Chloe Colter dreamed of finding the guy for her and having the happiness she saw within her parents’ marriage, but ended up with an abusive fiancé who eroded her self-esteem and self-worth. Finally extracting herself from his vicious hold, she is trying to rebuild herself.

Gabe Walker has wanted Chole for quite a while, but as the sister of his best-friend he has tried to keep their relationship friendly but not too friendly, but when she finally leaves her low life fiancée and takes the job he offered, he finds his resolve crumbling, and he is determined to show he is the one for her, whilst treating her like the jewel he sees her as. However, when threats from the past crawl out of the shadows Gabe and Chole’s HEA are under threat.

Chole’s ex was a revolting little turd and I felt that

I wanted more determination/energy from the main characters and the plot whilst not bad didn’t have me gripping my kindle tightly, even for a moment.

Overall a ok, one time read.

I'm never disappointed with a J.S Scott read. So another five star was granted to me again with this book. The Billionaire Unbound. To fully understand what I mean I must first explain! This author writes under the genre, erotic romance. But clearly her books reveals so much more. For the book #8 in her installment Chloe is packed so much emotional scars of pain and miss direction about what it means to be truly loved. But its at the very beginning, my favorite author attack and grab my undivided attention of how she addresses the details Chloe's hurts and able to successfully bring about the intense chemistry between Chloe and Gabe. I was deeply moved also by the way in which the author address the issue of domestic violence and even the scene of recollection and recording into Chloe pass, for that was profoundly sensitive material and the author handle it beautifully as I know no another author could have done such a spectacular job. Every scene carried the right paste in showing a woman's road to recovery, from domestic abuse and every scene was packed with emotions of kindness, loyalty, and love in the Colter family. I'm now looking forward to the next read!!!

Note to author...
Next time could give me a peek into the fight !!

I can't get enough of this series, they are all so well written.
Just when I think J.S Scott's can't step up any more from the last book she goes and does it again!

This was the best so far. Chloe's story is unfortunately common, and this story covers issues that affect so many people.
Well written, positive messages throughout.

Gabe is a brilliant, hot, steamy, honest character that was a pleasure to listen to.

If you are fan of the Billionaire's by Author J S Scott you will know that her alpha males are extremely hot, passionate and caring with a touch of possessiveness to claim the women in their lives as 'MINE'.

This is Chloe's story and I honestly didn't know what to expect. What I got has blew me away. Such a touching story. This book had me gripped, I was choking on the lump foaming in my throat a few times. I have always been able to connect with this Author's books. Such a talented writer who develops the stories so well, you literally follow a journey the characters take and it's almost as if they become part of you. You feel the emotions as they do, excitement, sadness they all play a part.

Sweet Chloe has not had an easy life. I mean considering she has millions, you'd think anything was possible for her but that's not the case. Money isn't everything. In Chloe's case I think she'd give every last penny away just to have happiness in her life.

Chloe has a fiance, James and by God I hate this man. I know hate is a strong term but I mean it with every bone in my body. He's despicable, there is not one person on this earth who will disagree with me after reading this book.

Chloe has a wonderful family around her but she's hidden the truth for so long, she can't bring herself to tell them or want them involved. To say her brothers will not be happy if they ever find out what's been happening in Chloe's life is an understatement.

Gabe who is the best friend of Blake one of Chloe's brothers comes to Chloe's rescue. He has always had a thing for Chloe and wishes she would leave James. It seems a few people close to Chloe realise that he is not the man for her. God if only they knew the half of it.

Gabe offers Chloe a job on his ranch, it's always been her dream to work with horses. She's been through years of college, essentially putting everything on hold in her life to study hard. Gabe finds it hard to believe that Chloe is tolerating being treated in such a disgusting manner. Jesus wait till he finds out the whole truth and nothing but the truth. He will be like an atomic bomb waiting to explode its fury.

Chloe's best friend disappears off the face of the earth, some are presuming she's dead it's been so long but others are holding onto hope. Nothing makes sense as to why she has just vanished. The whole Colter family, especially Zane are determined to find her.

This is a brilliant book, the story is gripping. The scenes have been dealt with sensitivity. I just don't know where Author J S Scott is going to take me next but, I can tell you I'm extremely looking forward to her next book.

There's a reason why I love J.S. Scott this much.

I loved Chloe's story.
Very emotional and really good.

That's why I love this series.

But it's better to read them in order, u get a better picture of all the fuckery and twists and turns concerning all the characters.

Still highly recommend.

Before I start my review, I wanted to say a big thank you to Jan and her husband Sri. You two are one in a million and I'm so blessed to be apart of your online family. To me that's what we are (Family).

Now this Is Chloe's story, Book 8 in the billionaires series.. I personally love Chloe and you would think that because she is a billionaire, that she would be happy but with all the curve balls, secretes AND lies, there's no way she can be. Chloe is engaged to marry James. I dislike this man. When you read the book you will know why. Chloe resides to go back home to Rock Spring. Will she get what she want or will she be doomed.

Gabe is one of Chloes brother Blake's best friends and gets to help Chloe accomplish her dream. By offering her a job on his ranch. Have and Chloe' s brothers now something is not right with Chloe and James but they have no clue what's coming. Will Gabe be able to help Chloe? You my friends will have to read to find out.

A MUST MUST READ.. I can not get enough of Author J.S Scott. She is a fantastic writer and all her books are so heart gripping and breath taking. So AGAIN A MUST READ...

Amazing, another's one of J. S. Scott’s finest writing. Chloe and Gabe story will bring you love, passion and awareness of how domestic violence traps victims.

Chloe and Gabe are childhood friends, but they share a New Years kiss on fateful night. She is engaged to James, but never felt the feelings that she felt when Gabe kissed her. She is forced to examine her life and gets the steps to get control of her life.

She accepts a vet job on Gabe’s ranch and that sets everything in motion. Chloe feels alone since her friend, Ellie went missing and opens up to Gabe. She wants more and reaches out for more with Gabe.

Wonderful passionate scenes, suspense and a sneak peek of the next book I'm sure regarding Ellie and Chloe’s brother Zane.

Once again J. S. Scott has outdone herself. The love Gabe showed Chloe was surreal. They way the family stood strong for her was amazing. Can't wait for Zane and Ellie story.

Wow, after months of speculation for Chloe and Gabe's story, the eight book in The Billionaire's Obsession Series was finally all mine and I couldn't wait to meet the characters, however, this was a different and more serious approach from the Queen of Romance, J.S. Scott who introduces the reader into the life of sweet Chloe Colter.

Nothing could have prepared me to read some of the things she had to endured in her relationship to the man she thought was meant to be the one she would spend the rest of her life with. With some elements of abuse, we are privy to a glimpse into some of the terrifying things she has to go through at the hands of a cruel and evil man, her fiancé James.

A chance encounter with the sexy Gabe Walker, who has been a friend of the family for many years, put some things into perspective for Chloe and sets some of the wheels in motion to kick start a new stage in her life.

Gabe never expected to have the woman who has occupied most of his thoughts to finally be close to him, but never in a million years did he expect to know what she has suffered and how much this has affected her, emotionally & physically. He has to save her in more ways that one. Chloe has to learn to not only learn to flight an abuser for also fight her demons if she wants to have a chance to a happy life.

As always, J.S. Scott carries the story in such a passionate and tender way. We see the characters in a new light and how they develop as we read along. There were however some suspenseful twist that will make the reader hurry to read along and find out what happens next, and oh boy did she have me enthralled and entertained.

A complete page turner, Billionaire Unbound is another hit in a line of fascinating stories.

With a sexy Billionaire, a solid story line and plenty of steamy romance you must make this your next read!.

For me, J.S. Scott, is one of those authors that I never have to think twice about before buying one of her books, especially The Billionaire's Obsession series. This book was no exception, and as usual it grabbed me from the very first page. Gabriel Walker, the billionaire cowboy, is sexy, hot, protective and possessive. Chloe Colter, is a vet in her small hometown, but her passion is to work with horses. She also happens to be engaged to a man (and I use that term loosely) named James. He has beat Chloe down both verbally and physically almost the entire time she has known him. After sharing an unexpected kiss on New Year's Eve with her childhood friend Gabe, Chloe decides that she has to get away from James, and the sooner the better. James is not the type of man to not get his way, and when Chloe tries to break it off with him, Gabe has to step in to protect her. Gabe takes Chloe to his ranch, a place where she can not only get away from James, but she can be what her heart has always desired, an equine vet. For the first time in a long time Chloe is happy, but can her happiness last?
This is a must read for all romance lovers, as Chloe begins to understand that the problem with James, was not her fault. Also, Chloe has to learn that her family is there for her, they do not blame her, and will do whatever they need to do to protect her. This book revolves around domestic violence, and how it affects the person being abused, so be ready for a wild ride of emotions, not the least of which is anger, not toward Chloe, but towards James. Oh yeah, the way Gabe handles James, will give you a little bit of satisfaction, but the way Gabe handles Chloe will melt your heart.
Also, in this book we got a glimpse of Chloe's best friend Ellie, and I cannot wait to read more about her.
Five stars all the way for this book, another fantastic read by a truly great author.

This is, Chloe Colter's book, from The Billionaire Obsession series.
Chloe has always wanted to be an equine vet, after years of school she has returned home to Rocky Springs to be with her family and to make her dreams come true. Her family has no idea what Chloe has been dealing with, she's engaged to James and appearances on the outside look as though she is ready to marry him, but the truth is much darker.

Gabriel Walker, the Billionaire Cowboy, Chloe has known him sense they were kids. He could make Chloe shudder just with the sound of his voice. One night they share a passionate kiss that puts doubt in Chloe's mind of everything she's been told by her fiance James.

Be ready to experience a lot of emotions with this book, I felt heartsick for Chloe, James is physically and mentally abusive to her. Over time she begins to believe the things he tells her, she's fat, no one would want her but him. There were times I wanted to strangle James through the book, he is so mean and cruel to Chloe. I loved Gabe he tries so hard to make Chloe see how beautiful and amazing she is and he wants to be with her so badly.

This is such a good book, you will not be disappointed.

JS Scott absolutely delivered another heartwarming read.

This is the story of Chloe Colter (Tate’s sister), and Gabe Walker.

Chloe was trapped into an abusive relationship and psychologically brainwashed by her sociopathic fiancé James.

At a New Year’s Eve party a kiss between Chloe and Gabe changed everything.

With the help of her sister-in-law Lara (Tate’s wife) she started a productive therapy with a psychologist Natalie a counselor and found the courage to get out of this destructive relationship.

Gabe offered Chloe a job at his horse ranch and started to show her everyday how to be truly loved. Their passion and love emerged and the passion between them burnt HOT.

Beautiful love story with some hot sex scenes thrown into the mix. I love the dominating, loving, and possessive nature of all JS Scott’s hot alpha-males.

I freaking love this series and can’t wait to read Zane & Ellie’s story!

JS Scott has done it once again!

This book sparked several emotions. It's sad to know that many women go through this on a daily basis and people around them probably don't even know. The flow of the story is wonderful and I read it in no time.

If you are familiar with this series then you know how wonderful it is. This book is towards the top, if not the best in the series so far and that is saying a bunch.

Chloe Colter is back in Colorado Springs with her fiancé, and looking to settle as an equine vet. But being surrounded by friends and family, she suddenly notices that the relationship she has had with her fiancé over several years now is not what she should be expecting from life. He doesn't treat her well, critisizes her figure, and dictates her life.

And since that slightly drunken kiss with fellow billionaire Gabriel Walker on New Year's Eve, she is slowly starting to wonder whether she should exit that vicious cycle she is currently in...

What I loved about this book:

Not much to point out...

What I felt needed improvement:

The rather moot plot
The main characters' lack of determination
The rather cliché'd storyline

Billionaire Unbound is book number 8 in the Billionaire's Obsession series by J.S. Scott. I really liked this series so far given the fact that all books provide for a nice romantic and sexy read.  I was especially intrigued by Chloe's story, as she had already been featured in the previous book as someone who was being aggressively treated by her boyfriend.

However, I found this book a lot less exciting than the previous ones. I did like the fact that the author brought up the subject of mental & physical abuse, and emotional blackmail - which is definitely an important one that needs awareness-raising. But I definitely disliked the fact that Chloe seemed way too helpless in her relationship with her fiancé, and Gabe way too alpha-male/knight-in-shining-armor. It turned to a damsel-in-distress plot rather than seeing a tough-cookie-girl-manning-up type of story. Indeed, Chloe really must have suffered from Stockholm Syndrome, because no one would have put up with the way she was being treated by her fiancé throughout several years.

I also had to look at this story from a realistic standpoint, and found that the domestic abuse issue here was kind of moot. Chloe's family (and support group) consisted of helicopter-flying dirty-rich senators/scientists/CIA agents, which is so far removed from "usual" domestic abuse cases it hurts. Sorry, pun not intended. Because well, I doubt a typical housewife and victim of abuse has such a support system at hand, which can automatically roll out a huge search party for her as soon as she is missing. So obviously, the domestic abuse side of the story was an easy one to deal with here.

And last but not least, I felt the story was too flat. There wasn't really a secondary intrigue (at least not one that isn't a sneak peak into the next book)  and the main intrigue is being resolved way to mo quickly and easily to my taste...

It was still a quick and nice read (with some nice sexual tension and steamy scenes) but overall it was unfortunately lower quality than the rest of the books, which was a bit of a disappointment...

Even though this was a simple, light read... it really discussed a really important thing.. which is abuse and how it can distroy lives and lives just because of some really sick abusers who don't care about any one or any thing at all.
The heroin was being abused and hurt by her boy friend but she was so innocent and scared to tell any one.
And honestly I don't agree with hiding thing like this at all. No matter what the case,
But thanks to the brave, loving hero who was with her and helped her to find her way.
In addition to her counselor definitely.
The girl was broken but every one around her was giving her all the strength she needed after she made the best decision to open up.
And then comes love.. which fixed so much in her life.
The plot was great and I really injoyed the subject of the book more than anything else.
And here is a quote from the book:
Thinking back about the times she didn’t feel ready for anything, and about how confused she’d been, she was grateful that she could now say that she was ready to start a new life, one free from fear and sadness.. She’d been given a gift, and she was going to seize it.. Sadness, fear, and heartache were her old life.

Billionaire Unbound by JS Scott
5*

I have been so eager for Chloe's story since Billionaire Untamed and I'm so pleased to say that JS Scott absolutely delivered an outstanding read.

Chloe is working to extricate herself from an abusive relationship and eventually ends up working for Gabe. There is a definite spark between these two and I really enjoyed the slow build to their romance. Chloe is understandably hesitant and I think the way the author treated that situation with utmost respect was spot-on. Gabe was just perfection personified and I swear, I could hear him talk to me with that delicious drawl. I think I have officially found my billionaire boyfriend in Gabe and I think he's here to stay.

I really loved this book as I have done the whole series. I particularly enjoyed the elements of intrigue and loved that both Chloe and Gabe are billionaires! I think Zane's book will be next and I'm intrigued to say the least!

*arc received in exchange for honest review.

This book does contain profanity, abuse and sex scenes so it isn't for everyone. Chloe was engaged to James and he was an abusive boyfriend. Chloe's brothers best friend, Gabe Walker had his eye on Chloe and he didn't like James. This story is about having the strength to get out of a bad relationship and move on. I am not giving away the story but you will love it. It's another great book by Jan and I can hardly wait for Zane's story.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally the book of Chloe !! From some times we have glimpses of Chloe and her awful fiancé (the pseudo karate lessons in Tate's book ...), I was eager to see what it really was !!
It was horrible but I really appreciated how the ordeal of Chloe is described ... Awful but very realistic about the way a poisonous relationship works (very insidious and especially it is very difficult to get out of this kind of relationship)
I loved seeing Chloe rebuild herself, seeing Gabe helping and supporting her ... And I need the book with Zane !!
PS: personally if I have been one of the Colter brothers, James' body would never have been found ><
Chloe Colter is not your typical billionaire. She isn't model thin, she doesn't wear designer clothes, and she enjoys working with her animals at the Veterinary Clinic where she is the newest vet. Problem with all of this, is that her fiancee James is disgusted with her. She's too fat, she wears clothes that aren't trendy or in style (or, in his opinion, fit well), and she smells like her patients.
When Gabe, Chloe's older brother's best friend catches her crying at a New Year's party over another insult that James had thrown her way, Gabe tries to convince Chloe to leave James. Then he kisses her.
Cut to six months later. Chloe is ready to leave James. His emotional abuse has just gotten to be too much. But leaving him isn't as easy as Chloe would have thought. James isn't eager to let his meal ticket go. Despite his clear animosity toward her, her clout and name in the community can bring him the fame and recognition as the town doctor he thinks he deserves.
After talking to her sister in law Lara, and a therapist online, Chloe is ready to leave, and is content with the fact that she may be alone for the rest of her life, because like James' says, who would want a cow like her?
Once Chloe tells James that she will not marry her, his reaction is cold. He keeps insisting that she will marry him. He starts following her everywhere. When Gabe offers Chloe a job on his ranch tending to his horses, she jumps at the chance. Not only will she be working with horses, animals that she loves, but she'll be closer to Gabe.
Chloe has had such a bad role model as to what a good boyfriend is, she isn't sure why Gabe kissed her New Years Eve, and she's not sure why he can't stop looking at her, and telling her that she's perfect, and beautiful.
When the pair finally give in to their baser urges, Chloe reasons that Gabe will tire of her, so she keeps her feelings close to her heart, because she doesn't want to get hurt again.
When James steps up his abuse, sending her a disk of some horrible video from their life together, that he will upload to the internet and ruin her and her family's reputation, Chloe leaves Gabe and goes back to James. When Gabe finds out what sent Chloe back, he brings in her family to rescue her, and finally reveal his true feelings.
While the romance between Chloe and Gabe was beyond hot, I wasn't sure how bad Chloe's abuse at the hands of James actually was, since besides his hurtful comments, most everything was glossed over. Even the video that James sent Chloe was made light of. At least until Gabe saw it, and it was revealed that James was anally raping a screaming, crying Chloe.
I think I would have believed Chloe's abuse more if the author had actually talked about it more, but it was glossed over. Emotional and mental abuse is still abuse, but the way it was written, it made James seem like someone who was only into Chloe for her money, and really didn't like her at all.
Also, the side story of having Chloe's best friend Ellie go missing was bizarre, and the man who was behind her disappearance was predictable. It also leads into the next book in the series.But Chloe and Gabe's story is over, with a HEA that was sweet.
I was so happy when I saw this book was releasing...I LOVE J. S. Scott, I haven't read a book of hers yet that I have not liked in some way. This book I honestly had a hard time putting it down, I literally picked it up an started it this morning and I have been reading it off and on all day.
Chloe goes through so much in this book...more than anyone should have to ever. Her ex is a psycho who is abusive to her, and using her for her status and wealth. Then her best friend disappears...SMH she deserves her HEA with everything she went through.
Gabe...he was an amazing hero in this story, he was so in love with Chloe before she hand and he never once lost sight of that fact. He loved her through the worst of her times and continued to love her afterwards.
We were basically set up for the next book with the Epilogue...or at least it had better be Zane's book because she left us hanging at the end of this book...I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!
I recommend starting with book 1 in the series before delving into this book...though you really don't need to but the characters will make more sense if you do.
I liked this story. Glad Chloe overcame the abuse and found Gabe and I'm glad he didn't give up on her. What pissed me off is, I know it's not always easy to tell an abuse victim to just leave but still, Chloe has brothers who are special ops, senator, a mad scientist and a damn special agent, she's a billionaire. Do you mean to tell me she couldn't use ANY of those means to get rid of or away from James? The man had NO power over her, she was letting him have the upper hand. Also they video, if the woman had just told her brothers what was going on but don't show them the video like what Gabe did, all of this could have been avoided. I mean, look how easy they got rid of the video and handled him. Pls Lara (Tate's wife) was ex FBI, she could have also find means to get information on where Ellie is out of James before he killed himself too. If this was a poor person I wouldn't feel so angry, but Chloe had the MEANS!!! For crying out loud even half her friends and family are working with the abused charity . But I'm glad in the end she found her freedom and Salvation in Gabe. He was so hot and sweet. Now to patiently wait until Zane finds Ellie so we can have their story.
