This book gave the feeling of having conversations over coffee with the author (Tuesdays with Morrie vibe). I thought the pictures helped to add depth and make the story read quicker.
I wish the chapters and paragraphs were organized differently. I felt like some chapters were too long and melted into the next chapter while others could have been longer and explained further. Additionally, I felt a little misled by the description because I believed the author’s mother died in childbirth. This made the beginning of the book confusing when I realized she was still alive. Also, I wish the book went more into his father’s story and the military lifestyle. Did he also believe in this sense of spirituality? How was his relationship with his father?
This book gave me a new perspective that was interesting to reflect on. Although I feel differences in my spiritual beliefs, I thought there were a lot of similarities which was interesting. Overall, a quick read!

This book is well written and easy and easy to read. It contains some surprises but also made me think of how our lives contain directions which we can choose to follow or not. Some of the author’s descriptions of his guidance can be read in different ways. I am glad I bought this book & read it. I hope you enjoy it & may it speak to you to think how you got to where you are.
