Frying pan, meet fire! Everything on this alien planet's out to kill me. My delicious alien barbarian, Vektal? He thinks I'm his mate. Which wouldn't be a bad thing, except that I don't plan on staying on this ice planet. But I can't tell him that, because I need him, and not just for survival.
And okay, maybe being an alien barbarian's love-bunny isn't the worst thing in the world, but can I convince him to save my friends? Or am I too late?
Ruby Dixon is an author of Science Fiction Romance. She likes fated mates, baby-filled epilogues, and cinnamon roll heroes. She also likes to write biographies of herself in the third person, because it feels more important that way.
Ruby also loves coffee and dirty books and will probably be a cat lady at some point. :)
Note to self: Marking this as read for my readers challenge. I just did a re-read of Having The Barbarians Baby, I already read it this year so it took it off my book count for this year when I re-read it.
WOWZA! I love it! Lost is the third installment in the amazing new serial, Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon and it totally rocked my world! This is my first time reading anything written by Dixon and it won't be my last. I am definitely a fan! If you love science fiction, alien adventure and scorching hot romance, then you will love, love, love this series. The story is exciting, original, compelling, thrilling, enticing, suspenseful, romantic, seductive, arousing and sensual. The dialogue is smart, sassy, well written and flows effortlessly. The characters are imaginative, captivating, engaging, sexy and at times, laugh out loud funny. When you put all this together, you get one heck of a great read! Sexy blue alien-check! Beautiful sassy earth woman-check! Alien Ice Planet-check! Evil malevolent aliens-check! Danger, alien abduction, adventure, drama, humor and a little snark-check! Romance and steamy alien sexy-you betcha! Oh my! Buckle up my lovelies! It's one hell of a great ride! Oh my! This series just gets better and better! I can hardly wait for Part Four! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
Ms. Dixon continues to drag me deeper into her world. Filled with strange beasts, danger around every corner, and new survival skills to learn. Engaging and fascinating, you’ll be turning the pages swiftly. Georgie and her Vektal are working together to communicate.
With the very real threat to her crew, she’s desperate to get back to the mountain and rescue them. That drive places her in the direct line of danger. Thankfully she has Vektal to respond to her.
So, I read The Alien's Mail-Order Bride by this author, and whereas I didn't much care for alien porn (it was my first experience), I was definitely curious about that spur. So, I decided to give the series that the novella was connected to, Ice Planet Barbarians a shot.
I still can't get my head around the alien part. I can't imagine them. I can't find them sexy because I can't see them. And when I picture something, it isn't attractive. Her writing is pretty good, and her world building is tolerable. The translation part needed some more plotting out, but the rest of the world was somewhat built. I could see the planet, just not the alien.
I said it before, I'll say it again. The fact that those spurs don't exist is also proof that intelligent design is bullshit.
Too much plot, not enough smut. Alien porn not my thing.
A SciFi Alien Serial Romance by Ruby Dixon is good. Not sure what to say but Sci Fi, blue alien erotica. Apparently, it is a thing and apparently, I like it. I am not sure how I stumbled upon Ruby and her books, but I love it and am rereading thewhole series and het other series.
Humans being abducted by aliens and badly mistreated only to find themselves crashed on an alien planet with other aliens. It makes for an interesting read where there are mates, language barriers, horned horney blue aliens and a severe lack of women. It is fun and witty and at times heartbreaking, but it is certainly something different and I now find myself strangely addicted.
It's the way Georgie was taking WAY too long to help the other girls, stop chasing that alien dick omg. (She's also just stupid, but I say that affectionately).
I did enjoy the authors take on the aliens... anatomy. Very clever lmao.
Damn...Viktal is so damn hot! They finally do the mating. I think though she still doesnt understand its full meaning. They still can't communicate well but are trying and can understand some things. He is willing to take her back to the mountain because its important to her to go and he finally gets that. Man...her alien barbarian does her good! HEHE. Now, she doesn't think she can get pregnant because she's human and hes an alien...uh lol she might be in for a surprise. So, they bond some more in this part and make love. He finally understands at the end of it what she was trying to tell him. He checks his traps to find one of her cell mates feet under the snow. He realizes there are more like Georgie. This is a great series so far. I love it. Author does a great job in developing her characters. Details of their surroundings are vivid but not over kill.
It just gets better as the story goes on? So, Vektal, finally knows why she so desperately wants to go to the mountain. The suspense continues so ready to see what happens on part three.
Oh boy,,that Georgie will not be deterred in getting back to those girls and if super hot sex is how she has to do it then so be it, she'll take one for the team. Go team Georgie!
