Amber Kell has made a career out of daydreaming. It has been a lifelong habit she practices diligently as shown by her complete lack of focus on anything not related to her fantasy world building.

When she told her husband what she wanted to do with her life he told her to go have fun.

During those seconds she isn't writing she remembers she has children who humor her with games of 'what if' and let her drag them to foreign lands to gather inspiration. Her youngest confided in her that he wants to write because he longs for a website and an author name—two things apparently necessary to be a proper writer.

Despite her husband's insistence she doesn't drink enough to be a true literary genius she continues to spin stories of people falling happily in love and staying that way.

She is thwarted during the day by a traffic jam of cats on the stairway and a puppy who insists on walks, but she bravely perseveres..

She also writes under the name Mikela Q. Chase

With this sixth book, Amber Kell takes us into the next generation of the ‘A Wizard’s Touch’ series. While I really liked the characters of the first five books, the new guys are pretty interesting as well. And luckily, Jaynell, Kevin, and some of the others are back in supporting roles. Wizards and wolves have intermingled to a greater degree than ever before, and there is another new addition to the group of supernatural beings in form of the villain. All in all, a pretty exciting adventure and a good start to what will hopefully be more instalments in this exciting world.

Madison is a full wolf, but he lost his family in a flood when he was very young and has grown up in Alpha James’s pack. He has known Temple is his mate for a while, but he doesn’t want to force Temple to be with him, in case Temple doesn’t feel the same thing. This hesitancy leads to a lot of angst, drama, and pain on both sides. And once Madison opens up, he is kidnapped and has to face fear on a whole new level.

Temple is a half-wolf, Dean’s son, and constantly afraid he isn’t enough. He can’t shift into a wolf, but he is a pretty strong wizard. He hates leaving for the Wizard Academy without Madison, but what can he do? Making new friends and “growing up” certainly isn’t all it’s made out to be, if you ask him! And Madison’s disappearance opens up a whole new level of panic and fear, but Temple won’t let that stop him. He is determined to find Madison, and nothing will stop him.

If you like the world of ‘A Wizard’s Touch’ and its colorful characters from several supernatural species, if two men who are childhood friends discovering they belong together forever sound interesting, and if you’re looking for a read with sweet romance, hot loving, and a dangerous adventure to top it all off, then you will probably like this novella.

While I liked this story, I wish Ms. Kell would slow down in her storytelling and expand and explain a number of events that occurred in the course of the story. If she'd done so, she could have finished the story at 99% rather than 89% and still given a preview of her next story. I felt cheated to get to the end of the book and realize I wasn't going to see how Temple and Maddy grow into their adult relationship or how Temple handles going to college.

Ok

3.5 ⭐️

I liked Temple and Maddie and it was great to see the kids of the previous characters, although as per this author’s style it took me a moment to realise we had jumped 30 years.
I thought Temple’s insecurities were well done and understandable. If I’m honest I was a little disappointed with the ending, it felt rushed and parts weren’t explained well enough for me.

In the sixth addition in A Wizards Touch series, Temple’s Touch, we meet Temple and Madison aka Maddie. It’s important to note this book takes place years after the previous one. Temple (one of the wizard triplets named Dean is his father) is a hybrid of wolf and empath wizard and he has decided he needs to go to wizard’s academy. He plans on moving on with his siblings to form a new pack and wants to feel like he can contribute. Since he is a hybrid and unable to shift into his wolf form he wants to try to figure out his magic. Maddie is a full wolf and is Temple’s best friend since they were children. He joined Alpha James pack after a flood causes him to lose his family. Maddie realizes that he and Temple are mates but after years of Temple treating him like a friend he worries that he will no longer be important to Temple once he goes to school. Temple loves Maddie but unaware of the mate bond he pushes that love aside afraid of the day that Maddie would find his real mate. As Temple embarks on his first few days of school the rest of the pack decides to give ideas to both of them. Alpha James suggests that Maddie go to a mixer and possibly date other people in order for Temple to realize what he is missing. After being hit on at school, a slip up confirms what Temple should have known all along, that they are mates. After they mate, a visitor shows up from Maddie’s past and suddenly Maddie is kidnapped. Temple didn’t go through everything just to lose his mate, he and the rest of the pack begin to search for him. Unfortunately for Maddie he wakes to the craziest place around and he is unsure if he will make it out alive. Will Temple find him before it’s too late or is one blissful night all they have to cherish?

For fans of the series this was definitely a welcome addition and kind of coming of age for the next generation. Although Temple was a hybrid, to me he was a very strong character since his wolf was so unpredictable because he couldn’t change he was definitely the more dominant of the pair. I could relate to wanting to find your own place and his wanting to go to school in order to make something of himself. The love he had for Maddie was deep and sweet even though initially he didn’t know Maddie was his mate; he still wanted him and wanted to protect him. Maddie was just a very sweet and loving wolf shifter. Despite being a weaker wolf he embraced who he was and accepted his limitations. The fact that he was willing to let Temple find himself even though he knew Temple was his mate and it might lead him to loving someone else was admirable. When they did finally get their heads out of their behinds and get together it was very cute and just makes you want to squish them. I do not recommend that this be read as a stand alone. I loved that there was a plot besides the immediate mate bond, and I look forward to the next book in the series. If you are looking for a sweet romance, mixed with a bit of a thrill then this is the series and book for you.

Wow, Ms. Kell took us a whole generation into the future with a snap of her fingers... but, at least we know who Temple is now! *grin*

This book was, again, a series of dropped thoughts and missed opportunities... grrr

I am glad to have reached the end so that I can say I finished, but I am not sure that I will be giving this author a read in the future... maybe if she has done something more recent just to see if anything has changed. Hmmm...

I enjoyed reading about Temple and Maddie. They were perfect together once they did get together since it took them a little while to face the fact that they were mates. There's an evil wizard/vampire in the story and a bit of action. The ending was cute and overall, this was an entertaining read.

Wolf hybrid Temple Stewartson has his future all mapped out. First he will get his degree at wizard school, and then start a new life with his best friend wolf shifter Madison Archer.

Temple’s Touch is the sixth in the A Wizard's Touch series. This episode features the next generation; Temple is the son of Dean, one of the wizard triplets featured in Farren's Wizard and a female wolf shifter from the local pack. The plot consists of Maddie’s kidnapping, as well as the magical rescue actions performed by the wizards.

Temple is different from his siblings because he inherited more wizard traits; Temple is an empath who has a puny mating recognition sense of smell. Nevertheless, Temple knows he has grown to love Maddie over the years.

Maddie was adopted by the pack after his birth pack was destroyed in a flood. Although Maddie is not one of the stronger wolves, he is the fastest runner, which makes Maddie an asset for the pack hunts.

Amber Kell has created a thrilling installment to the A Wizard's Touch series that I immensely enjoyed.

I liked it. Definitely.
As the previous volume implied might happen, this book began to look at (literally) the next generation. Thirty years ahead. How nice that this can pass without real comment in a series as magical and non-serious as this one.

We have a cute couple with a storyline that changes fast enough to prevent utter predictability. At least in the long run.
I found it sweet (if strange) how they both start out thinking the other is not aware of being mates – and even better . Not sure if I liked the time skip when it occurred, but in the end things went very well and felt as balanced as it gets with this author, who is so fond of abbreviated storytelling.

I wonder how the avatar thing works, though. Huh!

Awesome!

This series is so cool. I love all the magic and wizardry. Temple and Maddie are mates and have been best friends since they were kids. Temple is going to school, and Maddie is learning about cars. They hate being separated and when Temple finally realizes Maddie us his mate, they claim each other. Maddie is kidnapped and Temple rescues him with some help. Well written, the stories are engaging and fun. It's great to read this fantasy series!!

And the trend continues.... rushed ending much? The storyline jumped to the next generation but we still have so many unanswered questions I am just left going meh... so how is the Djinn leader thing going? Did Eli ever get out from under his Dad's thumb? How is he making out as a Reaper - that would have been such an interesting storyline to pursue rather than to dangle and leave hanging. At least we now know that Jaynell is the headmaster so there is that answer.

I thought it was good, and I love the world and the characters and I'm crossing my fingers for the next books in the series *innocently blinking my eyes*. I recommend this for pretty much anyone who like m/m romance books, and I recommend authors like Amber Kell, Stormy Glenn, Lynn Hagen and Joyee Flynn.

Temple's Touch

I loved this book. I got to see read about the from a couple from one of the earlier books. I like how Temple and Maddie are together. Temple and Maddie's love for each other is so honest and sweet. Their is so strong that it helped them despite some problems that turned up. I hope their more books about the others having children and their lives. Erin

Temple's Touch is the perfect example of the Whitney Houston song "Save the Best for Last." I'm sad to see this fantastic series end, but this wonderful tale made it a little better. I can definitely recommend that if you want a great read that you get this entire series.

While it was nice to see the next generation, names were horribly scewed. Gideon became Gabriel? There were also name mix ups with current characters in some scenes.
I do hope Dirk gets a book and I hope the editing is a bit better. I like this series and hate to see a lazy edit ruin it.

Other than continuity issues this is a good book e.g. Jay's avatar was called Gideon in all of the previous books but in this book is called Gabriel

Happens later

This book happens later after the other books in the series. There are some good changes to the school. It is almost an epilogue to the others books.
