"You're my thorn, if you leave me I'll bleed out."
i gate-kept this because i didn’t know if it was worth my time. what i can tell you about this book is:
⁀➷ it’s kinda wattpad-ish—the characters are 17 years old (almost 18), the setting is the classic one (USA), troubled families, bad boy etc. (you get it)
⁀➷ it’s very fast paced, easy to read, perfect to cure a slump
⁀➷ the drama is sooooo american high schooler but it works. it keeps you interested (or at least it did the trick with me)
⁀➷ the characters are likable, but sometimes they pissed me off so bad, they’re kinda childish sometimes?
⁀➷ if you don’t like none of what i just mentioned, then this book is NOT for you
i think this cured my slump a little—i needed something light, entertaining, easy to read, toxic and with drama, and this book delivered exactly that.

She was gorgeous, stunningly beautiful, but then so were a lot of girls. Looks were a lot of the hunt but they were never the catch. She was the catch. The whole package…”
"Noah Messina is all kinds of dark and dangerous, wrapped in the body of a sex god."
"How the hell did we get here?"
"Get where?"
Pressing his lips to my throat, Noah ran his tongue over my pulse. "To the point where I can't fucking breathe without you."
"Noah Messina, you are treacherous," I whispered before crushing my mouth to his.”
“Teagan called me treacherous but she was the one who could shake mountains.”
