I grabbed this book as soon as I saw that it had been published. I’ve read everything available by D. J. Heart except the puppy books. I actually bought it as well, but haven’t read it yet. I just love these stories. It’s funny that I cringe at books that are four hundred pages long, but complain that D. J.’s book is only 670 pages.

Anyway, Warren finds his happily ever after in the arms of two werewolves and one vampire. There are lots of fun and exciting times along the way. I read in D. J.’s newsletter that the next book featuring Joey will be out soon. That isn’t nearly soon enough for me.

Kinda long for an erotica book, but the sex scenes were kinky and hot so it was worth it, this is personal taste but I liked it more when it was MarcusxMax or MarcusxHarland than Warren and anyone else, I would love for D.J. heart to write a book about two tops alphas that love wrestling each other and are evenly matched were the loser has to bottom and at the beginning neither like bottoming but warm up to it, I really hope DJ heart some day writes a book exclusively about it without an omega

It's me and not the book. DJ Heart has now taught me that 4 people in a relationship is too crowded for my taste. 😭

I think this is my favorite book by this author so far. This one was fun!
So we have human Warren who is just living his life getting his education and he gets scented out by a bunch of werewolves and his life changes forever. We know Marcus from the previous book. He is the pack leader for the largest werewolf pack in North America (and brother to Steve from book 1). He is in town for a meeting, smells Warren at a coffee shop and asks him on a date. Things get interesting when Warren also meets Max and things get spicy from there. He meets Max at Harland's house. Who is Harland? Well he is a werewolf who was turned into a vampire over 200 years ago and he and Max are together. He pays for a service for a human to come and let him feed on them. Wellllll Warren has been paying for his schooling and supporting his sister by letting vampires feed on him.
So Warren and Max have a moment...just a casual 69 in a dressing room. And then he goes on his date with Marcus and Marcus smells Max on him. Could be dramatic but it goes back and forth with smells and mating marks left on Warren's neck and they all realize they are each other's mates when they actually like each other's scents. But who will be the more powerful alpha? Marcus or Harland. Plot twist...they call in a draw and actually really enjoy wrestling each other throughout the rest of the book.
Now it was mentioned on the side that there is some kind of unknow creature living down in Florida that kills werewolves as soon as they cross the border. So of course later in the book Warren and his sister go to Disney World (Warren mistakenly says Disneyland so the guys think he's safely tucked away in California). Well while they are on a ride they meet two guys who look EXACTLY like Max (who we know was adopted by humans and doesn't know where his origins come from). Of course Warren wants to know everything and it turns out that the government had broken their treaty with the werewolves and were trying to create genetically modified humans to be their own little powerful army. It went 'wrong' and they just created werewolves that were clones of each other. Five of Max I think it was and then a handful of other 'models' if you will haha. Warren tells Marcus who is obviously outraged and he sends in a helicopter to get them out to try to avoid this Florida unknown creature.
The helicopter is intercepted and told to land in Tampa where they interrogate Warren (causing him some harm). Marcus comes to the rescue with others and get all of them out but in the air on the way out he could feel the creature poking at him and it was really creepy.
They go about their lives, visit Alaska to meet Marcus' pack and we think they are in the clear BUT Warren is out Christmas shopping once he and Harland are back at home (Marcus and Max still in Alaska) and the creature literally POSESSES a bank teller in order to talk to Warren. It was SO CREEEEPPPYYYYY. Amazing. So 'she' teaches him how to access the bond link he has with all 3 of the guys and they can feel it and are of course freaking the fuck out.
This happened at the very end of the book so I really wasn't sure where it was going. We are kind of meant to think that Warren might be some kind of unknown being with the way 'she' kept talking about him but it seems that she was just helping him access his true potential as an omega. He 'feeds' on the energy of his alphas.
Hopefully the next book will give us more insight into this creature because I am INTRIGUED.

Anyway, long synopsis but I didn't want to forget any of that when the next book comes out. I really enjoyed this book.
Low angst
high spice
kink dynamics
great communication and consent
decent amount of story (really great towards the end)
It was a long book but it flew by and I wanted more at the end. Color me INTRIGUED.

So this is actually D.J. Heart's greatest work yet. Which, I know, the man writes extremely kinky gay eroticas and this one was no different, but there's actually some really great character work, humor, and world-building that I've never seen from D.J. before.

I absolutely loved Max as a character. If you've read a D.J. Heart book before, you will recognize the DJH archetype he fits - the alpha top that dominates the omega/human/submissive, but is also submissive to the other alpha(s), either being vers or just generally less dominant than the other alpha(s). But what was really fun about Max was that he was raised human and not as a werewolf, so he's able to defy his instincts to submit. It makes for repeatedly hilarious scenes when the very dominant alpha Marcus meets Max and is just baffled by Max's ability to defy him. It made Marcus and Harland more likeable than many of DJH's other alphas (even the others that also value consent) because not only do they respect Warren's boundaries (mostly, at least - it is a DJH book after all), they also respect Max's and don't "put him in his place" within the werewolf pecking order.

It's toward the back half of the book that you get into some interesting world-building and character introductions. DJH definitely expanded the fantasy elements in a way I haven't seen him do before! This honestly seemed like part 1 of duology, so I very much hope that DJH comes out with another book about these guys. There's a lot more with Warren and the expanded fantasy elements to explore, as well as Max being able to further explore his missing familial connections. I at least hope DJH continues the series, even with a new set of guys, to finish exploring the fanatsy world!

Note: I find it hard to rate eroticas compared to other books so I generally don’t rate them at all but on the DJH scale this one would be 5/5

I've always been biased to DJ Heart's books so giving this a 5 stars is basically the default option for me at this point.

Gotta say, this one was hard to get into at first which surprised me. I wasn't vibing with Warren, Max, and Harland for that matter. Marcus was okay, but I attributed that because I liked him in the first book. But that all changed when the four started to get together and Marcus and Harland got their heads out of their asses.
cuz let me tell you something

Harland and Marcus being total sugar daddy doms was an entirely out of this world experience. And Marcus going all Chris Redfield from Resident Evil... I was OBSESSED. I was screaming like a stan at my Kpop band concert. That. was. AN EXPERIENCE.
description

I could definitely confidently say that this book was as good as the first book.

Also, I read that Brock fucking Heeler is coming in the third book, and it's gonna be released later this year. I'm begging the universe it does come out this year. Cuz the only reason why I read this book in a month instead of a day was because I didn't want it to end so I kept putting it down after every few chapters. I just wanted to make it last, you know?

Sign me up

What I want to know is where I can sign up to be a vampire feeder because they all seem to get the best guys! Warren definitely does in this latest book by D.J. Heart as he gets not one, but THREE big hulky, hunky werewolves, one of whom is a vampire werewolf.
The best thing about this book for me was the smex scenes, which this author is particularly good at writing. I like that they are all so different from each other although having four characters to play around with (as it were lol) makes for more interesting possibilities. If I have any at all bad to say about this book it’s that it ends a bit abruptly. Not in any way a cliffhanger thank goodness, but I really wanted the story to continue. It is book two so maybe we will see more of these guy in subsequent books.

Another great book by this author. I love the super alpha men that feature in most of the their books, and this one is no exception.

Marcus is the top alpha leader in his territory. Harland is not only an alpha werewolf, but he is also a vampire. And Max is a werewolf who was raised by humans, so he hasn't learned all the traditions and customs that go with being a werewolf. Max was my favorite. It was funny when he did things that other werewolves would never do. He sure kept Marcus on his toes.

Warren was the lucky omega who got the undivided attention of these three men. Of course there were plenty of sex scenes, each one hotter than the last. The three men worshipped Warren and Warren loved every minute of it.

I was fascinated to learn about Max's background. I won't say more, but I look forward to reading more about his brothers.

Another great book

I one-click all of DJ Hearts books. I Was so excited to see a new one out and over 600 pages....yummy. This one was about a college student trying to make some extra money feeding vampires. Warren, our college student, meets Harland, our vampire/werewolf, and Harlands mate, our touch of sunshine Max (werewolf in training). We also meet werewolf #3 Marcus, who is Alpha to a large pack. The way the relationship developed between these four men is delicious. Each brings a different dynamic that only enhances the story. They are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and kinky and full of passion and love for each other. We have some angst in the middle, but from outside forces that our guys take care of in quick order. I really loved this book. I highly recommend it. Enjoy!

Absolutely Amazing!

This book was everything we've come to expect from D.J. Heart - spicy, k!nky, and still sweet. I love seeing the evolving story of omega's in this world. If you haven't read book one in the series you'll be fine, it's almost a complete standalone. If you have (and really, you're only depriving yourself if you don't), you'll enjoy seeing some cameos of that grouping.

Fabulous!

I am so glad that I took the time to read Alpha Bait before I started reading this book. It sets the stage for this book perfectly without being a serial. I loved the way the Alphas worked with each other to keep Warren supported. Now that you mentioned the “Other” personality from FL, I hope you will tell us more!

This is very heavy on erotica and BDSM elements. If you don't enjoy reading that, you will not enjoy this book. However, if, like me, you find it interesting and you like fated mate type stories, then you will really enjoy this.

This series of books are horrible. There's no real storyline The characters are not likable and all your focus on is just the NC sex. If you're interested in just sex unless thing this is the book for you if you're looking for real romance and storyline and character development then pass. I found this book untasteful and boring.

Awesome read

So good. I loved the relationship between Harland, Warren, Max , and Marcus. Even the relationship between Marcus and his brother was sweet. Also, it would be nice to get more insight into the other that was in Warren, or the omega feeding storyline. This was a 10 out of 10 in my book.

I was expecting so much from this latest DJ Heart, but unfortunately, it did not reach the same level as all their previous books.
I was ready for strong kink and BDSM and I got spanking, flogging and carry in a bag. Nothing as strong as in their other books.
Story lime is good but for me this was blah

Guess if your mates consent doesn’t need to be a thing. Love it when somebody tries to set a boundary and it’s just blown aside by another character. Most of this book felt really rapey. However Warren blowing his load at the leather store did it for me, should’ve stopped at the orange sized anal beads but I’ve lived and learned now.

Another winner

Im addicted to these stories. I really hope for for another book soon. These stories are so unique to the sometimes repetitive omegaverse trope. This is a break for the standard and 👏 amazing with level 5🌶 & kink so read the TW.

Weak quad. Warren was a stupid slut. Marcus and Hill were selfish and deceitful. Max was brainless. The sex didn't make up for the bad characters. DNF.
