Emmir the Elf

Rate this book
Do you believe in Elves? No well neither did Charlie. Not till he made his amazing find down by the creek. Maybe if he'd known then how much trouble one little Elf could cause, he'd have left him there. But who could have resisted the plea of such a little defenseless creature, not Charlie. He only had to hide his new friend Emmir for five days. This should be easy, or so he thought. From day one Charlie has nothing but trouble and things get even worse when his little sister Susan finds out.
The relief he feels when the five days are up is short lived. Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that taking Emmir home would be such a strange adventure. As Charlie enters the world of pixies and Goblins, a world were nothing is as it seems and strange things happen. As Emmir and Eschew the evil one battle it out, Charlie starts to wonder if he'll ever get to go back home.

Good children's story.

I enjoyed reading this book to my daughter. It's about a 3rd grade reading level. For the most part it was good, touching on the maturing of a boy during a short adventure with an elf.

It would have been much better if it hadn't had as many editing issues. I could read it to my daughter, but she could not have read and understood it herself because of the problems.

Over all a good story.
