Hemmed in Blood was my first vampire novel, and as someone who typically reaches for thrillers, I wasn't sure what to expect. I ended up flying through it.
What surprised me most was how much I enjoyed the relationship between Hannah and Atticus. Their dynamic is layered, complicated, and constantly shifting, making it hard to predict where their story would go next. I found myself just as invested in their connection.
The story balances supernatural elements with a fast-paced thriller feel, and mystery which kept me turning the pages.
The ending definitely left me wanting more, and I'm excited to see where this story goes next.

This book was amazing. If I was not so busy I would have finished it in a day. I was half way done in one night. It was so well put together and made me want to stay reading. Highly recommend if you like a fast pace book. One the keeps you on your toes. If you also like one with a viruses and military. Would read it again. Loved it!

Suspense, being watched and hunted, vampires and sprinkle in sparks of romance I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I could not have predicted the ending and I wish there was more for Atticus and Hannah. I feel honored to have gotten this as an ARC. After finishing the book the rabbit on the front makes total sense!

This book was fantastic! I loved the different take on the modern vampire. The entire time reading I kept thinking ooo what’s gonna happen next. By the end, it had me begging for more! I can’t wait to see what Brooke comes up with next and I feel very honored to get to read this early.
