Jackson couldn't cut it in the pros, so he returned home defeated. Coaching Little League with his brother is the highlight of his weeks. In need of a distraction, he volunteers to be Mae's manny. Mae might deserve more than him, but he's done fighting the attraction he has for Mae.

I grew up among the citrus trees and salt air of Florida, where stories were as common as thunderstorms and family ties run deep.

Raised in a blue-collar family with roots stretching back to orange groves, I learned early on that resilience and heart were the cornerstones of any good life (and any good story). Summers were spent barefoot, climbing trees and riding bikes down dirt roads, while the grown-ups swapped stories over potluck dinners and folding chairs in the backyard.

Books were a constant escape and a secret dream. With a lineage full of storytellers, veterans, and caretakers, it was only natural that one day I would start weaving tales of love, strength, and second chances. Drawing on the quiet dignity of working-class life, and the romance tucked between everyday moments, I write stories that feel like home: warm, genuine, and always a little sun-kissed.

Though the name on the cover might belong to one, the voice behind the pen is shaped by many generations of grit, grace, and just a touch of Southern charm.

💚⚾️ARC Review⚾️💚

Thank you TC Lynndale and Erica Chestnutt for this ARC of Revised Beginnings‼️

I can’t even with this one! This single mom novella with a nanny who is also one of her sons baseball coaches, stopppp! This was the sweetest thing! This is my new favorite of all the Country Roads Novellas YET!

It was swoony, yet sweet and I love Jackson, Mae and her son David! The flow was beautiful and felt like the coziest hug, but also that date 🥵

If you haven’t read these novellas yet, they are the perfect quick easy reads full of heart and passion! Catch up before the next one is realized in June, and be on the look out for the “omnibus” coming out this month that contains the first 4 novellas 💚

Tropes:
💚Single Mom
⚾️Manny

Thank you T.C. Lynndale + Ericka Chestnutt for my copy of Revised Beginnings. 🤍 I received this book for review, all opinions are my own and given freely.

Revised Beginnings is the Country Roads novella for May! I’m loving that a new novella releases every month from these authors!

With tropes such as single mom x manny, and reverse age gap, this was a great kick off for my reading this month. The way Jackson jumped to help Mae was heartwarming. Jackson is the epitome of “if he wanted to, he would”. It was truly refreshing to read civil co-parenting and especially Mae’s ex rooting for Jackson and encouraging Mae to give him a chance.

Revised Beginnings releases 05/01.

Absolutely amazing! Each novella in this series just keeps getting better, and this one may just be my favorite! Mae and Jackson are so sweet and David is just the most adorable little matchmaker! I think I'm gonna need to find more manny MMC stories because this one has me hooked! A single mom and the manny? I'm definitely sold! I can't wait to see what they come up with next!

Cute little love story between a single mother and her manny aka baseball coach of her son. Both don’t know they have the hots for each other, until said son gives his baseball coach the final push to take his mom on a date. From there it’s a HEA.

Cute novella about an older mom who hires her son’s baseball coach to be his nanny for a few weeks and the forced proximity causes them to catch feelings. Great pacing and interesting characters. I read this in about 30 mins

As always, I was sucked into this novella and didn't want it to end. I absolutely loved Mae & Jackson. I love how everyone was rooting for these two, even Mae's ex. Jackson was all in, and I love that. Such a quick & easy read, and I'm excited for Junes novella
