Omggg! This was so good! Nayeli is literally the best young writer I have ever read! This book was amazing and I could easily connect with the characters. I see so much of my self in them. I totally recommend reading it! It’s soooo good!
Nayeli.. I cannot even start to put into words how much this book made me feel in a long time. Rose and Logan are the sweetest. Their meet cute at the block party was the sweetest ever and him falling in love with her when he didn’t even fully know her yet was so very well written. All the music references and show references. Specifically Gilmore girls references were my favs and then learning that Logan listens to Noah Freaking Kahan was absolutely hitting me hard and I love it. Logan being so sweet and genuine sparked up my love for romances again and trying to find my Logan Brown in our world. The boy who learns how to read you like a book, writes poetry for you, and can reassure you and love you like you’re the only good thing that has happened in life. And I also connect to Rose so so much; her hatred of being a burden to those she loves and cares about, wanting to put up a front of everything being fine and “oh no I’m okay” all the time, while also being the most hopeful romantic ever and I love her for that. I do want to work on the feeling like a burden thing like Rose because her personal growth throughout this book just shows if you work on something and have love and friendships that support you, then you can be strong enough to work on yourself and become more stable, confident and strong. All this to say Nayeli I connect to this book in a way that makes words seem insignificant and I love you so so much I’m so proud of you for getting this out there please continue to write your stories lovey the world needs them 💟💌🥹
I’m gonna keep this short so you can dive right into book, so…. annotation is basically a romcom/poetry lovers DREAM book, I fell in love with these characters, just as quickly as they fell in love with each other. I love how annotation is a chronic pain rep, I just already know so many people are gonna find so much comfort in this book. I thought I fell in love with annotation when I first arc read it but reading from the physical copy and being able to annotate my favorite quotes made me love it so much more. Nayeli‘s writing style is absolute perfection. It’s easy to the to read and understand and pulls you so deeply into the story you can forget life for just a second. If you’re thinking about finding a new romcom annotation IS IT!!!!

Where do I even start! This was the most cutest, sweetest, and touching book I’ve ever read!! Rose and Logan are the cutest couple. I loved how deeply Logan cared for Rose, even when he barely knew her he knew that she was gonna be his everything. And where do I even start for Rose? She’s the sweetest FMC I’ve ever read about! I loved how caring she was, and how she was always seeing the beauty in things. Omg and how they communicate through a POETRY book!? That is literally something out of a fairy tail!! I relate to these characters in so many ways. This book literally has my heart.💖 And I cannot even tell you how much I annotated this book, it literally looks like highlighters and pens threw up in it. The name for this book was literally perfect! I will forever love this book, and I definitely, 100% recommend you to read it!!
Annotation is a charming and dreamy YA coming of age story set in Portland, Oregon. With its poetic writing and popular references, Annotation follows Rose and Logan through their own lens of self discovery and first love. Rose, the FMM, has chronic illness/ pain which is rare to find within YA books and can bring comfort and a sense of belonging to those who may seek representation 💗
This is a wholesome and charming story written by and about a teen living with chronic pain. The main characters Rose and Logan meet through their shared love of poetry in Powell’s bookstore, Portland Oregon. We get more than a glimpse of what life is like for Rose who has to navigate the already bumpy teenage life along with a chronic condition. Rose is a reflection of the author who demonstrates inner strength and resilience. I look forward to watching the development of this young author.
I really enjoyed this book!! Nayeli is so young yet wrote so well for her debut novel, and I really liked it. Rose and Logan are both so relatable and realistic, and a really cute couple! The only thing I will say is the pacing was a little bit off for me, it was a little too fast paced in my opinion, that might just be me, and the fact I love slow burns tho! Anyways keep writing Nayeli!!
OMG THEY ARE SO CUTE, ALL THE REFERENCES. I READ IT ALL IN A DAY, IM ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED, I NEED MORE, I NEED A BOOK ON OWEN AND EVA OR JAMIE AND TALIA
