This novel is a fast-paced modern vampire romantasy that combines supernatural warfare, dark magic, romance, and explicit adult content into an addictive, enjoyable read.
Set within the fortress of Ravengarde, the novel follows Luka, a newly elevated vampire heir, and Claire, the human woman bonded to him, as they face a terrifying siege from a feral vampire army commanded by the witch Circe and the sinister Ferengar.
One of the novel’s greatest strengths is its momentum.
The siege structure gives the narrative constant urgency, while the tactical approach to warfare and supernatural defence helps the book stand apart from more conventional vampire romances.
The characters are engaging and easy to invest in.
Luka’s struggle with power, duty, and identity gives the story emotional weight, while Claire provides warmth, intelligence, and grounding.
Diego’s transition from vampire hunter to uneasy ally is interesting, adding moral complexity and some of the book’s strongest dialogue.
Cassandra also stands out as charismatic, dangerous, and flirtatious, bringing humour and sexual tension into darker moments.
The chemistry between characters feels natural, especially during intimate scenes, which are explicit, passionate, and aimed at adult romantasy readers.
The prose can become repetitive at times, in emotional reactions, descriptive phrasing, and sentence structure.
The frequent perspective shifts occasionally interrupt momentum, and certain dialogue exchanges lean toward melodrama or over-explanation.

the third book in the series. Jade Christy does an amazing job with this book and series. It is well written with great characters.The plot has danger, risks, and war. This book has intrigue, secrets, and passion.
Luka is the heir of Ravengard which makes him their protector, and leader. There is a dark force that wants the destruction of every vampire .The ferals are surrounding the castle, waiting to attack.
Luka has been entrusted with a deep, hidden secret about the Original Blood. Claire is in the middle of this war alongside everyone. She is a great strategist since she read the books that Cassandra gave her . Maximus defers to Claire when it comes to figuring out how to end the war, and she does just that. Luka finally understands that wards will not respond if he has doubts.
Both witches were not very observant when Clara set the ruses that took them both out. There are boundaries to cross, and alliances that will break. Once again so many questions such as will they survive this battle? I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book!.

The characters were very complex and compelling and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Another great addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Book 3 of Vampire of Montenegro is action packed, very suspenseful.
Luka is now the leader, protector and heir of Ravengarde.
Claire is right by his side.
The Dark force wants destruction of all Vampires. New allies are made, new threats arrive, and Luka and his Vampires and new allies must fight to save all Vampires.
Lots of twists that kept me turning the pages.
I highly recommend this book and this series.
Jade does not disappoint.

This is book three and continues where the second left off. In this one Ravengarde is under attack and everyone teams up to guard Ravengarde. A powerful witch tries to take Ravengarde because of a secret that lies within the castle that could end lives. Luka discovers more about himself and also takes on more responsibility. Also in the story we get to continue to see the relationship between Luka and Claire. Also with other side characters. Another great addition to the series.

Turning the Tides
Attacks on Ravengarde are relentless as feral vampires are being controlled by dark witches. Even as the tides have turned back, the mastermind behind it all lurks in the shadows. This has definitely enticed my interest further into the story, especially with that cliffhanger.

I read the previous two books and REALLY REALLY wanted to get into this series, but once I noticed the writing becoming more flat, I began to struggle to pick the book up. I love the premise & the characters of the series, but I just need more thoughtful dialogue & imagery. The Vampire of Montenegro series is just sadly too repetitive for me & I desperately wanted it to have more depth.

This was amazing. Packed with action and chaos. Alliance’s forming. Things are really shifting. I’m loving the direction this is heading in. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. This was so good, I couldn’t put this down. The story is really starting to get intense.

Magic, alliances, and Vampire War. The third book of the Vampire of Montenegro was full of action, misdirection, and strategy. A book I finished in hours for want to know what came next, I can absolutely say I'm excited for more.
