Bought this book from the author at Emerald City Comic Con. Fun fantasy read! Great summer beach or poolside book. Kudos to the author!

Many people will think a 4 is generous but I can see a bright future for this story and its author. When you consider Izzy was 12 at the time she wrote this, and that it was edited to keep her voice and develop it, the storyboard is not bad at all. The story is meant to be a series if my gut instincts are correct, and it can certainly remain a cliffhanger if necessary. I'd like to read more Runecaster books from this young aspiring writer and see her build her own style and define her own storytelling magic. I really enjoyed the story and hope she makes this a series! Could use a little polishing, but that is something that comes with time and practice. Well done for a 13 year old author!
