Plot is a bit trite, but Gregson really does have a feel for the way married couples can be in a fight without actually arguing out loud. My husband asked me a question while I was reading this and I bit his head off, then rememberd "oh right, the wife in the book is annoyed at her husband, not me."

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Gregson writes about believable people in believable situations. Relationships develop and change during the course of her books. I particularly like the way children of adults in her novels are treated as integral characters, essential to the unfolding story.

I'd rather not take a hatchet to this novel, so I'll just say that it was trite and that it dragged.
