Great reboot
I loved the first series and was cautiously optimistic about the reboot.
This novel is great. It is a true reboot, there are some similarities but it is a completely new book just having a similar basic outline and characters.
This one is definitely an improvement. Several storylines that didn’t quite work for me or were a little awkward are gone and everything works really well.
Can’t wait for the next one.

Pretty much the same as the original series with just a few tweaks. I am curious how the next two books diverge from the first published series.

For a book focused almost 100% on game mechanics, it's a pretty easy read. Some basic human connections are introduced in the final third, but they're only lightly sketched in.
I can't see myself continuing the series.

So this is difficult to review. On one hand I had fun, truly looking forward to reading it every day and I will continue but on the other hand you have to call out it's flaws, it is a stupid power fantasy for girls. And written exactly that way.
Don't expect higher prose or a overly thought out plot or good character development. There is some but it's so little and cringe I am not sure it counts. For half the book Lilith doesn't even talk to another person.
As I said straight up power fantasy, MC is so overpowered she has no set backs, there is no doubting she will win everything and she got more rng luck than is believeable. And a full magic wardrobe of clothing that fits her mood can't forget that. 😉
If you're ok with all that it is a fun little book and I enjoyed watching Lilith cheese everything but not everyone will.
So if you're in the mood for stupid fun this will do in a heartbeat.

Alright lets restart this isiki. Once more with feeling
Not exactly sure why the Author had to re lunch the series but its an excellent 1st book. I dont know how it might compare with somone completely unfamiliar with the authors work but as a fan of the books I liked the new set up and re start to the series. Its different enough not to feel like "ive read this before " yet gives old fans some "i understand that reference " feeling too. 5 out of 5 starts. ^_^

Hey I don't know if the author will see this but first, I found a similar too similar writing of this story on webnovel and want them to know, it is called Strongest Undead Empire From Scratch.
That aside I can't wait for this series to continue, or, re-continue. It was well done and does a fair job of dragging one in so that they an be a part of said story, well if they have the imagination to place themselves there. 😀

Real gem of a story
This story hit every checkbox flr enjoyment. Not to many words. Not over complicated. Great storytelling. Believe-able characters and situations. Plus a homt of luck. I read this in under two days (going through some things). Exactly what I needed to help me conquer my world.

loved it!
Been waiting for this since the remake was announced after wondering why I couldn’t find the original to read a 3rd time!
Definitely lots of changes from the original but loving this one too, already can’t wait for the next one in this and the other 2 series as well!

Really great rewrite
I read Lilith's story when it was first released as a 5 book story line. I always felt the story was rushed a bit, but it was still good. Happy to see the slower pace and more details in this rewite and slightly changed story line. Can't wait to read more. 😃

Not OP Not very exciting
I prefer my MC to be overpowered. There is another similar book with an undead overload and that book is MUCH better. The MC rocks the power and dominates his enemies. This female MC is just boring.

Nice kingdom builder series. I was a little worried when the original series was removed to be re-written, but this remade version trumps the old one. Nice work!

Everybody Loves A Do-over!
Though I appreciated the flaws and quirks of the first version, this new version is more solid. Looking forward to Books 2-6!

This is actually a weird one for me to review because I have found myself mostly enjoying this series while recognizing that.. it isn't good. The concept is interesting, the city building aspect and progression system are fun, and having her focus revolve around undead is personally appealing to me.
But the writing isn't great. The dialog is virtually non existent and it gets somehow less existent over time. Every character feels wooden and soulless with some basic one dimensional trope slapped onto them. There is no show here, only tell in the most literal sense. It feels less like reading a story and more like reading a bullet point list without even the ghost of nuanced story telling. So many full conversations are skipped over with a "Lilith talked to so-and-so about this" without us actually getting to hear what was said. Action scenes are predictable and lack tension.
And for some reason, every male character meant to be "evil" is clearly labeled as such by their repeated comments on how they want to sexually assault the main character. Like, every single one follows the same pattern: Does stupid cocky asshole things, gets in a conflict with MC, makes some off the cuff remark about how they are going to take pleasure in SA'ing her, and then almost immediately dies.
I'll even go as far to say that the two female antagonists so far have also been written in the same way and come off as grossly predatory. (Though they haven't made the outspoken SA remark like every male character)
Its super weird and very one dimensional.
And yet, again.. I've still read up to the most recent volume (5). I can only explain that because each book is extremely short and easy to read (2-3 hours to finish, max) and it fills that niche when you're looking for something simple to just shut your brain off entirely for a moment. So if that's what you need and you like kingdom builders, this might scratch that itch.
Even with that little bit of grace, it feels like it is getting worse and less interesting as it goes on though so we will see if I continue with it.

I think there are two series that are pretty much the same theme and path, written by the same author. This rating is going to be for the second one I read. That being said, I really enjoyed the book. The similarities between the two are very evident but what Lilith has done and how she has changed the path of the story I think is really good. I really enjoyed it and would definitely like to see more. Would definitely recommend to a fellow reader.
