I had the pleasure of receiving this as an ALC and voluntarily will be giving my honest review. I absolutely loved this audio book the dramatic sounds effects made it that more real!! The voices oh my what an absolute masterpiece!! This is a quick must listen to audiobook it will not disappoint!!

Sweet Tea with a Shot of Sorcery by F.J. Wickham is a quick, witchy Southern Gothic horror novella packed with sisterhood, secrets, sarcasm, betrayal, and just the right amount of magic.

Set against the historic backdrop of Cahaba University, the story follows a young Southern woman searching for a place where she belongs, only to discover that her family history runs much deeper…and much more magically…than she ever expected.

This was a quick and easy read that left me wanting just a little more when it was over. It’s the kind of down-and-dirty novella that makes a great palate cleanser between longer books, especially when you’re craving a complete change of scenery.

I listened to an advanced listening copy of the audiobook, and it made for a really enjoyable listen. The Southern atmosphere, secretive sorority traditions, witchy elements, dark humor, and catty sarcasm all come together to give this one a fun, slightly sinister vibe.

The production was really well done. The sound effects, background music and ambiance added to the atmosphere, and the voices fit the characters and Southern setting perfectly.

Short, entertaining, and easy to devour in one or two sittings. If you’re in the mood for Southern Gothic vibes, witches, family secrets, and a little sorority drama, this one is worth picking up.

This was so refreshing and authentic. I was blown away by how much an accent can change the way I experience an audiobook. But I have to be honest — there were a few moments when I had to rewind and listen again because I didn’t quite catch something, but it was no trouble at all.
The dramatization and sound effects painted the atmosphere so well! I even jumped at one point. I bet after finishing the book, you will know where.
It was so atmospheric, so intriguing - at one moment I started thinking about American Horror Story and that it could belong to that universe. It was interesting and quite short, but it worked perfectly for this story. I definitely think there is more to come!
The release timing is great because I think it is a great choice to mix things up, especially during the spooky season.

The southern humor and this book is hysterical and I chuckled every time someone said "Bless your heart" because I know what they really meant lol Talk about going from 0 to 100 real quick and if there's one piece of advice I can give you from this novella, don't mess with the sisterhood!! You be the judge weather this is a sorority or coven but if you ask me it's smelling a little witchy which I'm here for. 😅😅 If you want to book that will get you ready to put you into spooky season mode, this one's for you. Side note, I was not ready for that ending and I'm so happy I was never in a sorority. 👀

Fantastic multicast audio of a hilarious, witchy, southern sorority horror!

This book was such a joy to listen to. I bought the audio today! Each narrator brought their own unique flair to the character they played, making me laugh and then giving me chills. The production of this was outstanding! All the immersive sounds behind the narration made it feel truly immersive.

The story of a southern girl looking for something she can’t quite place, only to learn that there is more to her lineage than she could ever imagine. A coven seeking the one to finish the circle. The story of sisterhood intertwined with magic, secrets, and undeniable bonds. There’s catty sarcasm, dark humor, betrayal, and magic. I thoroughly enjoyed this short, witchy-vibes southern horror from F. J. Wickham. Xoxo

A listen I enjoyed from start to finish. It's short but packs suspense and adventure in. The accents and sound effects were lots of fun. The immersive audio was well done. The story follows a group of young women in college. Some old friends. Some new. One finds secrets and peace in sisterhood. The characters are entertaining and the story flows well. Moving forward and keeping me wanting to know what’s next. It had a few spooky moments but nothing overly so. Well worth a read!

Sweet Tea with a Shot of Sorcery was a phenomenal listen. The sounds and music in the background of the audiobook added to the story and evoked the feelings of unease and dread when needed. I found myself feeling just as swept up into this sorority as the characters in the story were. A fast-paced, pulse-pounding novella perfect for setting the scene and preparing for spooky season.

Lia heads off to Omicron Chi, completely unknowing of how much she is needed by the girls in the sorority! She finally realises exactly who she is and it’s not a moment too soon.
This read was so well put together. The setting felt all Sabrina the teenage witch and I could imagine watching a movie version of this story with the setting and characters. I can’t help but feel there is more to come from this story and it’s been such a lovely change up of pace to read a lighter horror. I loved it.

Thank you for the ALC on this one! I thought this was a perfect appetizer for more. I definitely want to read more from this group. The story is a novella so you get right into things. It was a great beginning for a new coven that is formed during the book. The characters have sass, there is feminine rage, sisterhood, feel good witchy vibes. It made me think of charmed but darker. I loved it and the narrators did a fantastic job. I love the added effects for this dramatized version. Definitely give this one a quick listen!
