Secrets, Loyalty & Family
Speechless is the first word that comes to mind. I’m trying not to be angry, but I am.
Why do we keep so many secrets? Secrets always come to light eventually, but by the time they do, they’ve already torn down so many people. They’re like a ball of fire—once they explode, everyone in their path gets burned.
This book stirred up so many emotions. I had to take a breather before jumping into book two because whew… it was a lot.
I think most of us have experienced some kind of family secret. Some are worse than others, but no matter the size, secrets affect more than just the person keeping them. Sometimes people keep secrets out of selfishness. Other times, they truly believe they’re protecting the people they love. But regardless of the reason, the truth still hurts when it finally comes out.
I’m still in shock. I did not see that ending coming. My mouth literally dropped. It’s like the entire story exploded in the final moments, and I was left sitting there trying to process everything.
Now I understand why part of him felt so lost for so long. He sensed something was wrong. He knew there was a missing piece, but he couldn’t figure out what it was. Everyone dismissed him like he was being dramatic, but he wasn’t. He was feeling the weight of a truth that had been hidden from him all along.
Now I have to know what happened during those 13 years. What did those poor babies go through? I need answers!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five out of five stars. This author gave us everything. She left nothing on those pages. Baby, that pen worked pure magic.
Now, on to book two… because I have to know how this story ends.

Whew
We finally get Marcellus’ backstory and man is it heavy. I really feel for him bc he’s been through a hell of a lot. His cousin Tijah ain’t worth a damn. I love Uncle Clyde can’t nothing change my mind about him. Kelsius’ mouth been lethal since he was a child. Evie definitely got some scars that need to be healed that’s how her and Marcellus are alike. Lydia wrong for what she was doing when Jacob was getting sentenced smh. His life was changed forever during the night of homecoming and the night of that game. I love how all of his brothers learned sign language to help him talk to them. The fact that Marcellus got his name the way he did is crazy as hell. I’m happy Jacyn is out and doing ok but who knows for how long. Evie done finally decided to get Marcellus a chance then his past blows back into his life. Kenyan needs to be handled him & Pastor Gaven I don’t give a damn who pappy he is. You wrong for that cliffhanger he was just getting used to being with Evie then here comes a blast from the past and a huge reveal no one saw coming. You did that boo 5 stars ⭐️ as always

First, let me say that cliffhangers are the devil. This book is everything and something all at once. The whole family is bat s@#$ crazy. Marcellus, his brothers, brother/cousin, Mama, daddy, cousin, and uncle. Although Uncle Clyde is the most sane, he is thrown off as well.
Marcellus is undiagnosed beautifully. He is complicated, obsessive, violent, volatile, loving, brilliant, sexy, and caring. He loves his family and those in his circle. I also love how disciplined he is when it comes to sharing himself with someone. He is looking for the one his soul craves.
He found that in Meeya, but that situation was doomed from the start. Now 12 years later, he finds out that he is father to her twins. He thought that she was dead, just to discover that she is alive and married to Kenyan Garland who he hates. The Garland's have been a thorn in side forever.
Also, he has just opened himself up to Evie and now Meeya is back. Whew Chile what a mess! I can't wait until the next book drops. I am so invested and it is killing me to wait. Put pen to paper Ms. Krystal because you got me out here looking crazy 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Gotta Try The Next Book
I didn’t feel this book like the previous books. It wasn’t bad and gave why Marcellus became Marcellus. Of course there’s trauma, secrets and deceit as in the others. Getting to the end revealed some secrets and moves you know were done in revenge and spite. Is it just me who has a problem with women you don’t want the MMC to be with and it appears they’ll be put together. Well I didn’t feel Evie and swiped past her pages. Nope. Don’t want her with him. Doesn’t feel right. Just because she’s single and been fake stalking, crushing on him, no. He don’t owe her nothing. I’m not feeling his entitlement to her but don’t really want her…toxic. Now let this man get his kids and hopefully not try to save whats her face, cause you’ve been married to this clown for nearly twelve years. Nah!

Outstanding!!!
I don't know why they insist on playing with that man when they know how he gives it up. I had a feeling those where his twins and I bet his mama knew about it also. I feel so bad for Meeya, she's been through so much. I don't really know how to feel about Evie though. Is his heart going to be able to handle wanting two women. I think Marcellus just might be a little bit worse than Syn. I can't wait to see how this plays out.❤❤

The way I would’ve been hittin’ mfks in the throaaaakkkkk!!!! This is teeeeeewwwww much!!! Marcellus was way too agreeable for me in his younger years. His Mama and her friends would’ve gotten the business every time. They wouldn’t have gotten the opportunity to spit none of the nastiness, elders be damned. But I digress… imma just say I want him w/ Evie. Bye!!!

WHAT?!?
I can’t believe this book ended like this….my mouth is still on the floor!!! This book was too good and now I’m sitting here contemplating how fast I can try to convince Krystal to release part 2 lol. Marcellus finna tear everything up!!! Omggg I knew this book was gon take me thru it!!! 10/10 Highly recommend

MOUTH ON THE FLOOR!!
Trauma bonding, heartbreak, meddling adulterous parents, and undiagnosed mental health is what you are getting with this read. I loved the first part of this series, the spin off seems as if it's not going to let up either. I knew when they met him what was going on. I can't wait for the next installment.

wow!!!
Omg, ngl it took me a minute to process this book it was a lot going on all at once I had to go back and get me people straight but baby once I did it was good. The ending was a shock but kinda predictable if you paid attention the whole book. All I could say was wow, Marcellus is complicated but once you understand you understand.. I can’t wait for part 2
