Received as an ARC

5 stars (would honestly give it 10 if I could)

I was over the moon to be accepted to ARC read again for book 2! Ever since finishing Widowsbloom I have been longing to return to the comfort of Greyhollow, which welcomes us back in with its gloomy and foggy mysterious arms. I literally could not and didn't want to for that matter, put this book down!

We jump straight back into where book 1 left off, Rowan is now the chosen King and Elodie having successfully grown Widowsbloom is making him the tonic that is believed to keep the rot and curse at bay, and bide him some more time before it fully takes hold of his mind. Alongside Rowan, Elodie faces the challenge of her own fate, which is lingering unanswered in the air, will she stay or will she return to her old life and go home?

The bond between the characters is still very clear and so well written that their emotions and banter comes through the pages. The sense of loyalty, love and found family is as set in stone as their need to end the curse. We follow along as they portray the understanding of cherishing the small intimate moments and that time is not always a given and should be cherished. There is hidden twists and turns that in the end will have you wanting to throw the book across the room, I'm lucky I read this as an ebook otherwise a book would have been harmed! As annoyed and frustrated as I am with the cliffhanger ending, I still cannot wait to read book 3 and see what the hell is going to happen. Greyhollow calls to me in a way that I can't quite put my finger on, it is definitely one of my all time favourite reads.

And finally, as always I cannot leave a review without mentioning the OG, the one and only Pip! He is NOT A MUSHROOM! We get to see more of Pips character and he gets his own voice, though limited, I loved it and found it hilariously needed.

I was dying to indulge in another Greyhollow story, the second instalment of the series.

This series keep me plastered to my screen, i couldn’t put it away at times, but life happens, so we have to read around appointments, work, … 🫣

It was - one word - B R A V A
Such a strong build-up, the twist was somewhat expected, but good still!
I really loved when they went back “home” so Elodie could try and feel what she really wanted, without judgement, i really could feel those strong bonds within the friendships
Ofcourse she already sensed what she wanted, but she didn’t know - know at the time.
At that point she still hadn’t accepted that she wasn’t the girl from before she transported to the magic realm, she evolved 🌱

Absolutely adored Pip 🍄‍🟫 in book 1, but now, you made me cry, why Pip?
It was so fun that first interaction between pip & Kael when Bryn used her runes to give him a voice. I giggled
Cannot wait for book 3 to see if Pip makes THE reappearance everyone is rooting for!

There is banter, botanical magic, dark themed, romance, longing, everything one needs in one story.
Written in dual POV’s (Elodie and The Warden)

Fave quote from the book; “The way a few black marks pressed into a page can become an entire world, full of people you’ve never met but somehow still miss when the last page is turned.”
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

It is a true joy every time I’m able to open up a book written by E. Marszalek, and we embark on a journey back into the world of Greyhollow. Thank you so much for the ARC copy! Widowsbloom is one of my top reads for this year, and despite having very lofty expectations for this next instalment, I was blown away by just how good Everbloom is. There is magic woven into these pages, and they create the most awe-inspiring tapestry of found family, personal growth and belonging. I received an early ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, E. Marszalek for trusting me with your story.

𑁍 Greyhollow welcomes us back into its foggy and grey arms with ease. We are back in the gothic atmosphere that cradles us in the gentle rain and cloudy skies that are synonymous with this world. Greyhollow has found its way into my heart and soul, akin to vines winding their way along their path to the sunlight. Widowsbloom is a powerhouse of a book in its own right; It creates a sturdy and achingly beautiful foundation for this story to reach for the heavens and soar. Whilst Widowsbloom entwines rich world building with an overarching, high-stakes plot, Everbloom stokes the embers of the blaze set before it. Its beauty and charm exists in the landscape we have grown to love like an old friend, and the tender care in the quiet moments between found family.

𑁍 The plot is ever driven onward through the ticking sands of time, but we are encouraged to see the time we are afforded as the gift it is. We see many familiar faces we have grown to adore in the past book, but Everbloom gives us the present of truly getting to know them. The dialogue is well crafted and charming, and the antics these characters embark on are endearing. The balance of the pacing in this book is like dancing on a knife’s edge. We want to stay and have fun with our friends, but something dark and sinister exists just under the surface, demanding attention. Everbloom is a masterful concoction of joy and suspense. We are taken on an emotional roller-coaster, and I adored the highs and lost my mind at the lows, in the best way imaginable.

𑁍 Elodie still has my heart and I don’t want her to give it back. Gone is the girl that shrinks herself down for the benefit of others. She exists in her own space and will not minimise herself, or apologise for becoming stronger and demanding what should have always been given to her. She retains the softness that is integral to who Elodie is at her very core, but she no longer sees this gentleness as weakness, but as strength in one of its many forms. Rowan is still a top book boyfriend through and through. Knights hold the key to my heart and this high Warden (that is always what he will be to me), has unlocked the door for the flood of adoration from us readers that he so deserves. A protector through and through, master of self-flagellation and fluent in all things punitive (only ever aimed at himself). His yearning, his longing, his devotion is amplified in this book, to heart aching levels.

𑁍 Rowan and Elodie make sense in ways that only the inevitable can. We know the earth will keep turning, the tides will keep churning, and Elodie and Rowan will fall in love over and over again until the end of time. Their relationship is tested in this book and I felt every ounce of pain, elation and frustration they felt. These are two people doing what they think is right all in the name of love. There is beauty in their misguided attempts of protection and care.

𑁍 Everbloom is perfect for fans of gothic, fantastical worlds full of botanical magic, mysterious curses and portals to other worlds. Found family and home are themes deeply entrenched in Greyhollow’s halls. I adored every second of this, and I read this book in one day. Time melted around me as I got lost in E. Marszalek’s beautiful prose, before I knew I was swept away into this world, and I simply didn’t want to close the book and step away until I absolutely had to. Prepare your hearts for elation and anxiety in equal measure, as this is truly a wild, but fun ride.

It really is true when someone says that book two Is usually better than the first because I lost sleep while reading this one it was impossible to put down. It picks up right from the ending of book one and left no stone unturned. Its filled with so much, and it flowed so well. The author really out done herself with this one.

“𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕡𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕕 𝕣𝕠𝕠𝕥𝕤 𝕤𝕠 𝕕𝕖𝕖𝕡 𝕚𝕟 𝕞𝕪 𝕤𝕠𝕦𝕝 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕀 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕘𝕠 𝕒𝕟 𝕖𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕟𝕚𝕥𝕪 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕣𝕒𝕚𝕟 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕚𝕥 𝕨𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕤𝕥𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕓𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕀 𝕤𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕔𝕙 𝕗𝕠𝕣, 𝔼𝕝𝕠𝕕𝕚𝕖. 𝕄𝕪 𝕝𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕕𝕒𝕣𝕜. 𝕄𝕪 𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕤𝕠𝕟. 𝕀 𝕝𝕠𝕧𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦, ℍ𝕒𝕨𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕣𝕟𝕖,”

The MMC (Rowan) oh he is a fictional man I'm in love with after this one. The things he says is just so loving it was something! He really does go through it in this book. I can only hope he gets a happy ending in book two. Honestly Pip (the rustcap) stole alot of moments in this book, he's just so adorable. All of the characters are just so unique it was hard not to love them, especially the dynamic between Rowan and Kael.

“𝕋𝕙𝕒𝕥’𝕤 𝕚𝕥, 𝕘𝕠𝕠𝕕 𝕘𝕚𝕣𝕝, 𝕘𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕞𝕖 𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕪𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘, ℍ𝕒𝕨𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕣𝕟𝕖,”

Be prepared because the ending of this one is worse than the first and you'll be begging for book 3 sooner than you think. Everything about this book for me was just perfection and this series constantly reminds me why I love fantasy.

Thank you E. Marszalek for gifting me this E-ARC in exchange for my honest review!

ARC Review 🌿

Everbloom starts at a slower pace, giving us time to really get to know the characters and allowing the found family dynamic to develop more, naturally. We also get to explore more of Greyhollow, its traditions and the world surrounding it, which I really enjoyed.
The festival was such a lovely addition. I also really liked how heavily botanical magic and imagery are woven throughout the story. It gives Everbloom its own identity and makes the world feel different from a lot of the fantasy and romantasy I've read.
The Rites were another highlight, and this was definitely where the story started pulling me in more. And that ending?! 🔥 The final stretch was easily my favourite part. That cliffhanger absolutely did its job because, I genuinely want to know what happens next.
My only struggle was with the overall voice of the story, which at times felt a little younger than I personally prefer. This was especially noticeable alongside some of the darker, more gothic themes, where the contrast occasionally made it harder for me to fully connect with the overall tone.
Overall, Everbloom had a really interesting world, a unique botanical magic system and a fantastic final act. It didn't quite hit the mark for me throughout the entire story, but that ending left me very curious to see where the next book takes us. 🌿✨
Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC.

After that ending in Widowsbloom, I needed to know what came next, and Everbloom wastes no time taking us straight back into the aftermath of everything that happened.

Rowan has been chosen as King, while Elodie is doing everything she can to keep the rot and curse at bay by creating the Widowsbloom tonic. But with the gates finally unlocked, Elodie is faced with the question that's been hanging over her since book one. Does she return home to the life she thought she missed, or has Greyhollow become the place she truly belongs?

I absolutely loved that Elodie gets the chance to return home and really figure out what she wants without anyone influencing her decision. It made the themes of home, found family and belonging hit even harder, and those friendships felt so genuine throughout.

Rowan... what can I even say? His yearning, longing and unwavering devotion to Elodie is amazing.

If you're looking for a fantasy with gothic vibes, botanical magic, mysterious curses, portals to other worlds, found family, heart aching romance and a book boyfriend who will completely ruin your standards, then Everbloom needs to be on your TBR.

I had the pleasure of not only ARC reading Widowsbloom but also Everbloom, and I absolutely loved it!

This book took me on such an emotional journey—I laughed, I cried, and I felt every ounce of love, anger, and heartbreak alongside the characters. Without giving away any spoilers, the story picks up immediately where Widowsbloom left off. Rowan is now Greyhollow's King, and Elodie is faced with an impossible choice: embrace her new life or return to the one she left behind.

Both Rowan and Elodie face challenges throughout the story that keep you completely hooked, always wondering what will happen next.

Our favourite little Pip is back and bursting with personality, bringing so much charm to the story! And while I'm still frustrated by that cliffhanger, I cannot wait for Book 3. Take me back to Greyhollow already!

The characters share such a beautiful bond, and even the side characters feel like family. Their loyalty, love, and sense of belonging make the world feel so real and heartfelt.

E. Marszalek has created another captivating instalment, and I'm already counting down the days until I can return to Greyhollow.

Received an ARC from the author. And thank you so much for that, because

Reading Everbloom felt like coming home. This is a unique world and nothing like I’ve ever read or heard about before. It’s cozy, full of tension and most importantly FUNNY. I haven’t smiled this much at any other of the books I’ve read this year. The author has an amazing ability to write the dynamics between Elodie, Rowan and Kael like we’re seeing them live. That’s probably one of my favourite things about the Greyhollow series.

I don’t think Kael gets enough credit in this series, and I actually really hopes he gets his own book in the future.

And even though Elodie and Rowan are the romantic couple, they also have this awesome banter between them, and they’re a funny couple, which I haven’t read too much in other books.

I also love that we get to understand a little more about the magic system of this world. It’s not very fast paced but that makes it feel less rushed, and I love that about this book.

The Greyhollow series is definitely the perfect cosy, romantic autumn series for October!

Can’t wait for the next chapters in this series.

I was given the absolute honour and privilege to receive an ARC copy of this book, and I was completely blown away by it!

After reading E. Marszaleks debut novel earlier this year, I thoroughly enjoyed it and it left me wanting more. This sequel to Widowsbloom hit the mark entirely. 💛

I couldn’t put it down, and despite working 10 hour shifts, managed to devour it in 2 days. (I may have sacrificed a bit of sleep in order to keep reading…)
It gave me goosebumps, it broke my heart, it had me kicking my feet and grinning maniacally.

And that cliffhanger is gonna be haunting me for weeks! 🫣😫 Bring on book 3!! 😂

First time receiving a book as an ARC reader (thank you! ❤️), and wow, what a great place to start!

I loved the world of Greyhollow in Widowsbloom, but getting to see it develop even more in Everbloom was magical. I found myself falling even more in love with all of the characters in the second book, and their personalities all shone through brilliantly — especially Pip! (I need to find myself a little friend like Pip! 🍄)

The storyline was brilliant. The choices presented to the characters, the darkness lingering in the background, the devotion, the found family… it was just SO good! I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen in the next chapter as I was reading.

And the ending… WOW! This book is going to consume my thoughts for weeks, and I cannot wait to see what happens next!!

If you love romantasy, this definitely needs to be on your TBR! ✨

This series is one of my top reads for this year. I'm struggling with words to give this book the review it deserves, it was so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Elodie really comes into her own in this book, and realises how strong and capable she really is. Meanwhile, Rowan is fighting the kings curse the best he can, and refuses to allow Elodie to make her decision based on him. She finally makes her decision after a trip back home.

The ending is on par with the ending of Empire of Storms (IYKYK!). Book 3 can't come quick enough!

Thank you so much to the author for the ARC!
