After two decades as a journalist, B.E. Brouillard made the leap to fiction. It was time to create the dark stories that had lurked in her mind for all those years. Tortured souls, flawed lovers, dysfunctional behavior...her characters are not for the faint-hearted. Having said that, many readers will find common ground with the less-than-perfect heroes of these stories. In spite of a mild case of cynicism, Brouillard remains a staunch romantic - Happily-Ever-Afters are guaranteed.
A child of the global village, Ms. Brouillard loves Paris, Africa, sushi, and champagne. When she's not wordsmithing dark debauchery, she spends time with her beautiful men, their German Shepherds, and her pack of killer ponies. Or drinking martinis with friends.
Sable and Merric two characters with a lifetime of interactions, captivating reading and characters Sable was the person they called when one of the wolves needed repair, stitching or if there was more intense problems she had dealt with so many different injuries over the year and had simply continued to care for those in the pact and others that needed her help. When she finds herself faced with a feral hero that looks as though he has been looking after a man that is more beast than man, she has been caring for Merric for such a long time literally sitting outside the room and offering him any morale support she can as he is going through hell as he recovers. When he has recovered sufficiently he and his inner wolf decided that they were going to kidnap Sable and he had taken her into the place he knew the best and that was the wilderness and there he travelled with her and over time she brought back the man. His wolf had almost taken over his psyche and when he had been approached by Sable as he held her hostage, she actually was able to connect with the inner man and this had been how they had started a relationship and had eventually realised that they were in fact mates. This was a simply wonderful read and I guarantee that readers will be totally captivated by this wonderful pair, their relationship is simply captivating reading. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
This was a deeply emotional read and totally unexpected. Rafael's inner battle to keep his humanity against all odds will tug at your heartstrings as he fights to regain control of his magic and the music that is in his soul. He suffered so much in the Syndicate facility where he was held for years and he struggles with the lingering effects. His gentle love of music is in total contrast to the beast within. Sable sees the man inside when everyone else sees an uncontrollable, feral wolf and her instinct drives her determination to save him multiple times, even if it costs her everything. You will sigh when they both accept that they are fated mates and help comes from unexpected sources when they start to plan a future together. The danger hasn't disappeared, it is just being held at bay for the moment and I'm sure that we haven't seen the last of Sable and Rafael. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series and grateful that it's only weeks away.
A great addition to this series! This is quite an intriguing story that kept me turning the pages! Sable is a healer who has had a traumatic loss in the past. She’s taking care of a man that is more feral wolf than anything after being held in one of the Syndicate’s facilities for so long. I love watching how things play out. My heart went out to him for everything he’s had to go through! I’m so happy that Sable was such a wonderful person and never gave up! I loved watching things come back to him. This was a very enjoyable story and I hope we see more of this couple in the upcoming books! I definitely recommend this series! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
This book threw me for a loop as I expected a standard storyline and instead I read something that felt personal, and emotional; I read about two people who were connected deeply. I haven’t felt this emotionally invested for a while, and this made it such a compelling and heartfelt read. I really like how it ended, not wrapped up in a pretty little pink bow, but it ended on something real. It made me smile, because I know I will read about Sable and her wolf again. I hope they return with a bang!
Sable lost someone important once and she’s determined not to let that happen again but her obsession with the mysterious wolf under her care is more than duty towards a patient. Rafael is a wild card, he can’t control himself, his beast overriding his orders… there’s only one person his beast is inclined to listen to and he wants to prove to her that he’s not a hopeless case. Hot, angsty and full of feels, Rafael’s despair bleeds out of the pages and Sable’s determination to save him at the cost of losing everything is commendable.
“Taming the pack” is another fantastic addition to the “Dragonblood dynasty” series. The story is emotional, intense and full of heart as a broken, feral wolf learns to trust again.I loved the healing journey, the strong bond between the characters and the perfect mix of romance, action and pack loyalty. A captivating read that kept me hooked from beginning to the end. Can’t wait to read the next book.
Merric is more or less a lost cause as he has retreated into his wolf so far that it seems impossible that he would be able to stabilise as a human form. Sable has been treating the wolves that need her skills but even she is struggling with Merric. This series has followed through the dragons and wolves and it’s good to see that even this book twelve is fresh with a different twist to the storyline. I’m still enjoying each new book and I’m looking forward to where it goes next
Ooohhh this one was a rush, had my adrenaline and anxiety going that’s for sure and I have never hated Aurora more!! They were supposed to be the good guys!! I hope they still are, but Victors actions were out of line. I loved the couple and I hope they continue to make music. I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
I love the series, I hope to see more of Rafael and Sabel on the next book, I am so happy that he had found his music, I would like for him to meet with Dr Faith after he is whole again, that's a very moving story, can't wait to hear Decker story, great job author
Great story of inflicted trauma and one healers refusal to give up. The secret was to not contain or stop the sedatives. Both recover things they thought they would never have but the fight to get there is hard but well worth it. Enjoy!
This series is great. I have read all the books so far. Each story is different people but the overall plot remains. I love the books and the people created.
