Whew! This book is a punch in the gut, but is SO GOOD!!! It's an emotional, bleak and sometimes brutal read, but also an important one. This book tackles some VERY heavy subjects and is not a happy ending type of story, however is it written so well and the absolutely vile people/situations our main character has to endure are there for a reason and are integral to the storyline. Please check your triggers before reading! I can't wait to see what Izzy Von cooks up for us next!

SIX IS MY NAME is an amazing book, but it isn't a book that is meant to be “loved” as much as “survived.” The story starts as a brutal, tragic coming of age story, transitions into a brutal, tragic romance, and ends – well, it definitely ends. I've never found myself begging so desperately for an epilogue; it never arrives.

SIX IS MY NAME finds joy in innocence, love in acceptance, and catharsis in death. I can't recommend it highly enough…

…but you won't “love" it.
