Second Chance Heartbreaker
Rooster has been a prospect for the Reaper’s Rejects MC Mexico for years and had come with many secrets that are about to come out when a person from his past shows up at the club’s gate. He left Mila ten years ago thinking he was doing it to keep her safe. Little did he know that she was taken anyway and spent nine years living in hell. She escaped and promised to come back to release the other women who were being held captive as well.
Their story was of second chances, heartbreak, devastation and finding your way back. Ms. Knox wrote of some of the strongest people with perfection. I was stuck in my own little world while reading this book because I felt so invested in these characters.

This is the fourth book in this amazing second generations series, and this is Finn / Rooster and Mila’s story.

Rooster’s Remorse is the fourth book in Elizabeth Knox’s Reapers Rejects MC: Second Generation-Mexico series, and it is one of the most poignant and emotionally powerful installments yet. Elizabeth Knox is one of my favorite authors in the MC romance genre, and this book demonstrates exactly why. From the first page to the last, the story had me completely invested, and often reeling.
Knox tackles the horrific realities of human trafficking with unflinching honesty, but she never sensationalizes the women’s suffering or reduces them to what was done to them. Instead, she writes about them with compassion, dignity, and a profound understanding of everything that has been taken from them. Most importantly, she gives them agency. The men of the Reapers Rejects may get the women out of the rooms where they were imprisoned, but they understand that the women must ultimately save and reclaim themselves. That distinction is powerful, and Knox conveys it with raw respect.
The story delivers suspense, intense drama, action, sacrifice, redemption, shocking revelations, unexpected twists, and the return of a past that refuses to remain buried. At its heart is a steamy and deeply emotional romance that has been put on hold for far too long. Rooster’s journey is filled with remorse, difficult choices, and the possibility of redemption, making his story both compelling and heartbreaking. Mila demonstrates that she is beyond a survivor, she is wholly resilient.

A wonderful read with great characters and plot that will hold readers riveted to last page
Rooster is the main character in this read and this is all about his story that has stretched over a total of ten years, ten years that he has carried a woman’s name in his very soul but has refused to forget her.
Mila has been going through absolute hell, the fact that she had been taken and was now going through absolute hell and it seems that she is most likely going to die within the grasp of these men that sell her body for use and abuse and anything that takes their fancy and then leave her in broken pieces.
When she finally manages to escape after many failed attempts, she knows that there is only one place that she can possibly feel safe until she can find somewhere she can move to where she can disappear, where they cannot possibly ever find her again.
She thinks that he is simply going to allow her to leave but he knows that he cannot allow that to happen again, he has thought about her for the last ten years and he knows that he cannot lose her again but will he be able to convince her to stay with him.
This is a pretty tough read at times by the strength of Mila is simply amazing to read and you have to respect her for her bravery and tenacity and then you have to accept that this couple are stronger together.
I guarantee that readers will be captivated by this simply wonderful read, the plot will hold readers totally mesmerised and captivated by this read.

Mila finds common ground with some of the other women at the compound and begins to heal, never forgetting her promise to those she left behind.

The storyline is full of secrets, regrets, heartbreak with MC Drama, family, tragedy and a second chance at love. The characters are larger than life, resilient, passionate and complex.
This is Rooster's and Mila's heartbreaking romance journey. 10 years ago Rooster left the only women he would ever love behind thinking he was keeping her safe, little did he know that the enemy he thought he was protecting her from would take her. Mila had to endure 9 years of severe physical and mental torment until one day she managed to escape. Now she will face the one man she wants answers from, protection and to fulfull a promise to the ones she left behind. Now he has to face his club when the truth is revealed, will he lose his MC family? Will the Reapers MC help him and Mila take down the human sex ring? Through all of the heartbreak, will Rooster and Mila get their second chance at love or will the 10 years apart destroy them? Elizabeth Knox has done it again with this raw, emotional MC romance story. This series is a must read which I highly recommend.

This is a great. Book and the characters are so good together. They are both caught up in something that they really shouldn’t have been in. Rooster because of his father and Mila because of Rooster and his father. He left to protect her and his mother, not knowing that she was gonna be caught up in the mess that was left behind. What neither of them had known was that her parents would pay the ultimate price keeping. Quiet about his whereabouts.
Mila thought that she had been just picked up off the streets randomly, only to find out that they took her hoping to punish her for Rooster, but what they didn’t know was that she was waiting and waiting for an opening to escape. When she does get it she goes and finds her way home only to find out her parents were murdered and then she goes to Roosters mom and then to the Mexican clubhouse to find him.
Together they are both broken in different ways but the love they had for each other comes back stronger then it ever was and they would walk thur hell for each other. The club has come to respect her and agrees to help her get the women she had to leave behind, which was a trap, but they were successful in rescuing them .

This was an amazing, heartbreaking story about tragedy, pain, redemption, acceptance and inner strength. Mila and Rooster ripped my heart and put it back together. Rooster (Finn) is a prospect for years for the Reapers Rejects MC in Mexico. He has a devastating secret that could label him a rat. When Mila, a woman from his past, appears unexpectedly in the MC’s doorstep, his past bleeds out. But what happened to Mila is devastating, heartbreaking and horrifying – and Finn has a role in it he didn’t see coming, because sometimes making decisions to save other people isn’t as effective as one’s would want. So, now, the MC has to decide if Rooster, who stands still and takes everything they throw his way because he feels he deserves it, is worth to be called a Brother. I have had the honour of Arc Reviewing Elizabeth’s work for a while now. Being part of her MC reads has been phenomenal. There has been a fair share of horror and disgust but also what is important is family.
Rooster’s Remorse is the one that will break you emotionally. The beginning will make you question humanity. What was supposed to be a saving grace became a grave site. A decision 10 years ago changed the lives around Rooster (Finn) & Mila. Each page is a tragedy, sometimes we receive a spark. 2 charters unite on a deadly mission. A mission that will be further detailed I assume in Elizabeth’s next reads.

I have read many books by Elizabeth Knox and I have loved each and every one but this book had such a great and powerful story that it has left a mark on me with it’s raw emotions and dwelling into a subject that we can only imagine about. Rooster and Mila had a long journey to their HEA and along the way they both suffered huge traumas in their lives especially Mila but their journey to seeking justice will leave you wanting so much more of these wonderful and strong characters. This story was mainly about second chances and redemption and all the Reapers Rejects MC Mexico play very pivotal parts in Mila keeping a promise she made whilst being held in a hellish prison. If you have read any of the books in this series you will know how emotional they can be but I promise you that this book is worth the read despite it’s very raw and emotional subject matter. Cannot praise Ms Knox enough for her writing.

He left Camila to keep her safe, which was just brilliant (slow clap) because like five minutes later she was kidnapped and then trafficked for nine years. After waiting for Finn (Rooster) to come for her, she is careful and resourceful and makes her own escape.
Mila promises to return. Months later, she has come to the MC to help get the other women out. And to get some explanation from Rooster.
A very confronting book is ROOSTER’S REMORSE, with the reality of trafficking upfront and with a human face. It’s so much easier to write trafficking in the TW when a small lot of faceless women are hustled away in a truck to go to a center where they will get help. Bravo for Knox in individualizing the women. At the same time, this in-your-face approach can make readers uncomfortable, so it should be used judiciously.
Book is more plot than hot.
Triggers, in addition to trafficking women, includes but are not limited to trafficking of minor children, violence, injury of a minor, language, firearms possession and use.

Mila is quiet and the trauma this girl holds is heartbreaking.
This book is a lot from the start and boy does it have some major twists that take the story in a whole different direction. Can't wait for more!!!!!

Rooster’s Remorse by Elizabeth Knox was an emotional, intense ride! I loved the second-chance romance and the complicated history between Rooster and the woman he never truly stopped loving. His decision to leave her years ago may have been meant to protect her, but watching the consequences of that choice unfold was heartbreaking. 💔
The danger, suspense, and protective MC atmosphere kept me hooked, while the emotional tension between these two made their reunion even more powerful. I loved seeing Rooster determined to make things right and prove that this time, he wasn’t going anywhere. 🖤

This is book four of the Reapers Rejects MC: Second Generation-Mexico series, and let me tell you, it's so emotionally charged and powerful. The way in which Elizabeth Knox does the MC style books is second to none. All you have to do is read this series and you'll understand exactly why I said what I did.
We are faced with the horrors of human trafficking, but the way in which Ms. Knox addresses this sensitive subject is respectful but truthful. It's beautifully handled, and she talks about the victims with care and shows they're more than the crimes committed against them; they are survivors.
You get drama, action, intrigue, suspence, twists and turns, steam and truths revealed. And the world Ms. Knox created within these pages may be brutally savage, but it's real, making this such a poignant, powerful read. This series is one I'll revisit again and again. I'd give 30 stars if I could!

This is a great read but can also be hard and heartbreaking

There is an overarching story-line that runs through this series and characters develop and are a part in the books, so the series is best read in order from the first book to really understand everything. With that being said this story drew me in immediately and held me until the ending. But this story is hard to read at times, as it deals with the human trafficking of women for sex and what happens both during and after it. It did make my heart break at time as I read about Mila, the MFC, and then Rooster, who had thought he did the right thing ten years ago and now realizes he was completely wrong. I found myself hoping that Mila would heal and become whole again, and that she could finally find peace and possibly love and a future that she had envisioned before she had been taken.

This is a dark love story of a young woman who loved the boy across the street and then all of a sudden he's gone.She gets taken when she was twenty two and used by sex traffickers held for nine years until she finally gets a chance to escape.She finds out her parents were murdered because they refused to tell men where Finn was. She finally finds him and asks him why he left when he says he left to protect her she says you didn't protect me I was taken anyway .And my parents were murdered because they wouldn't give up where you were.She wants his clubs help to get the eleven woman still there out.And if possible take down the gut in charge.Will she forgive Finn for not giving her the choice to go with him.?Will they find healing in each others arms.? There are so many twists and turns to this story you will be riveted til the very last page.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

Mila's story broke my heart! I have read the other novels in this series and really enjoyed them. This novel did not disappoint. I was so excited to jump into this novel. It did not let me down. From the first chapter this novel reached across the pages and grabbed my heart and held on tight. My heart hurt for Mila and all she had suffered and been thru. I loved despite everything she went thru that she was strong and never gave up and escaped. Rooster tried to do the right thing by Mila by lying to her and leaving her but she suffered because of her connection to him. Their chemistry was so good! I loved watching Mila lower her defenses and walls and slowly open her heart to Rooster and forgive him. So good! Once I started reading I didn't want to put this novel down. I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next. So good!

Rooster and Mila's journey of love took me on an emotional roller coaster ride. He left her ten years earlier, thinking he was protecting her, only to find out that disappearing on her didn't protect her at all. She was kidnapped and held captive for years. When she finally escaped, she shows up at the MC looking for a safe place and determined to save the rest of the women being held. Rooster is determined to make it up to Mila and do whatever it takes to win back her heart. This is a pull at your heart strings second chance MC romance with a kidnapping twist. The writing is good, the characters are believable, and the ending is good. Rooster's Remorse is book four and a wonderful addition to the Reapers Rejects MC: Second Generation Mexico series. Okay, the beginning of this book almost broke me. It was extremely difficult to read and my heart broke for Mila. With that said, I instantly knew this was going to be a wild and intense journey. The moment Rooster and Mila see each other, I was seriously holding my breath and it was so much more than I even realized. The way she made him absolutely speechless just by walking into the room was my favorite part. Watching their past and the present collide was truly insane. The high-stakes suspense, jaw-dropping secrets, and extremely spicy moments had me hanging on every page. This book absolutely blew me away!

It was slow at first getting into the storyline but once I did I couldn't put it down. The story is about Rooster (Finn) and Mila. They were close when they were younger and crazy about each other. Finn left Mila behind to save her from what was going on. He thought he was protecting her but she ended up being taken anyways. She was held captive with some other girls for years but was finally able to escape. She goes to the Reaper's Rejects MC clubhouse to get help from Finn and his club. The club comes together to help Mila and the other women. At the same time Finn and Mila are able to find their way back together.

Mila has been abducted and placed underground as well as other women solely for men but after her last beating she was able to escape and as soon as she could she made her way to the Reapers Rejects/Mexico. She finds her childhood friend Finn/Rooster as a prospect for the club and he is shocked that she is there when he always thought she had escaped after he was the whistleblower for some bad men from their old neighborhood. Mila spend nine years and wants answers from him and also his help to get the other girls out. This has suspense and danger plus the painful relationship between Mila and Finn.

Rooster has been a prospect for the Mexico charter for 6 years, he put his head down, did his work and didn't cause any problems. Until Mila shows up and his past is exposed. Mila has escaped a trafficking ring (heed the TW's!) after being taken 10 years prior and has come to her childhood friend for help. As the MC mobilizes against this enemy, Rooster and Mila come to terms with their past and present. This was an emotional read, that at times was uncomfortable, but came across as genuine and the hard topics were not swept under the rug.
