Fated Destinies II #2

The Alpha's Heir

Rate this book
I had a plan:
Work hard, protect my family, and one day, take my destined role as the female Alpha of Cerberus Pack.

Everything changed the night a mysterious messenger showed up on my path, demanding a sacrifice to keep the gods from waking.

To save us all, I’m being forced to marry a human purist who hates me and still views my kind as mutants. Still, I could handle it. There wasn’t much I wouldn’t do to keep my family safe, but that was before I met him.

Roman is the frustratingly handsome human guard assigned to protect my intended husband and ensure our marriage commences.
And he’s my fated mate.

I swore an oath. It’s in my blood to do the right thing, no matter the consequences. Duty comes before love. I can’t let my pack and family down.

But my heart is breaking. My wolf is screaming. And the gods are watching—delighting in my cruel fate.
I’ve spent my life sacrificing my wants for the greater good, but even honorable wolves have a breaking point…

Each book in the Fated Destinies Volume Two series is a full-length, stand-alone novel told in dual POV where the main hero and heroine get their HEA. This steamy series, suitable for mature audiences, offers spice without sacrificing the plot. These books do end on a slight cliffhanger leading to the next couple’s story. All three books in the trilogy are best read in order for the overall arc. Scroll up now and start reading to find out how these fated destinies intertwine.

loved this book

Yet another great one from Heather K Carson. I loved the original series, and Fated Destinies II has been incredible so far. I can’t wait for the last book.

After book one, I thought this one surely couldn’t be as good. But, I completely fell for the male lead in this one, my heart breaking for him on more than one occasion. He was so entirely human. Very well developed as a character, and I felt the ups and downs with his story.

I found myself yelling at Meg, trying to give her advice, and wanting to give her a hug when she felt alone. She had so many challenges in the story, and kept getting up when she got knocked down.

I loved how the old characters made their appearances, like seeing old friends. And incorporating other authors and other books into the backdrop of this story, perfection. Seriously highlighted the references to find things to add to my ‘to be read’ stack.

This was another book I couldn’t put down, turning every page with a mixture of excitement and anticipation but also dread, knowing the ending was coming far too soon. I loved every twist and turn, the ones I saw coming and the ones I didn’t.

Someone needs to write faster, so I can see how the third sister’s tale plays out. I’m already spinning things in my mind trying to figure it out.

The Alpha's Heir is sooo good! I read this thing in one sitting, stayed up wayyy too late because I could not put it down.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Meg and Roman are such great main characters. She's a badass alpha heir and he's a good soldier who grew up with stories of heroes and duty. I loved how they navigate the arranged marriage and their fated mates situation. Her intended husband is kinda hilarious, in a way he does not intend 💅

In between the forbidden love, political scheming, danger and supernatural chaos, there's a lot of heart and humor.

I loved all the new supporting characters, and it was really cool getting to see this side of the human city and learn more about how everything really operates there. This whole story arc is completely bonkers in the best possible way, and the ending was FIRE 🔥

Great plot, great characters, great world building. You really can't go wrong with this trilogy.

This series - and volume one - is so much fun. I CANNOT WAIT for what I know is gonna be an epic conclusion. I absolutely love all of Heather K. Carson's books and this was no exception.

This is the 2nd book in the series and even though it’s a different sister it starts off right where book one ended. I would highly recommend reading in order they are interconnected stories.

Meg and Roman have one heck of a roller coaster met up and to be honest the ride doesn’t end till the end of the book. Meg is all Alpha wolf, but honestly she cares so much about helping others and she wears her heart on her sleeve to me. She’s strong, can fight, plan, but she worries a lot about pleasing others and not herself. Which was hard to read only bc it was so sad. Because Meg is phenomenal and smart. Roman sees all of this, but at the same time he also lets so much hold him back from taking control of his life.

What I loved most about this book is the character development (and of course the banter between the MFC and her wolf). So much changes in such a short span of time and these two take on the challenges even knowing change can be terrifying.

Good paced second book of the series

M/f
F/wolf M/human duel POV
4/5

Meg, alpha wolf, heir to the alpha (her aunt), struggling with no pack to lead under her Aunt who doesn't see her as an equal.

This book follows Meg, the 2nd sister in this series as she ventures to the Human city of Ethica to wed the son of the cities most respected councilwoman to hopefully keep the Gods from returning, in an arrangement between the humans and werewolves

Roman is the human best friend and guard of Justus, the counselwomans son, and fated mate to Meg.

The story follows Meg as she learns more about the humans and navigates the hidden and not so hidden prejudice between humans and werewolves, while struggling knowing she can't tell her mate who he is to her.

I can't wait for the next book!

Meg an alpha heir willing to give up her happiness for the good of everyone. Roman a good soldier who doesn't show emotion but is smart and loyal and dying for a better life for his soldiers and family on the inside. Together in The Alpha's Heir they make their own destiny. Heather takes us on a ride with her characters. We have the ups and downs in duty and following your heart with a little comedy thrown in from a loyal but one track minded wolf in Meg. 😆 I loved every moment of this book and look forward to the next book as she left us a crazy cliff hanger. Ha ha. Thank you again Heather for another amazing book!

Meg and Roman , Great Story!!

This is a fantastic story of Meg and Roman finding each other along with finding ALOT of unexpected events along the way !! So much in this book I did not see coming!! I love when a book keeps you steady reading because you can’t put it down and you don’t know what is going to happen next!! Meg and Roman have alot to get through before they can even begin to understand they may not be able to be together… I absolutely LOVED this book and I’m already needing book 3 with Alec in this series. I highly recommend this book and anything Heather Carson writes!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Meg has an arranged marriage to a human. A human who hates and fears her kind. She is willing to make the sacrifice to appease the gods until she meets her match, Justus. On the other hand, his guard Roman is her fated mate. Roman, like her, knows all about duty and honour. So, why can't he stop thinking about the beautiful shifter woman? Together, they must decide whether to be true to themselves or to let politics and duty prevail.

Fantastic Continuation

I've been following Heather's books for years and LOVE the Fated Destinies books! I love how the first series played on the saying "gods bless" or 'bless science" and we are seeing both come into play in new ways in this series. Getting little side "peeks" at the characters we already know and love is just another added bonus. Keep em coming Heather K Carson, we love what you are creating!

good

I like the fact that this book had a prologue to help the reader remember what happened in the previous book. I also like the fact that this book is a standalone and pretty much has an ending. There is a little bit of a cliffhanger because it goes into a little bit about the next book in the series. I will definitely read the next book in the series.

Listen. Heather is always leaving us on a cliff, I love her for it while I curse her for it, BUT that twist at the start! The gasp I gasped!

I loved this book so freaking much! I cannot wait to reread it soon.

Meg and her mate were everything! I cannot wait to read more. Oh and poor Alec, she is really about to go through it.

Heather, I love you and your stories!!!

Excellent as always. Maybe biased. So fun to hear my books are banned in the human cities :)
