I have enjoyed the prior three stories in this series, as they are relatable, and full of entertaining characters and hysterical happenings - but this reverse age gap story is my absolute favorite.

Storm Chaser enforcer Bobby “Roadie” Rhodes requires a PR overhaul, a task his teammate’s fiancée, Kaitlyn, has undertaken. Among the demands for Bobby were buying a house, getting a girlfriend, and finding an anger management counsellor, besides others. A tall order, for sure. His “fashionista” antics had me chuckling throughout the entire book!

Molly Sparks is doing her best to cope with her divorce and co-parent her teenage son, Matty, with her ex-husband, Blake. She’s busy with her life and not interested in dating, a fact her boss Coco ignores. So relatable and entertaining!

Bobby’s pursuit of Molly, his attempts to charm her and bond with her son, completely captivated me, age gap notwithstanding. It’s easy to be drawn into their passionate connection and to understand her doubts about a relationship that seems almost too good to be true. With ease, I turned the pages, chuckling at the playful banter among Benny, Druggy, Dan-O, and the team. Though ideally read in order, this book is enjoyable on its own; you can always go back to the others later.

Having read many wonderful stories by each author, I strongly recommend both their individual works and this collaborative series, which combines their talents to create something truly special. This hockey rom-com has great team banter, steamy scenes, heartwarming moments, tough situations, and a perfect HEA—everything we love!
I was fortunate to receive a complimentary copy of this book (thank you) and happily leave my review.

What a great way to finish out a series! I must say that I am sorry to see these ladies & this hockey team move on. I have so enjoyed my time with these characters! Bobby is the rookie, constantly being traded to new teams & on the new coaches radar. His agent makes a to-do list that he must follow to clean up his image. Number one on this list, find a house to buy. Enter the stunningly beautiful Molly, single mom to Matthew, real estate agent, with an ex, Blake that came out of the closet. She isn't interested in love, she just wants to provide a stable home with food on the table. The side characters in this story are laugh out loud hilarious! There are the past couples from the hockey team, plus best friend Romona & cougar boss CoCo! What can possibly go wrong when your boss signs you up for a cougar dating app? This couple was so fun together, falling fast & hard for each other. However, the twelve yr age gap has Molly freaking out. Can Bobby make her understand he's looking for forever, not just right now? Molly & Bobby are HOT together, expect a younger man to help her draw on her sexuality & spice this story way up! Enjoy!

Mi mancherete 🥹

Sleepless Nights and Hockey Fights is Book 4 of the Hot Flash Hookups series. This is a steamy, instalove, opposites-attract, reverse age-gap hockey romance. Bobby "Roadie" Rhodes is the hunky, Rookie, playboy enforcer for the Storm Chasers who is known to be a hot head. PR is making him do an overhaul of his image. Molly is a sweet realtor and single mom to teenage Matty. She is recently divorced and trying to co-parent with her ex Blake. She is 12 years old than Bobby. One of the items he needs to complete is buying a house. Hence, he meets Molly and is taken with her. I have loved this whole series so much. I'm a sucker for a good reverse age gap, and this did not disappoint. The banter was hysterical, the chemistry was hot, and the ending was so happy. I'm sad this is the last one in this series as it's definitely become a fave.

Love, fear and healing

I loved, loved, loved this single mom, age gap, hockey player romance. The story had the perfect balance of humor, heartwarming love, real life issues, and spice as seen through the eyes of two intense, strong and passionate characters. It just made me happy to read about these two relatable characters dealing with the messy parts of life with all their insecurities and negative self-talk trying to derail things. These two had me feeling all the big things and sometimes rolling my eyes and low key yelling at them in my head. Bobby is a hot headed hockey player who has to clean up his act or risk getting traded and ending his career. Molly is a divorced single mom and realtor. Her 12 yo son, Matty, is getting in trouble at school for anger issues. Part of Bobby’s assignment is to buy a house and get a steady girlfriend and Molly can help with both those things. What follows the inevitable giving in to their passion is a wonderful journey of joy, missteps, baggage unpacking, inner voice finding, and life course correction. This heartwarming story was well written and included engaging dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, deep emotions, and a captivating storyline. And Matty was a such wonderful and integral addition to the story rather than a flimsy story prop. The story would not have been as rich and well rounded without the full development and inclusion of his character which was often the catalyst for growth by the MCs. I have loved this series.

I love this series from Marika Ray and Sylvie Stewart!! Hot hockey players, who can have anyone they want, fall for sassy, mature women who have more on their minds than falling in love. Their latest romance is full of love, laughter, and adventure from beginning to end. Molly Sparks is a single mom with a twelve year old son who she loves to pieces and an ex-husband who is like her best friend. What more could she ask for? Her latest real estate client, Bobby Rhodes, is a much-too-young for her hockey player, who makes her heart beat faster and her mind wander to places it shouldn’t go. On top of all that, Bobby is also a volunteer coach for her sons after school hockey team which makes him almost impossible to ignore. Bobby is her most famous client and definitely hard to say no to!

The way Bobby looks at house hunting is that the more houses he tours, the more time he can spend getting to know Molly. Who wouldn’t fall for the handsome hockey player with his stylish attire, quick wit and infectious personality? Bobby needed to keep his head in the game because his new coach was a stern taskmaster, and he vowed to prove to him that he was serious about winning this season. Bobby loves mentoring the young players and Molly’s son Matthew was soon singing the praises of his favorite hockey player. To Matthew, Bobby could do no wrong, and it didn’t take long for Molly to agree with him. She was concerned, though, that Bobby would get tired of dating an “older woman” with a son but Bobby was all in when it came to winning Molly’s heart and being the star player on her team.

We're back with the Storm Chasers hockey team. Bobby knows he's on a short rope with the new coach. He's always calling Bobby out and really laying into him, now he's worried about being traded. When Kaitlyn his agent gives him a plan to win coach over he thinks its to way out there and doing therapy isn't something he really isn't keen about. Ok he has a short temper but he's the enforcer of the team, finding a girlfriend and being in a steady relationship is this really necessary to savevhis hockey career. Molly is a single mom bringing up her son and working as a realtor keeps them in a stable home that she maintains on her own. When she approached by the young handsome hockey player to be his realtor she doesn't expect him to pursue her for a relationship. He's at least twelve years younger than her and she has her son to think about. This story is absolutely brilliant not only does it cover some serious topics but it's so hilarious I found myself just chuckling away to myself. Both main characters have past family issues that are still unresolved. Can they help each other overcome their pasts, or will it all end in heartbreak. Sit back and enjoy another brilliant book in this series I can't recommend it enough

Loved this final story so much ♥️
It was with sadness that I realised that this series was coming to an end and that this was to be the last book.
However as I started reading it was as if I’d instantly returned to where the series was centred around - The home of the Storm Chasers and their players, past and present plus their partners.
I absolutely loved the dynamics between Bobby and Molly and all that they would go through to be together as a couple.
Persistence definitely pays off and Bobby definitely fell hard for Molly and isn’t afraid to show it.
If only Molly can get over all that holds her back from committing to Bobby.
A great storyline that had some powerful moments where it touched on topics such as - overcoming bullying, dealing with anger management and seeking professional help to better yourself.
The story was also funny at times, steamy others and had some beautifully tender moments.
I especially loved all of the characters from the previous books being a part of this story.
A fantastic story and a great series that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. ♥️

For the fourth entry into this series, Molly is struggling with being single again, parenting a son who has developed a serious temper, trying to build a new career, and having insomnia. Her situation is very relatable, and I was impressed with her courage. kindness, and practicality. But this is a romcom, so the authors threw Bobby at her. Bobby is not at all what Molly thinks she needs. He has a temper, is at risk of being traded, and is significantly younger than she is. However, he is also taking important steps toward improving himself, and he shares that with Molly's son at a critical time. Bobby is all in with Molly, but she has her own baggage that is holding her back. Her friends come to the rescue, and everyone gets a lovely HEA. There are lots of laughs in here, and there is also a great series epilogue. I had a great time reading this.

This series is definitely one of my favourites and I've loved all the books so far. Bobby and Molly are another great addition and I loved reading their story. Bobby went through so much dealing with his anger issues and working on himself and his relationships, it made a refreshing change to have a MMC like him. Basically as much as it is to have a series about slightly older women in life!

I really hope there are more books to come in the series as I am definitely here for it. Older FMCs deserve love and happiness too! Especially with younger men like Bobby...

Well, these authors got goal after goal on this gem! Gosh, this was fricken hilarious, the puns were fantabulous. These 2 are so opposite, yet both need to heal, making them similar as well. They are both so feisty, it’s hard not to love them. The funderpants… y’all… so funny!! You seriously have to read this. 100/10 recommend!!

I received an advanced copy of this beauty, this is my very own opinion.

I really loved the growth throughout the book of Bobby. His personal journey was one of my favorite things of this particular story. These ladies know how to pull you in a series and tug at your heart strings. The humor is always welcomed and very much needed in my life while reading this book. The scenes with Matty were very touching as he struggled with Bullying and how to react to it. Great story with a lot of great messages in it. A must read.

Dealing with Issues . . .

Bobby Rhodes has a reputation for being hot-headed and he’s not making many friends over it. Maybe it really is time to grow up? Although his goofy underwear is not a good first step in that direction. The team’s new head hockey coach Andre Marsh is cracking down on him and he better start taking it seriously. He heads up to his apartment and finds his uninvited brother Richie there.

Bobby is attracted to older women. So when he decides to buy a house and meets the realtor, Molly draws his full attention. She has a son, Matty, and he and Bobby are perfect together, especially since Matty is part of the youth hockey league where Bobby mentors the young players. Bobby wants to convince her that their ages don’t matter. Will she finally give in and give Bobby a chance to win her heart?

Bobby "Roadie" Rhodes is on the cusp of losing his position with the team and being traded. Too many off the ice bad press has his new coach coming down hard on him. Not wanting to be traded, Bobby starts changing his ways, but one woman has caught his eye Molly Sparks.

Molly is dealing with a son who has flipped a switch and turned into a temperamental beast of a child. She has no interest in getting back in the dating scene after her divorce, but her boss has other ideas. When she meets Bobby she doesn't expect him to pursue her but when he makes his interest very clear, Molly has to decide if easy banter and chemistry is worth taking a chance.

This was my favorite so far in the series. I thought Molly was so down to earth and there are some really funny moments with her. Bobby has a way with words, definitely a favorite character for me. Positively delightful.

What a great finish to a wonderfully funny, sweet sexy series. This one definitely got me in the feels watching Bobby and Molly two people definitely worthy of a great family fall in love and grow in front of our eyes. I love how sylvie and Marika let it be OK that not just women could use an impartial party to talk to and let us know it's OK to feel what we're feeling.

I had a great time reading the first three books in the Hot Flash Hookups series, but I had even more fun with the fourth book, Sleepless Nights and Hockey Fights, by Marika Ray and Sylvie Stewart, who make a fantastic writing duo. I think this one is my favourite of the series! I recommend reading them in order to fully enjoy all the fun.
Sleepless Nights and Hockey Fights is a delightful, sexy, reverse age-gap romantic comedy that you won't be able to put down. I found myself laughing out loud at the witty banter between the characters.
Bobby ‘Roadie’ Rhodes is an enforcer for the Storm Chasers hockey team, but he’s on the verge of losing everything if he doesn’t get his chaotic life in order—including finding a girlfriend. No problem, right?
Molly is a single mom who unexpectedly crosses paths with Bobby, who insists that she is the one for him. However, she has to contend with the fact that he is 12 years younger and that she is not looking for a relationship. But Bobby doesn’t seem to understand the meaning of no! That’s when the mayhem and madness begin.
Sleepless Nights and Hockey Fights is a charming, feel-good story filled with quirky characters that you'll love. The chemistry and heat between them are certainly turned up a notch.
If you enjoy a hilarious romantic comedy that blends drama, tough moments, wit, romance, love, and laughter, then this series is a must-read!

Almost DNF

Honestly the mmc was pretty cringy. He seemed immature for his age and his inner monologue was cringeworthy. I don’t remember the others in the series being that way. Always it did have a HEA and can be read as a stand alone.

«Wow.
«In carne e ossa, piccola. Proprio qui. Sempre.»

Bobby is a hockey player with the Storm Chasers. He's a bit hot headed, and the new coach isn't having it. Bobby is afraid he might get traded, and he doesn't want that. He feels like he belongs here. His agent has a plan to help him, including anger management sessions and volunteer work. And he likes working with the kids on the youth hockey league. And there's that one mom he'd like to get to know better.
Molly is a single mom to a 12 year old son. He's always been a good kid, but recently he's been acting out and having issues at school. Getting in fights. She and her ex have been trying to get him to tell them what's going on, but he just shuts them out. But he loves playing hockey. He's on a youth league, and some of the Storm Chasers stick around after practice to work with the kids.
Both her boss and her best friend tell her she needs to get out and have some fun. Find a guy to liven things up. After 15 years with her ex, she wasn't sure she was ready for any of that. Then a hot hockey player approaches her at her son's practice, and it's more than she can handle.
Bobby hires Molly as his realtor and he seems to have a lot of houses on his list to look at, but really he just wants to spend time with Molly. She's quickly beginning to mean a lot to him.
They have quite the spark between them, despite a 12 year age difference. But they're total opposites. Bobby is impetuous and flies by the seat of his designer pants. Molly is level headed and practical. At 40, she has a troubled son and responsibilities. She can't get distracted by a hot hockey player who's just going to decide she's too old for him and leave.
This was everything I've come to expect from this series - strong but flawed characters, a good plot line full of personal growth, and those fun, quirky moments that feel so natural. There was a wide range of family dynamics, not all of them healthy. Plenty of drama there! Also, a theme of mental health and owning your sh- stuff.
We catch up with characters we know and love, including the crazy teammates and their families. The WAGs are so supportive of Molly when she has doubts, even though they hardly know her. And we find out that sometimes the best family is the one we choose.

Sleepless Nights and Hockey Fights is the fourth and final book in the Hot Flash Hookups series.

Tropes
Reverse age gap
Opposites attract
Pro hockey
Single mom
He falls first

Bobby is a young, professional hockey player with style and charm, an appreciation for older women, and a reputation that needs repair.

Molly – a single mom, real estate agent, with a tween son, an ex-husband, and a boss determined to get Molly back into the dating scene.

Their story is the journey of two broken souls trying to find their way through their issues. While they each have things holding them back from living their best lives, it may just be that they can help each other face these issues and become what the other needs.

While Bobby may have started his attempts at rehabbing his image as a means of saving his hockey career, it soon turns into a mission of becoming a better man to deserve the woman he loves and her son.

Molly has fully immersed herself in her role as a single Mom. She dedicates everything to her work and providing for her son. In the process, she has lost her identity as a woman and the possibility of love, especially with a younger man.

Perhaps by fate, their paths seem to cross in more than one way, leading them to spend time together. He falls first and does his best to prove to her that no matter the age gap between them, they are meant to be together. My heart melted watching Bobby evolve and prove to Molly that all that matters is what they think and feel for each other, not bending to the opinions and pressures of others.

Each page had me invested in the relationship between the two and rooting for them to overcome their resistance and allow themselves to explore what makes them happy.

I have loved each couple in the Hot Flash Hookups series, but Bobby & Molly’s story had everything to make them my favorite of the series.

The authors dealt with several sensitive topics but did it with their usual mindfulness, well-placed humor, and at the center of it all, love.

I highly recommend this book, and the entire series, to all readers who enjoy a great story, incredible main and side characters, steam, and plenty of laughs.

This is my first read of these author’s work Marisa Ray and Sylvie Stewart. It won’t be the last, had a blast reading this ,in fact it was bliss. He’s got the new coach on his back ,always there on the attack . Well it’s to be expected because he has a reputation for fights on ice and older women in his bed. Enough said ? Well you’d think so ,but there’s more to know about this misunderstood stud . Bobby has to clean up his act…. Molly is a single mum realtor with a twelve year old kid. Responsible and professional and good at her job. Her son plays youth hockey and he has a mentor. Can you guess who? Yes that’s right Bobby , hey I’m impressed with you. So no pressure then Bobby as you’ve fallen once again ,for an older woman ,it makes sense to steer clear especially as you mentor her son. But yes we can all see this relationship is different to the others and it’s not just a fumble under the covers ,but will coach feel your pain ,or go insane at your indiscretion? …. Those pencil skirts ,such a tease ,and her mom’s voice makes him say please . Insists she is too old ,he says opposites attract. She answers right back but not in attack ,slowly he breaks down her defences but she has a battle on her hands with her wayward unruly son and her ex and his demands. Bobby is not deterred, not one bit . He’s just as determined to be there every step of the way with grit. She’s worth the fight ,the sleepless nights . Will they last or is it over in a flash? Well I’ll leave it here . Just want you to know this book gave ME sleepless nights remembering the show . The descriptions and all and the hockey a dream , pro! This book supreme ,the cream of the crop . I know I’m gushing I’d best stop . But I mean every word ladies . Way to go for putting on a well writ ten show with excellent descriptors and prose and the compelling storytelling too . So Pucking good . A Hockey romance fan’s perfect book combo!

It’s time for Bobby to grow up. At 28 years old he needs to save the anger for the ice and the opponent vs everyone else. In Sleepless Nights and Hockey Fights, it’s Bobby’s turn to fall. But is he willing to try? I thoroughly enjoy these books and these characters so it’s always fun jumping into the next one. It’s always a guess on who will be next, but the previous book always gives the reader a clue. Now in saying that, these books can be read as a standalone or a series, you don’t really lose much being most of the timelines overlap. However I encourage you to read them all.
Bobby heard the words trade, and he knew it was time. Time to change course on his life. He’s happy in Tampa, he loves his teammates, and he is really in no mood to start over in a new city. When his agent gives him a list of things he needs to do, to change his image and remind the team why they brought him here. He never imagined that his life would be turned upside down in a way, well his personal life that is. Always having a thing for older women, he can’t deny it when one of the kid’s moms he helps mentor in hockey, catches his eye. However when she becomes his realtor that’s when he decides to pursue her, but how?
Molly has a lot on her plate, a preteen son being one of her many worries. He’s getting in trouble in school, and she doesn’t understand why. However, instead of trying to stay home in the evenings to find out, she needs to work to keep a roof over their head, food on the table, and clothes on their backs. Bobby, her new client, is starting to complicate things. He’s too young, but she’s attracted. Her son looks up to him, that could be a problem. She’s thought of every reason why not to give him a chance.
Will he change her mind?
Will Bobby succeed in changing his image?
Can Bobby and Molly really work out?
So many questions and answers along the way. If you enjoy a good sports romance, these books are worth it!

Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this can be read as a standalone and ends with a very HEA.
Readers met Bobby (28) in previous books in the series. He is the young, sometimes goofy, flirty, guy on the team. This book allows readers to really get to know him. We learn of his difficult childhood, his bond with his mother, his attraction to older women, and his need for praise and validation. We also see what a big heart he is carrying around under his laughing exterior. He is dealing with some anger management issues that he tackles in a mostly mature manner. It was the best kind of reward to read as he grows so much, heals, and matures over the course of this book. He becomes the truly fine man that he was meant to be.
Molly (40) is the single mom of Matthew (12) with a friendly relationship with her ex-husband after an unsatisfying 15-year marriage. She is struggling financially, but she is determined to build a stable life for her son and herself. She is also experiencing a fair amount of self-doubt, especially when it comes to her attractiveness as a woman and her ability to find a forever person.
I loved how Bobby treated her like a precious gift from the beginning. He worships her and watching her blossom under his love was beautiful. I also loved how Bobby becomes a man that Matthew can look up to and admire and how the motivation to be that helps him grow. This was steamy, laugh-out -loud goodness that I struggled to put down to attend to the daily living requirements of my own household. I can’t recommend this entire series enough. And the bonus epilogue? The perfect wrap to the series that brought tears to my eyes.
Marika and Sylvie: please write more books together. I loved these.
I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book.
