This had potential to be an amazing story. However the author wasn’t able to deliver. Very little world building is done so the politics and rituals described don’t make a lot of sense. Almost all of the setting makes it seem like this fantasy world doesn’t have modern day technology - it starts with a horse and carriage! The only time modern tech is mentioned is repeated mentions of cameras monitoring thing, so the first time I read “camera” I was really confused. The dialogue is trying too hard to be dramatic and instead comes across as confusing and juvenile. It’s disappointing because the potential is there but a really good developmental editor was badly needed before publication and the lack of one really shows.
I really liked this book but your really had to concentrate whilst reading as it was easy to get lost. In saying this I enjoyed it. There was nothing much about wolves this was a bit disappointing
