peace of mind, is the greatest gift you can give to yourself

Rate this book
This is Tim’s 42nd book and it is one of his best yet. Tim is one of the most creative, entertaining and thought-provoking self-help authors writing today. In this book he discusses what is probably one of the critical subjects in the lives of most people today – how to have inner peace and contentment while not losing the focus, passion and drive that are often so necessary for success and happiness today. One of Tim’s great qualities as a writer is how he can make a complicated and often difficult subject easy to understand and then apply the learning in ones life. This book is such an easy read that you might be lulled into thinking that achieving peace of mind might be an easy task. It is not, but Tim has a way of making the journey toward greater inner peace and harmony fun and enjoyable and he does not unload a bunch of psychological mumbo jumbo or new age philosophy. He just gives you just loads of practical tips and ideas on how to live a more balanced and peaceful life. You will love this book, it can change your life from one filled with stress, frustration, anxiety, fear and doubt to one of peace, joy, happiness and balance.

I don't really know how to rate a self-help book. I rarely read non-fiction, except for when I study. But this was a special gift from a friend during one of the darkest moments in my life, so even when I haven't started the book yet, it was already a solid 5 out of 5 for me. When I finished the book, my rating was still the same. I love how this wasn't "in your face". The musings and teachings inside were meant to make the reader think about their own personal situation, not to dictate what to feel or what not to. There were more than a handful of times that I found myself smiling or laughing, because I saw myself in what was being described. There were also several instances where I found myself nodding, because I saw what has happened to me in the words within the pages. I don't know if this will urge me to read more non-fiction, but I enjoyed this one :)
