The style of writing is now annoying

This is the third book by this author I've read and maybe the last. I'm not sure if it's ai or an intentional style but it eventually just became hard to keep reading. Every single page could have been 5 lines. I admit I stopped fully reading and started skimming around 15%. When the reading experience improves while skipping entire pages you know there's a problem

Excellent and enjoyable

The story is varied and interesting. I love all of the characters and want more time with them. Their interactions are by turns competitive, tender, often humorous, encouraging and stubborn. In short very human. The MC is monstrously overcharged but encumbered with an unchanged beginner's level. I'm completely engaged as I read. Can't wait for the next in the series.

Overpowered Level 1 Mage is the second book in this series, and while it's nowhere near as amusing as the first one, I still found myself laughing here and there, so it's still a fun read. Interesting to watch where the story is going, so I think I'm almost certainly going to read the next book in the series.

So Good!!!

After reading book one I immediately picked up book 2. And it was just as enjoyable.

I love the writing and the storytelling. I love the quick zings. I love the mushroom mage! He's hilarious. And a really good addition to the team.

Its so good because the story still has excitement, but without the long drawn out dark moments of everything's about to go to hell. I really like this series!

In Book 2 of this series - the hero is on top of a hill (not a mountain) and he can see a Black Castle - three miles away - and he can even see knights on horseback entering this castle.

That is the kind of absurdity that takes place in this segment.

Then there is the delving into a dungeon with 14 levels - and there is a chapter for each level of that dungeon.

In a word - the author has captured the essence of - Minutiae.

Mind numbing MINUTIAE.

Fantastic

If you want a nice slice of life protagonist and have read the first book then you will not go wrong with the second on, more of everything a level 1 mage can do , dungeons competition and a cat that finds an old wizard strangely appealing plus new friends and maybe an enemy that is just as ridiculously overpowered as the mc.

I laughed

The humor is very dry but builds. You have to read the first book which builds into the second. I wasnt sure the author would pull it off but they did. And left the story open for more... thank god because im looking forward to the next

Very enjoyable read

This author's style of writing is my favorite. I absolutely love the humor and snark in the dialogue, between the characters and with the System. Highly recommended read.

Simple

Much like the first one. The MC is still kind of hard to describe. He is pretty ambivalent to life around him, then all of a sudden he is engaged. The story itself is OK, just doesn't generate any emotional attachment to any of the characters or what happening around them.

Mushrooms, mushrooms everywhere, oh...and dungeons and Trolls!

Levin entered the world a level 1 mage that everyone misjudged, misunderstood and payed for it. Lots of adventure, things blowing up, getting holed and destroyed. Highly recommend.

Style grows on you

An improved storyline but a continuance of the writing style. Reads well and is interesting. Amusing but not laugh out loud.the world rules are not well described but that’s half the point. Different but good.

excellent

Book2 does not disappoint. The personal development continues while the local conditions seem different. A new and mysterious lord in a castle to the north, danger dwells in hidden depths

prose that is never AI

For all those that only care that a human is the author and not the entertainment value, this book is for you. The magical weaving of words this author offers could never be matched by AI. Now whether or not the slow cozy pace is your jam is another matter.

Very fun

Simply put. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one.

It's more of the cozy antics of the first one.

Highly recommended.

wonderful

This author has the knack. Pleasure to read tbh. Lovely story and deals with an OP character in delightful ways. Some of the best I’ve read.

3.5 Stars.

This book, in which we learn that overwhelming power is not everything, is still an easy read but far from captivating.

loved it

I love the descriptive language. It is so fun to read! I am waiting for the next book to see if we find out why the broom pulls left.

I felt like it was overdone. The author is trying to put more words then are needed. It lacks a bit of emotional attachment to the characters. Other than that it was good. I liked the story line.

Tedious

You don't have to explain and describe every point in the entire book. I skipped so much word filler. Please cut down on it.

One Punch Mage

Imagine a guy who remains stubbornly at Level One despite being totally overpowered in every fight. Add a bit of world weariness and a maximally sarcastic narrative tone. And he has a group of quirky companions. It made me laugh a lot and I enjoyed the subversive humor. Recommended!
