Bobby had lusted after his best friend's mom for years. That was normal. She was a MILF. As far as most of the world was concerned, Olivia was a normal mom with a normal husband living a normal life. But Bobby found out Olivia secretly worked for an escort service in town. To every high school boy who knew of this escort service, it was believed to be a front for prostitution. Nobody knew for sure, or had any proof, but everybody "knew." Bobby waited until he was old enough to book a date and then pointed out Olivia's picture in an album of pictures of women available for a date. He told them he wanted her to escort him to the opera. On the appointed night he went to the meeting place and waited. What would she do when she found out her son's best friend was her date for the night? Would she actually go on the date with him? If she did, how would that go? And what about the rumors? Did she do that, too? He had to know. And then, there she was, coming to meet him, looking gorgeous and sophisticated. And his life was turned upside down.
This book was a disappointment. It has such a great premise, but the story doesn’t live up to the outline.
Olivia, a beautiful MILF, a husband who is absent, a son who’s a computer geek living at the margin, and a kid who doesn’t have much to offer except he’s infatuated with the MILF. There’s no story behind “the pursuit” - I think “seduction” is an overreach. There’s nothing to the non-sexual escorting service - those activities offer no potential conflicts nor cause any angst. The only intrigue comes from potential breeding/being bred, which seems to be played with foolishly.
