I have a system for airports. Coffee, carbs, and a wall to put my back against. It's a good system.

It did not survive Heath.

He was two seats over on the last plane of the worst travel day of my life. Older, silver-foxed to an unreasonable degree, and looking at me like he had nowhere else to be. By landing I'd told him about every job I'd ever lost and my personal theory about sobbing widows. He laughed at all of it. The real kind, with the lines at the corners of his eyes and everything.

One thing led to another. It was the best night of my life.

And then I found out he was the father of my sister's groom.

Here's the thing about being me: I have a long and distinguished history of fleeing before things become something. But Heath is standing in my hotel room telling me this wasn't nothing, and somewhere between a plane over the Atlantic and a wedding reception dance floor, I think I may have done the one thing I've never managed.

I didn’t run.

Heath
I saw her in the airport before we boarded. Wild red curls, dragging her carry-on sideways like she'd given up on the wheels entirely. By the time we landed I knew she was the most interesting person I'd met in years. By the time I got her to my suite and held her while she cried about a travel day that would have broken most people, I knew she was more than that.

I've made one significant mistake in my life. I married a woman I didn't love, and I spent years paying for it. The only thing worth keeping from that marriage was my son. I raised Leo to be careful with his heart.

I am apparently less good at following my own advice.

She's the maid of honor. I'm the best man. Our family members are getting married. This is, by any reasonable measure, a complication.

I've never been less interested in being reasonable.

She ran from every almost until he gave her a reason to stay.

Clover survives bad days with coffee, carbs, and a chosen exit strategy. Then Heath takes the seat near hers on the worst travel day of her life, older and steady in a way that makes her feel seen before she’s ready for it. By the time they reach the island, one charged conversation feels impossible to dismiss.

Heath has spent years being careful, raising his son, building his life, and keeping his heart guarded. Clover is chaos in curls, too honest to be polished and too tender to be careless, and one night with her cuts through every rule he lived by. What should be temporary feels dangerously real.

Then the complication hits. She’s tied to the bride. He’s tied to the groom. The wedding weekend that brings them together also gives them every reason to be careful, but Clover’s instinct to run starts losing ground to the way Heath sees her. He doesn’t ask her to be quieter or less herself.

Clover moves from self-protective chaos into braver honesty, letting herself want Heath without fleeing the fallout. Heath shifts from guarded control into open certainty, pursuing her with care and a willingness to let life get complicated. Their connection begins with instant heat and deepens into something vulnerable, praise-heavy, and rooted in trust.

An ultra-steamy, age gap, forbidden, instalove romance with a silver fox billionaire, a curvy chaotic heroine, a wedding weekend one-night stand, and a family complication neither of them saw coming. It explores vulnerability, caretaking, desire, self-acceptance, emotional risk, and the kind of intimacy that makes running feel harder than staying. It’s about a woman who always left before things could matter, a man steady enough to meet her chaos without taming it, and a love that turns one reckless night into something brave, messy, and chosen.

The Elevator Pitch: A chaotic maid of honor meets a steady older man during the worst travel day of her life, and one charged night turns into a complication neither of them saw coming. When family ties pull them into the same wedding weekend, desire becomes something sharper than impulse and harder to dismiss. What begins as a reckless spark becomes a test of whether two guarded people can choose honesty before fear chooses for them.

Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥 Ultra-Steamy / Erotic Romance

I think there’s a genuine art to writing instalove romances that feel believable rather than ridiculous, and Kat absolutely nails it every time. Sure, there’s still a touch of fantasy involved, after all how many people meet a billionaire silver fox on a commercial flight, but somehow, she makes every beat feel warm, natural, and authentic. Unbeknownst to Heath and Clover, they’re both enroute to the same destination wedding: Clover as the maid of honor, Heath as best man. The bride and groom (Clover’s sister and Heath’s son) are themselves the product of a whirlwind romance, which feels like the perfect setup for what follows. From the moment Clover spots Heath sitting two seats over on the plane, she’s captivated by the handsome silver fox. I loved her fixation on the laugh lines around his eyes; there’s just something irresistible about a man who looks like he’s spent his life smiling. Clover herself is gloriously chaotic: a woman with absolutely no filter and a face incapable of hiding a single thought. Within minutes of chatting to Heath when the passenger between them steps away, she’s practically handed him her whole life story. Heath, meanwhile, is fascinated by this whirlwind of a woman who can’t seem to hold a job and whose stint as a court reporter has her convinced about the guilt and/or innocence of sobbing widows. Their banter sparkles from the very beginning, and the chemistry between them feels effortless. When a hotel mix-up becomes the final disaster in Clover’s trip from hell, Heath swoops in and offers to share his suite and you can probably guess the rest. What really elevates this book above so many instalove romances though, is the refreshing lack of unnecessary drama. Clover and Heath are honest about their feelings, neither of them wants to waste time playing games or pretending otherwise. There’s no tedious third-act breakup engineered purely to create some angst, and even their family members seem perfectly chill when it comes to their relationship. I was a little worried about the appearance of the bitter ex-wife (probably the only real cliché in the story), but even that was worth it purely for the satisfaction of watching Clover put her in her place. One other standout aspect for me was the relationship between Clover and her sister, Juniper, which felt loving, authentic, and wonderfully supportive. Overall, this is a funny, heartfelt, feel-good romance packed with charm, chemistry, and emotional sincerity. If you’re looking for a cozy romantic escape that will leave you with a smile, I wholeheartedly recommend this book.

Give In, the fourth installment in Kat Baxter’s Billionaire Cowboys series, is a thoroughly charming romance that pairs sharp humor with genuine emotional warmth. From its delightfully chaotic airport meet-cute to its irresistibly complicated wedding-weekend setup, the novel delivers the kind of sparkling, fast-moving chemistry that makes a contemporary love story feel effortless. Baxter has a confident command of tone, balancing wit and vulnerability in a way that keeps every scene engaging and every emotional turn believable.

What makes this book stand out is the dynamic between Clover and Heath. Their connection feels immediate without ever seeming shallow, and the dual perspectives allow both characters to emerge with depth, wit, and heart. Clover’s restless, self-protective energy plays beautifully against Heath’s steadier, deeply attentive presence, creating a romance that feels both playful and emotionally grounded. The age-gap element and family-wedding complication add just the right amount of tension, giving the relationship stakes while never overshadowing its tenderness.

Baxter’s reputation for writing romantic comedies with humor, warmth, and memorable characters is on full display here, and Give In is an especially satisfying example of that style. At just over 100 pages, the book embraces a brisk format without sacrificing character development or emotional payoff. Instead, it reads like a perfectly paced, feel-good escape—light on its feet, but never lightweight in its impact.

Overall, Give In is a glowing success: funny, romantic, emotionally sincere, and immensely readable. Readers who enjoy contemporary romance with strong voice, intergenerational appeal, and a satisfying blend of sweetness and tension will find a great deal to love here. It is an excellent addition to the Billionaire Cowboys series and a reminder that Kat Baxter knows exactly how to deliver a romance that leaves readers smiling long after the final page.

"Do you need something, baby girl?"

Give In is the fourth book in the Billionaire Cowboys series by Kat Baxter. I loved this story so much....just all of it. Clover Hill is a reluctant flyer but she has a system that works for her. She always arrives early, gets a coffee and treat and then sits at the gate with her back against the wall and settles herself. But her system is blown up when she is trying to get to the destination wedding of her sister Juniper. Heath West is catch his flight to the island for the destination wedding of his son Leo. He brought up Leo as a single parent when he got a date pregnant, did the right thing by marrying her, and then realized she did not want to be a mother and only married him for his money. He may have been paying for that mistake since but he also got the best thing out of it, Leo. Clover has settled into her window seat on the plane when she sees a very tall, big, and built older man settle into the aisle seat. There is something about him and she just keeps staring at him. Heath catches her staring and he checks her out also. What they do not know is just how they will become involved and what that will mean at the wedding.
I really loved this book. The story made me laugh, wince, swoon, and fall in love with the little bit wacky Clover and the smexy silver fox Heath.
This story also ties into two other books, Doctor's Orders and Awaken My Heart but it is a standalone read.

Clover is having the travel day from heck. Her usual way that she handles things like this was a no go. She meets Heath, who is a silver fox. They talk to each other and it is hilarious at first. She is on the plain to get to her sister, Juniper’s wedding. Heath is a land man. She tells him some of the jobs that she is done. Upon their arrival at the island, and the hotel, things get worse, but Heath offers Clover his extra room in his suite. Neither realizes that they are there for the same wedding. She is the sister of the bride and maid of honor. While he is the father of the groom. He is worried about his son and him getting married so quickly. He is worried that the bride is a gold digger. We find out a lot of things. Heath & Clover are extremely attracted to each other and they admit things and things happen that get romantic, hot and steamy quickly.

Once they find out who they are to each other, Clover freaks a bit. However, Heath is all in and is in love with her. We get to meet Heath’s brothers and their wives. We also get to meet Heath’s ex who is a piece of work. I love how Juniper handles everything. Leo, Heath’s son, takes a bit longer to stop freaking out, which is hilarious. I loved the ending.

Love from the Air to Land -
Clover was drawn to Heath from the moment she laid eyes on him during their flight and she felt like all her Christmases had come together at the same time when he invited her to his suite when they arrived at the hotel. Heath felt an inexplicable connection with Clover that he had never felt before, which he decided to take a chance to explore. However, neither Clover nor Heath knew their connection was more than just the two of them, so they tried to keep their dalliance under wraps to ensure the wedding wasn’t disrupted.

Unfortunately, Heath’s ex-wife tried to cause wreak havoc on the event, but Clover immediately put a stop to her shenanigans. Nevertheless, the bride and groom didn’t get upset when they discovered Clover and Heath’s relationship or the incident with his ex-wife, which gave them the opportunity to finally acknowledge their feelings for each other and go on to build a life together. I really enjoyed reading this beautifully written short romance story with a bit of spice, that took me away from the real world for a few hours. A definite must read book.

Give In by Kat Baxter is the fourth title in the author's Billionaire Cowboys series and was a thoroughly entertaining read.
As a short, small town, age gap, instalove romance it is ideal for an afternoon escape when you need something steamy.
The plot and storyline was well written and engaging especially with the main characters of Clover, the chaotic, curvy heroine and Heath, the older silver fox billionaire, both likeable.
A chance meeting on a plane to destination weddings for the both of them result in a steamy one night stand that neither can forget the morning after. To complicate the feelings that both are left with, they discover they are both in the same wedding - Clover being the older sister of the bride who is marrying Heath's only son. The rom-com vibes throughout this story along with how Clover and Heath react to the revelation of their connection, the realisation the both of them have that their feelings for each other are real and how they navigate a possible future, had me invested in their well deserved HEA.
An enjoyable read with sizzling chemistry and heart, that easily kept me turning the pages quickly right through to the end.

Give In is book 4 in the Billionaire Cowboys and features Heath and Clover. I freaking LOVED these two. They are giving age gap, silver fox, one night to more, instalove and the most perfect meet cute.

From Clover's nervous rambling to how Heath put her at ease just by listening to her. These two were the perfect match, expect for a few minor details. Like how unbeknownst to both of them, Clover's sister was marrying Heath's son at the wedding they were both on their way to.

When Clover realizes who Heath, she now has to decide does she want to do what is the right thing to do, or does she want to go after the only man she has ever fallen for?

Clover had me laughing way more than I expected. She is such a gem of a character, her internal dialogue was everything and more. The connection between Juniper and Clover is one that every sister dreams of. The way Juniper reads clover like an open book just goes to show how close they really are. If you want a little family drama, a FMC that stand up to her man's ex-wife like only a BOSS BABE would and a silver fox who will do everything he can to make you his...then Give In is the book for you!!!

I smiled all the way through this book, it was such a feel good story! I did read the short version of this a while back, it was originally a very short novella called The Bride's Older Sister, and I remembered liking it but wanting more. This reworked and longer version gave me that and added depths to the characters that weren't there before. I loved how steady and calming Heath was, he was a caregiver in such a quiet way and was the anchor that Clover needed in her life. Clover was a hot mess in a hilarious way, and I loved that she was herself with him immediately. They were perfect for each other, she brought out the lighter side to him and he steadied her in a way that allowed her to stay. I also really loved their relationships with their family, Clover's with her sister and Heath's with his son. This story could have gone very differently, but the love they had for each other allowed for almost zero drama. No cheating or OM drama, slight OW drama but it was handled beautifully, no condoms, age gap, complicated family ties, dual POV, HEA and a sweet epilogue in the future. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Clover is in the final leg of her journey for her sister's destination wedding. She is ready to collapse, she just wants to get there. When she gets to ger seat, the man two seats over catches her attention. He is older than her,but there is a pull between them. She ends up telling him how she got fired from her job,and about all the other jobs she has lost.
Heath noticed the lady with the red curls dragging a suutcase before they boarded. When they got talking,he realised he had not been this interested in anybody ever.He made a mistake when he got married to his ex-wife,she was not what she seemed.Since then he has kept everyone at arms length until now.
When they land and get to the resort, they end up together in the same room. They end up spending the night together.
The next morning they find out Clover is the bride's sister and Maid of honour and Heath is the groom's father and the best man.
It gets complicated, but they cannot change their feelings and they do get to their happily ever after.
Another great read by Kat Baxter.
Cannot wait for the next book.

A flight with a silver fox, Heath, during a chaotic day of travelling for her sister's wedding, has Clover thinking about the Mile High Club. When Heath offers her a room in his suite at the hotel because of a problem at the hotel when she checks in, Clover has the best night of her life. Shock sets in when she discovers that Heath is the father of the groom, Heath's son, and Heath realizes she is the sister of the bride. With an ex wife on the scene determined to cause drama, the smooth running wedding is not so smooth behind the scenes, where realizations and decisions are made that will change lives. Witty and full of drama, Heath and Clover's story had me in gales of laughter at some points, especially after the rehearsal dinner. If you are looking for a short read that is heartwarming, funny with some spice, then this is definitely for you. I loved reading their story and seeing Clover deal effortlessly with the situations she found herself in when normally the opposite would happen. Brilliantly written and great characters, I loved it. 10 out of 10.

Kat Baxter has never let my heart down with a story, she has this special art of writing and although most of the stories are not that long, I really feel with the characters, she magical sucks me into the story in the best way. The same here, after one special night together, Heath knows that Clover is the woman for him, although and she wants to stay and face everything and stand up for her sister, not a strong suit of her this far in her life and there is this special thing that he is the father of the groom of her sister and she is the maid of honor. Haeth knew he married the wrong woman but due to her being pregnant, he did what felt right for him, the one good thing out of this marriage is his son, but his ex does not make it easy. He tries to be an upstanding good man. Will he finally find his happiness with Clover?.

This book was a short and entertaining read. Clover is the girl who has never fit in completely, sassy, and a bit chaotic. Heath is a silver fox who has guarded his heart after his ex left him with a son to take care of. They are both in the same flight and are instantly attracted to each other, and it takes no time for them to fall into insta lust. When they arrive at the destination, passion and insta love explode, but only to realize that they are both headed to the same wedding as the best man and father of the groom, and maid of honor and sister of the bride.
Their connection is magnetic, and they cannot deny that there is more to explore together, but they will have to navigate their insecurities, family, and their fears along the way. A great read with a complete plot in a short format!.

**One Night with a Silver Fox!**

*Give In* is the fourth book in the Billionaire Cowboys series. Heath is all about control, while Clover embodies pure chaos—carefree and in the process of finding herself. They meet on a plane as strangers, both heading to a destination wedding: Clover is the maid of honor for her sister, and Heath is the best man at his son’s wedding.

A single conversation, followed by a mix-up at the check-in desk, leads them to share a room, resulting in one unforgettable, steamy night. However, the next morning, they discover they are both attending the same wedding, which only intensifies their undeniable chemistry and leads to even spicier moments together.

Clover and Heath represent the perfect balance of control and chaos as a couple. Their flirty banter kept me laughing throughout, making this a sweet and enjoyable afternoon read.

Age Gap Romance.
Clover is a young woman who came for her sister's wedding. She certainly didn't expect the adventures she would experience during her journey. When she finally finds her flight, a silver fox near her on the plane stares intently at her. When they can finally talk, it's love at first sight. They promise each other just one night, but they don't expect to see each other again the next day.
Heath takes a flight to one of his hotels to attend his son's wedding. But during the flight, he meets a beautiful woman, and he knows it won't just be one night. He'll do everything to find her again after the wedding. However, he doesn't expect to find her on the wedding day. Will Clover and Heath have a beautiful love story, or will their relationship with the bride and groom get the better of them…

A wedding, a forbidden romance, and a magnificent silver fox, the perfect recipe for a great romance.

She is on her way to her sister‘s wedding, suffering, the worst travel day of her life when she meets him. A tall older stranger who listens and says all the right things. They have one incredible night together, and she never expects to see him again. She most certainly doesn’t expect him to be her sister’s future father-in-law. He noticed her right away from her flaming red curls to the energy that surrounds her and he is intrigued. He wants to see her again however he knows he has to do his obligation as father of the groom first but what he doesn’t expect is the beautiful made of honor who we spent the night with to walk down the aisle. This is a quick story of intense chemistry that pops up in the least expected place, though it isn’t conventional. They clearly have something that could be special and it is a quick and spicy journey to their happily ever after.

4.25 stars. This short story is dual POV, well written, and a fast-paced, funny, sweet and steamy, instant attraction, age gap, one-night-stand to more, contemporary short romance between Clover, the female lead on her way to her sister’s destination wedding, and Heath, the male lead on his way to his son’s destination wedding. I chuckled at the chaos that Clover described her life as being and appreciated Heath’s sincere interest in it. I enjoyed Clover’s focus on her sister’s needs, even as she was interested in Heath. I enjoyed Heath’s calm certainty that he was interested in more than a one night stand, and his respect for Clover’s boundaries. I enjoyed the steamy intimate scenes. I enjoyed the close family relationships and the cameos from other couples in the series. I enjoyed the happy ending.

Clover’s chaotic trip to her sister’s wedding takes an unforgettable turn when she meets silver fox Heath on the flight—and starts fantasizing about the Mile High Club. After a hotel mix-up, he offers her a room in his suite, leading to the best night of her life. The morning after brings the ultimate shock: Heath is the father of the groom, making Clover the bride’s sister.
With Heath’s drama-stirring ex-wife on the scene, the “perfect” wedding hides plenty of behind-the-scenes chaos, realizations, and life-changing decisions.
Witty, spicy, and laugh-out-loud funny (especially post-rehearsal dinner), this heartwarming short read is packed with great characters and effortless charm. Brilliantly written—I loved every minute. Highly recommended!.

Traveling to the wedding she is arranging for her sister has turned into a tiresome day with the only bright spot being Heath, a fellow passenger. The situation at the hotel doesn’t appear to be much better as her reservation is for the following but it might just be the best accident to happen when Heath offers to have her stay with him.

Heath was enchanted by Clover when he met her at the airport and spending some time with her on flight only reinforced it. When fate has them staying in the same room the sparks fly and things couldn’t be going better until she finds out that his son is marrying her sister. Let the fun begin!

I really enjoyed that the angst was low as all parties involved only wanted the others to be happy and they aren’t about to let the age gap or their complicated family situation come between their love.

Give In by Kat Baxter is a steamy, emotionally charged romance that delivers strong chemistry and plenty of tension from the start. The dynamic between the main characters feels intense and addictive, with just enough vulnerability to give the relationship some real depth.

I especially liked the push-and-pull energy between them and the way the story kept that romantic tension alive throughout. Kat Baxter writes with a confident pace that makes the book easy to stay engaged with, and the emotional beats help balance out the heat nicely. It’s a compelling setup that works well for readers who enjoy bold, fast-moving romance.

While some parts felt familiar, the overall reading experience was satisfying and entertaining. Overall, I’m giving Give In four stars. It’s a sexy, engaging read with a strong romantic spark and plenty of momentum.

Give In opens with leads Clover and Heath meeting on a flight heading for a resort wedding and unaware its the same one.
They are too busy discovering a connection with each other that is immediate, and after landing spending an amazing night together.
Then only to discover later on at the wedding rehearsal that he is the grooms father and she the brides older sister!
This was such a humorous short story and I loved how Heath and Clover fit together like pieces of a puzzle.
He can call me baby girl anytime!
A little drama, family dynamics, passion, emotion, nice writing and a wonderful cast of characters rounded out a sweet and captivating read, and wonderful HEA.

A man who got married to the wrong woman because of an accidental pregnancy, but got the best gift of his son out of it. Heath has been divorced for a while and now his son is all grown up and getting married himself. What happens when you hook up with your future daughter-in-law's sister?
Heath and Clover were perfect for each other. Yes it was insta love, but gosh we're they so sweet together. Heath was not only a great father, but a great guy in general. He actually listened to Clover and wanted to know her better. Then we have Clover who stood her ground and stood up for her sister when Heath's ex was absolutely horrible. I thought it was a great read.

Clover is on the way to her sister’s destination wedding to a groom she has yet to meet. Two seats over from her is an older, silver fox, seems to be very interested and talking to her. She probably looked like a hot mess but he did not seem to notice or comment. When they get to the resort, Clover’s room will not be ready until after 3pm and that is over twelve hours away. Heath owns the resort and has a two-bedroom suite, offers her one of the rooms for the night. The pair hook up and find out the next day; he is the father of the groom that her sister is marrying.
This is a quick and steamy with lots of drama, loved how Clover seems to be bolstered by her interactions with Heath.

Give in is the insta-love story you didn't know you needed. It's an age-gap, strangers on a plane, sweet story.

She has had the day from hell, travelling to her sisters wedding, but the handsome silver fox on he flight makes it a little easier. When they end up staying at the same resort, he comes to her rescue again when her room isn't ready.

Being on the same flight and same resort is a coincidence, right? Until she arrives at her sisters wedding rehearsal and spots him standing next to the groom.

There is no drama, just some funny and cute moments as they attempt to navigate what could be a complicated situation.

Really enjoyed this.

Love At First Sight
What a lovely, sweet, romantic story! For everybody who has experienced love at first sight it will mean something extraordinary. It does to me, happened many, many years ago and nothing came of it, but I will never forget the feeling and exhilaration it brought. This story took me back to that moment and it was wonderful. Reading about chaotic Clover and steady, kind Heath in the crazy situation of her sister and his son’s wedding was such a wonderful surprise. Really, really loved it!
Highly recommended to have a swoony read 😉

A fabulously fun book to read with lots of great humor with Clover Hill on the way to her sister's wedding, and she meets Heath West gorgeous older man on the flight, that she unloads all of her many, many jobs on, which he only laughs. Including when she called 911 on her preschool class for having the flu, and she left. She had been fired from so many jobs over the years. Heath worked in land management, so he traveled a great deal. He had one son who was also getting married soon. The perfect book for a quick pick me up.

Give In is beautifully written, hilarious, touching, and so sexy sweet. Heath and Clover have an undeniable chemistry, and they light up the pages! I devoured this novella so quickly—I adore how Heath sees Clover, in all of her raw and beautiful self. Learning about each of them as they get to know each other—and through the eyes of Leo and Juniper—is a delightful journey. Clover is an amazing woman who just wants to be seen and accepted as she is while she finds her way. Heath is her perfect match with a caring heart. Loved this story so much!!!
