When her best friend suddenly moves in with her boyfriend, Aria is left with a last-minute replacement roommate: her friend’s older brother, Evan, whom she’s always found insufferably smug.
He’s neat, quiet, and an efficiency expert.
She’s messy, impulsive, and chaotic.
Unfortunately, both work remotely in the same small apartment.
What follows is a quiet war of pettiness, shared coffee grudges, and system notifications… that slowly turns into something else. As their rivalry heats up, Aria discovers Evan’s very particular tastes, her feet—and a side of herself she never knew existed. But when lines blur and secrets come out, will their newfound connection survive the chaos?

This romance is packed with witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and spice.

This is the kind of book that feels like rainy weekends, oversized hoodies, and staying up way too late for “just one more chapter.” It’s cozy, funny, awkward in the best way, and surprisingly sweet.

The story follows a messy, slightly chaotic FMC whose roommate moves out of their apartment, but not before setting her up with a new roommate… her brother. And he is the complete opposite of her. He’s organized, routine-driven, and has very obvious OCD tendencies, while she’s more of a “laundry chair counts as a closet” type of person. Their personalities clash constantly at first, but that’s what makes their chemistry so entertaining.

What I loved most was how natural their relationship felt. The banter was cute without trying too hard, and the slow burn between them had that warm, domestic feeling that makes cozy romances so addictive. Watching two completely different people slowly learn each other’s habits, boundaries, and little quirks made the romance feel genuine instead of rushed.

It’s not overly dramatic or heavy. It’s the perfect comfort read if you want something lighthearted, romantic, and easy to get lost in for a weekend. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves opposites attract, forced proximity, awkwardly adorable tension, and cozy romance vibes with characters that actually feel human.

I also want to give a huge thank you to the author, Mirael DuClaire, for allowing me to ARC read. It was such a fun and comforting read, and I’m really grateful I got the chance to experience these characters early. Cozy romances always feel like a warm cup of coffee and a blanket fort for the brain, and this book absolutely delivered that feeling. 💛

This is funny and interesting romance book. I really like their bickering. So if you look for some relaxing reading i definitely recommend. But be warned you will want your own Evan 😊
