really are better in the books!!!

Anyways, if you love a romance with little drama, this is the one for you!!

What a debut

This book is about an undying love that’s simply meant to be. My girl’s roommate was such a hater. Nina was so kind and determined to be a great person when she could have crashed out. I enjoyed reading about a plus size FMC that was confident, dressed well, and didn’t care what anyone had to say.

Ladies Love (such a corny nickname) but this man was far from his. He knew what he wanted and didn’t let go until he got want he wanted. I loved that about him.

I can’t wait for the Next Book

I loved the build up of their love story. I love how Langston aka LL loved on Nia, he made her feel safe and that’s all a woman wants. I love how Sage gave us tidbits of the friend groups which means there will be more love stories coming and I’m so excited for it. My first read by her but it won’t be my last

I am officially obsessed after finishing Saturation! Sage Bloom has written a masterpiece with Nia and Langston. Seeing a plus-size FMC finally get the man she deserves.. someone who goes above and beyond and truly worships her was everything.
The banter is top-tier, but the soul of this book is definitely the friendship and the "found family" aspect. Langston falls first and he falls hard, which is my absolute favorite trope. It’s high heat, high emotion, and 100% worth the hype. I need the next book in this series immediately!
