I grabbed this book as soon as I saw that it had been published. I’ve read everything available by D. J. Heart except the puppy books. I actually bought it as well, but haven’t read it yet. I just love these stories. It’s funny that I cringe at books that are four hundred pages long, but complain that D. J.’s book is only 670 pages.

Anyway, Warren finds his happily ever after in the arms of two werewolves and one vampire. There are lots of fun and exciting times along the way. I read in D. J.’s newsletter that the next book featuring Joey will be out soon. That isn’t nearly soon enough for me.

Kinda long for an erotica book, but the sex scenes were kinky and hot so it was worth it, this is personal taste but I liked it more when it was MarcusxMax or MarcusxHarland than Warren and anyone else, I would love for D.J. heart to write a book about two tops alphas that love wrestling each other and are evenly matched were the loser has to bottom and at the beginning neither like bottoming but warm up to it, I really hope DJ heart some day writes a book exclusively about it without an omega

So this is actually D.J. Heart's greatest work yet. Which, I know, the man writes extremely kinky gay eroticas and this one was no different, but there's actually some really great character work, humor, and world-building that I've never seen from D.J. before.

I absolutely loved Max as a character. If you've read a D.J. Heart book before, you will recognize the DJH archetype he fits - the alpha top that dominates the omega/human/submissive, but is also submissive to the other alpha(s), either being vers or just generally less dominant than the other alpha(s). But what was really fun about Max was that he was raised human and not as a werewolf, so he's able to defy his instincts to submit. It makes for repeatedly hilarious scenes when the very dominant alpha Marcus meets Max and is just baffled by Max's ability to defy him. It made Marcus and Harland more likeable than many of DJH's other alphas (even the others that also value consent) because not only do they respect Warren's boundaries (mostly, at least - it is a DJH book after all), they also respect Max's and don't "put him in his place" within the werewolf pecking order.

It's toward the back half of the book that you get into some interesting world-building and character introductions. DJH definitely expanded the fantasy elements in a way I haven't seen him do before! This honestly seemed like part 1 of duology, so I very much hope that DJH comes out with another book about these guys. There's a lot more with Warren and the expanded fantasy elements to explore, as well as Max being able to further explore his missing familial connections. I at least hope DJH continues the series, even with a new set of guys, to finish exploring the fanatsy world!

Note: I find it hard to rate eroticas compared to other books so I generally don’t rate them at all but on the DJH scale this one would be 5/5

Sign me up

What I want to know is where I can sign up to be a vampire feeder because they all seem to get the best guys! Warren definitely does in this latest book by D.J. Heart as he gets not one, but THREE big hulky, hunky werewolves, one of whom is a vampire werewolf.
The best thing about this book for me was the smex scenes, which this author is particularly good at writing. I like that they are all so different from each other although having four characters to play around with (as it were lol) makes for more interesting possibilities. If I have any at all bad to say about this book it’s that it ends a bit abruptly. Not in any way a cliffhanger thank goodness, but I really wanted the story to continue. It is book two so maybe we will see more of these guy in subsequent books.

Another great book

I one-click all of DJ Hearts books. I Was so excited to see a new one out and over 600 pages....yummy. This one was about a college student trying to make some extra money feeding vampires. Warren, our college student, meets Harland, our vampire/werewolf, and Harlands mate, our touch of sunshine Max (werewolf in training). We also meet werewolf #3 Marcus, who is Alpha to a large pack. The way the relationship developed between these four men is delicious. Each brings a different dynamic that only enhances the story. They are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and kinky and full of passion and love for each other. We have some angst in the middle, but from outside forces that our guys take care of in quick order. I really loved this book. I highly recommend it. Enjoy!

Absolutely Amazing!

This book was everything we've come to expect from D.J. Heart - spicy, k!nky, and still sweet. I love seeing the evolving story of omega's in this world. If you haven't read book one in the series you'll be fine, it's almost a complete standalone. If you have (and really, you're only depriving yourself if you don't), you'll enjoy seeing some cameos of that grouping.

Fabulous!

I am so glad that I took the time to read Alpha Bait before I started reading this book. It sets the stage for this book perfectly without being a serial. I loved the way the Alphas worked with each other to keep Warren supported. Now that you mentioned the “Other” personality from FL, I hope you will tell us more!

This is very heavy on erotica and BDSM elements. If you don't enjoy reading that, you will not enjoy this book. However, if, like me, you find it interesting and you like fated mate type stories, then you will really enjoy this.

Another winner

Im addicted to these stories. I really hope for for another book soon. These stories are so unique to the sometimes repetitive omegaverse trope. This is a break for the standard and 👏 amazing with level 5🌶 & kink so read the TW.

amazing

I love this author’s style of writing, it flows so well. The characters are so easy to love for different reasons. I can’t wait for the next one, I hope we find out the mysterious Florida thing.
