Svůdné touhy, bohůmžel, nepřekvapily a nepřekonaly první knihu Svůdné schůzky. Musím říct, že jsem z Crewí série Erotika docela zklamaný. Buďto tam jsou sado/maso “prasárny” jako Příběh O a Justina, a nebo to jsou blbiny jako právě Svůdné touhy. Manara, který je někde mezi těmito extrémy, to pak už moc nevytrhne. Kniha Svůdné touhy je sborníkem krátkých povídek, které mají něco společného se sexem. Je tam sice pár zajímavých a vtipných povídek, ale většina jsou jen bezzubé skeče, často s velmi podivnou pointou. Vzrušujícího tam toho moc není. Povedená kresba je také spíše výjimkou.

'Tis the season to dig out anything vaguely festive accumulated over the course of the past 11 months by way of bundles and such. This one came with a batch of Eurocomics, The Incal and the like, and if those occasionally display slightly old-fashioned attitudes, it's as nothing to the contents of this anthology. I've never entirely got the whole 'sexy Christmas' bit – at best you get something like Santa Baby, or Girls Aloud's Not Tonight Santa, which to me still has far more of a Carry On vibe than much in the way of sensuality. And so it proves here, with the stories mostly featuring sex rather than being remotely sexy – though, as ever, it's a deeply subjective matter, so if you always secretly dreamed of the extreme BDSM version of I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus (and also – spoiler – having it end with the kids killing Santa) then this is your lucky day. Which said, half the rest aren't even that Christmassy, just C-list Eurosmut with a bit of tinsel in the background somewhere.

Ugh. Listen, I’m no prude. I knew this comic was erotica when I got it in a Humble Bundle. What’s upsetting is that this is a collection of the worst, most misogynistic claptrap I’ve seen in decades.

If you’re a straight male with the incel mentality of a 14 year old who is angry at women for not immediately dropping everything to serve you, maybe this collection will do something for you.

To add insult to injury, most of the artwork isn’t even that well-crafted.

Sorry to all my friends in advance who follow me and are about to see me sincerely reviewing an erotic comic anthology book I got from a Humble Bundle on Goodreads.

Anyway, though, Eros Gone Wild vol. 1 is an anthology of erotic stories that all surround Christmas in some way. The book is pretty short (about 79 pages in all), and each story is about 3-8 pages long. Sadly, most of these manage to be uncomfortable and unsexy, some dripping into straight-up problematic territories. The treatment of women in most of these stories leaves a lot to be desired as well. I was going to credit it with being from a bygone era, but this thing came out in 2010 originally.

I don't know. I think there are a lot of erotica comics that you can read over this. Sunstone, another book that might be on my shelf is a good example, if it's less about sex and more about how romance, self-discovery, and sex can come together in a really good and important way. Another book I'm currently reading, Twisted Love, may not be so erotic, but it definitely rocks out the anthology on love a lot better. Adding a star for one story I actually did like and some of the art being cool to look at, but, yeah, skip this one.

Kniha plná krátkých povídek různé kvality. U některých jsem měl dojem, že je snad autor spíchnul na rychlo. Jiné jsou zase krásné, promyšlené místy i vtipné. Pro milovníky komiksů je to určitě zajímavé početní.
